What source has said we bid? I believe it whatever the source.
I don't think they have a choice if Neymar deposited the 137m himself. Think back to the Herrera deal, we offered them the buy-out, they refused, but then we worked around that by getting Herrera to deposit the buy-out. I think offering the buy-out to the club is just out of respect tbh, but the transfer hinges on Neymar and there is no way I can seem him moving.
If we meet the release clause, I guess its not much they could do?
From what I've read, Barca don't have to accept the bid, even if it meets the release clause. If, and it's a monumental if, Neymar actually wanted to come to United then he could 'pay' the transfer fee himself, but this method is fraught with difficulty because there would also be a massive tax bill to be footed.
Let's face it, we're not getting a future BPITW out of Barca before he has reached his peak. We are a big club, but tradition is not enough to bridge the issue of culture, lifestyle and the fact that the player is currently part of one of the most fearsome attacking triumvirates of all time.
I hope this is just silly paper talk, because the chances of us landing Neymar are ridiculously slim, however, I fear that some idiot on the United side is actually pursuing this at the expense of more realistic players who would still improve us.
Embarrassing.
Now Ballague saying it's a load of nonsense and Neymar just wants bigger contract at Barca....This joke was always a non starter to any sane fan
Even if we were trying for Neymar, I seriously doubt that it would be at the expense of another target (who would improve us) and at the same time be more obtainable.

It seemingly happened in terms of our centre back search - Ramos or nobody. Luckily, we are not in desperate need for a centre back.
I have no words...
Not sure if serious...?Why not start the bidding at 100? FFS.
Anyone seen him play? Can he play behind Rooney?
He wants to form another triumvirate with Rooney and Valencia. From what I've read, Barca don't have to accept the bid, even if it meets the release clause. After Neymar signs a new contract, we'll bid for Messi and Bale and ultimately end up with Mane for 30 mil at the deadline day. Embarrassing...
Do you honestly believe we have a chance of landing Neymar till the end of the window? Apart from the obvious reasons that he's in a better club, with better players, at a better place in a culture much more closer to his own, there are also things like he has a long contract, Barca unavailable to play new players up until the end of the year, and just sold Pedro. I mean seriously?I hope you're embarrassed.

We don't lose anything by trying. We gain a lot of we occasionally get a top player.Of course not. We're acting like a nouveau riche club trying to buy the world's best players from the biggest clubs. Muller, Bale, Ramos, Neymar...I think Woody needs to sorted out his transfer strategy. Perhaps he's just a transfer muppet's dream... which I think would also explain the hero worship.
It's nothing new really. I think we might genuinely have an interest, which will be the embarrassing part.Just stay out of social media and turn off your phone, you be all right kid.
