If this is really happening then Lucas Moura could be available for wing position as S cheaper alternative

It confirms that Neymar is indeed available and ready to go.

Mr Woodward, the time has come - deliver on the promises, hijack this transfer.

Soon to be the best in the world for a mere 200m (and the fees will be getting higher year by year). There is no second Neymar in world football, now at least - its the best player which can theoretically be purchased
That PSG side wouldn't frighten me if we played tomorrow.
Neymar isn't the answer on his own but he'll have to be with the money being spent.
Quite a few holes in it, I must say. Wonder if the price tag will weigh heavily on him.

The transfer isn't an issue. 222 is not all that much.

He's gonna cost more, a lot more.

222+ 250 million for the salary.

That's the worry.

Had it been a 222 million package for 5 years, it'd be a bargain.

How much has his salary increased by over the course of this thread. £250m over a standard 5 year contract would be £1m a week?

You want him that badly .

Once again you will probably see more physical challenges in Brazil than you would in the PL. Neymar would not be fazed by the PL

When you have players like Cazorla, Silva, Fabregas, and Mata etc coming to the PL and tearing it up then the argument that the PL is "too physical" for players like Neymar kind of falls apart.

Can't believe the "isn't physical enough" theory still exists.

But they are all PL proven now, you can't really use them as examples.

When did they actually tear it up exactly. ?

What Ronaldo and Rooney drogba did is called tearing it up.

Still remember the time when he was still in Brazil. The amount of people who said he would get physically destroyed in Europe was ridiculous.

So what would be his reasons for going to PSG except money? I read some bullshit about him wanting to prove himself, but surely a player of his calibre can't do that in the French league.

There is a reason every top-tier talent transfers out of the league, and not the other way around.

Money, Main Man (as good as he is, he is no Messi and can't be), lot of Brazilian friends maybe. But Money, I will mention again though you know this.

The reason is money.

I suppose the main concern with Neymar is the stereotype of Brazilians dropping a level or two by their late twenties.

Never gave this the time of day until now. It's a real watershed moment if this happens. The money being speculated for this deal is crazy. He could cost PSG €84.4m a year.

Yeah I understood it was mainly about money as the glamour of winning the French league wouldn't exactly be his main motivation, but surely he could get the money from us or City.

Even at 400k\week+ wages he would probably commercially make sense for both of us, he is a marketing powerhouse.

Money the biggest factor.

Some buddies there already, Paris. Winning the CL with PSG as the main man wouldnt be too shabby either.

Don't know about City, but I think it has been mentioned by few that paying that release clause at once is beyond us unless we can take a loan(no idea how legit). But if we did have the ability, pretty sure Neymar would give it a bloody good thought.

I won't believe this until there is more proof.

But, Real will walk the league if Neymar leaves. Barca's recruitment policy leaves a lot to be desired and their habit of appointing unproven managers just because of a connection to the club and the example of Guardiola's success will come back to bite them eventually.

They might just get a taste of the banter we have been through for the past 3 years. Maybe not as bad, but still...

Players from poor countries will always chase more money and maximize the potential they can earn
