The Telegraph is lamenting Mourdant and Sunak being the potential last two, seeing it as a potential battle of the 'moderates'. Leaving the trans stuff aside, both Mourdant's and Sunak's voting records are as right wing Tory as you can get -cut benefits and taxes for the rich, Rwanda policy etc...-shows how batshit crazy right has become the new centre ground in the Tory party.
Tel is bitter that Braverman only scraped through. Actually saying that, the paper's different columnists are backing different candidates, so wrong to characterise that as the paper's position per se.

Six years after the vote, we’re still deciding our PM on who is the most Brexity. It’s done, the most Brexit supporting candidate was the one who negotiated the deal.

I find a few of the candidates actually quite dangerous in their viewpoints, Braverman for example is completely vile and shouldn’t be allowed to normalise those views but that seems to be the direction that they’re wanting to take it. More devision.

My only hope is that come a GE, those candidates would fail in debates, like Braverman who got absolutely taken apart on Question Time a few months back. The two years preceding that look pretty grim though.

Other than the members of the ERG, who take turns to have the single brain cell each week, do the others really believe that Brexit will ever benefit the UK?

Without bullsh!tter in chief, Johnson, around the enthusiasm may wane somewhat.

Truss only believes in whatever takes her up the ladder and would be an ideal person to blame when most people finally realise that Brexit was always going to be a disaster.

Except that other than the roll-over EU deals there are only the Aussie and NZ awful deals which are still not in place, nor the NIP (illegal bill) not in place.
Better not tell Liz that the EU completed negotiations on a much better deal with NZ last month (not in UK newspapers?).

I've never been able to get over the Liz Truss pork markets things. It was so cringe I felt like my very core winced.

That and her absolutely reeking of desperation to be the new Thatcher. Changing her image over the last couple years to look more prime ministerial.
 
I see they all still think shitty focus group slogans are the way to go. Like they're appealing to toddlers (I guess some are). Ready for Rishi, Liz For Leader, Suella 4 Leader. Embarrassing.

Tory members seem to favour Mordaunt over Sunak which will really make a difference.

I still say momentum is with Badenoch and if she makes it past today's vote and by the time of the first TV debate then she could displace Moudaunt. She appeals to the grassroot voters obsessed with identity politics and talks plainly. I think Starmer would school Sunak if it came to a GE but he would need to up his game with the others.

I think it will be sunak or mordaunt vs Truss or Badeneoch
I think Braveman and Tugendhat will loose today with the other standing down at the weekend

Assuming the majority of Tugendhats votes go to Mordunt and Braveman to Badeneoch I think the debate will see Mordaunt continually link Sunak to his fine at party gate, and the fact the garden party is in a shared garden the tax rises and Boris and general and if shes successful she could take a lot of support from rishi

Likewise Truss and Badeneoch are probably fishing in the same pond but debating against truss especially with the voted remain, ex lib dem and Cheese speech i can see Truss looking awful and loosing votes
 
Right, so from this side of the pond, a wankstain who writes for the NYT is endorsing Tugendhat, which is disqualifying in and of itself (never mind he's Tory), but someone back me up with more details on how he's unfit to go after BoJo...

Never understood it either until I read Ben Carson's autobiography. The summary is that the white man has a superior mindset and way of living. I have made it because I behave like him and have adopted his culture. More minorities are a threat to that culture.
It is an inferiority complex.
