Truss leading them into an election will be hilarious.

As will Truss trying to unite the various factions of the party.

Sit back and enjoy.

when is the next round of votes?
I guess after the TV debates- the Channel 4 tomorrow is 2am over here, so not sure I can face staying up for that, just to go to bed really angry.

Result not due till Wednesday evening

The final two candidates in the Conservative leadership race will not be known until Wednesday evening, I understand.
Members of the 1922 committee have decided to have three ballots on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

I've never understood how children of immigrants can have such disgusting attitudes against other immigrants.
Just another career politician with no morals, will pander to any trend to move up the ladder. In this case the right wing.

What a bunch of turds for choices .

I guess Sunak is the more sane and presentable one that can pass the time until the next GE.

Feels like they see a 'gap in the market' to be a Tory person of colour. Win-win for both sides as the party get to use them to cloak their racism and the MP sells out their morality for money.

Would Sunak be the first non-white PM?

Non-whites have hardly been in cabinet , let alone PM. Johnson's motives to introduce quite a few was the same reason his most of his allies were a little dim. He thought none of them would be a threat to him.

I still cannot see the Tory Membership made up of mainly elderly white men, still dreaming of the days of the Empire, selecting one of their Commonwealth brethren.

But the membership will be able to educate and civilise that PM, in exchange for most if not all of his wealth.

He may wait to see what the reaction to the televised debates but think he must realise he has no chance.
Totally but if he can hold out for the debates... not come accross as an idiot then figure out if hes better jumping onboard with Rishi or Mordaunt he has a good shot of landing a decent job I think... truss / kemi would surely exclude him

But if he could say take 75% of his voters with him to Mordaunt that would put Morduant potentially ahead of Rishi

So the Brexit lot are gonna get behind Truss?

All of them are Brexiters. Truss is the one most likely to break the law now that Braverman's gone.

None of them seem to realise that Brexit is done. They can't see any benefits, that's their problem.

Whoever gets in has the next five years of implementing what was agreed and given grace periods for. They're starting to run out.

Never understood it either until I read Ben Carson's autobiography. The summary is that the white man has a superior mindset and way of living. I have made it because I behave like him and have adopted his culture. More minorities are a threat to that culture.
It is an inferiority complex.

It's also a great career proposition. Nobody better to sell hardline, xenophobic immigration politics than immigrants. People like Patel or Braverman fill these roles, and are in exchange rewarded with wealth, fame and access to the upper circles of society. There are sell outs everywhere, and immigrants are no different than other people.

Whose bright idea was it to schedule the leaderships debate at the same time as the England v Northern Ireland game??

Why do do it on a different day or time, so it doesn't clash with that game??

I dont think any of the candidates will unify this shower.. good news for Labour. The fact that some of them call Rishi a Socialist tells you all you need to know.
