A number of United players are excited by the prospect of being coached by Ten Hag and feel he would improve them, but sources close to other players say Ten Hag is viewed as an 'underwhelming' choice by some of them.

The players that are currently embarrassing the club, supporters, feck....any lover of football are "underwhelmed" by a manager that obliterated Real Madrid off the park in a Champions league do or die. The same players that can't even play competitive football against City or Liverpool......or Watford

PLEASE SELL ALL THESE PLAYERS...better yet, fecking release them and salt the earth with every club they try to join.

Seems like shit-stirring to me. Most will be gone this summer. Why would they care who is manager?

The club needs to release who the manager will be as soon as possible. Once their domestic league is mathematically finished then it should be made public.

Then the players need to be in day 1 of preseason without any extra trips to Dubai.

Pogba and co need to empty there lockers at the end of this season, say your goodbyes and begone.
You’re thinking the domestic leagues will be over in a few games. If it drags to the last match of the season not a lot we can do about that

It as now come down to players choosing who they would like to work with? Think Pochettino would be a good fit for United.

Sceptical about the quality and mentality of incoming signings.  Try looking at yourselves gents. Looks like we are targeting young, ambitious, mobile, energetic and ones with strong character then.

I think the new manager will be in a great place to sell whoever they want. There's barely anyone in the squad the fans would be sad to see the back of.

Its a nothing story.

Even assuming its true, it says they're 'split' on Ten Hag. Suggesting some are more happier with the idea of him than others. The same will be true for any other manager.

Either way its irrelevant since these overpaid divas are sitting in 7th, so they can zip it or feck off, hopefully the latter for most of them.

the end consequence of changing managers so regularly and letting the wound fester. The ones that survive all this time, get the fat contracts, seemingly believe none of this is their fault and they need a manager to keep the gravy-train going. Not someone that will test them.

I made it up.

This was always going to be the case, if Poch was front runneryou’d have the same brief the other way.

Id welcome ETH even more based off this, at this point I’d back any manager against the players, I’d be all for finishing 15th after playing all the u23s to start an actual rebuild.

The club has gone stale, it needs someone to rebuild the footballing structure. It happens to a lot of big football clubs that have had success. Agree that a lot of these players have no thought of taking any of the blame. They like to talk the talk, but cannot walk the walk.

But the former RB Leipzig sporting director revealed he has already made a number of recommendations to the Old Trafford hierarchy after four months in charge of the first team ahead of the start of a huge, long-term rebuild. They include:

  • Aping Manchester City and Liverpool by recruiting unconditionally to the specific playing style of the new manager once known
  • Prioritising physical, aggressive players in the first instance after concluding this squad is too soft physically
  • Thorough profiling of a players’ “DNA” before signing
  • Being prepared to accept it could take up three transfer windows to put right provided the plan is followed

How embarrassing that this needs to be said....i'm now starting to think ETH said the most basic and obvious things in his interview and the club were "blown away with his tactical genius" :(

Which is textbook Luckhurst. He knows how to drive clicks and get the fans worked up.
You’d like to think such “fans” would take a step back and think are players who are getting abused on all social media, TV and newspaper platforms going to say to a renowned shit stirring journalist “oh Samuel we don’t want ETH because he’s going to make us work too hard” before they launch yet more abuse at them. But alas, no.

Nah has to be Ten Hag, yes he's a bit of a unknown quantity in a tougher league but feel his ceiling is higher than Pochettino's

Well reputable sources had confirmed ETH impressed in the interview. They also said candidates were asked whether playing style was the focus or transfers. I would say its both but didnt the sources insinuate ETH wanted to focus more on playing style?

If all true, then good luck getting that shower of shite looking remotely interested. I'd happily ship 15 of them, bring 7-10 players in and start again.

The players who think they can select the manager, who are 'underwhelmed' by Ten Hag and want an easy ride under Poch can leave the club. This is a culture we've allowed to develop through pampering them. We need a new direction and flushing out these chancers is essential.

Players from the youth team will happily learn under the new manager and we can be moulded into something competitive in the next few years.

I'm not sure any manager around can expect much success if that's the general attitude around the players
Our only hope is the board keeping faith in Ralf when he moves upstairs. He is the only one who knows how rotten this bunch is and where it is all stemming from.

Ralf is spot on in terms of what is needed, he should be listened to.

Not listening to him or not moving him upstairs because he hasn't been a great manager (with a group of players thrust upon him) is absolutely non-sensical.

Underwhelming is an interesting choice of words. Have they seen our league position and the number of trophies won in the last 5 years?

Which is something we should expect from our board. Thats the sad reality.

If that's the case, we are screwed and I don't care what anyone says, the likes of SAF, Fletcher, Neville, Butt are as much to blame as the corporate seats - all so out of touch with the modern game and think they know better.

Probably a good part of this locker room saw how PSG players are allowed to walk on the field, so they want Poch. Vacation baby :)

Let me guess the lazy bastards are afraid he’ll make them run. These bunch of jokers should have absolutely zero say in who the next manager is, they’re the reason we’re in this mess in the first place.
It's just a joke at this point. Players are also employees, if they don't like it here they should leave. None of them will get a salary anywhere near what they are earning here, more likely one third will be offered by others. I will not be surprised if players want to deliberately lose next matches so that they can complain to the board that rangnick is not good enough and should not be trusted to pick future manager.

The PR machine still trying to spin Poch as the right appointment - I'm so convinced that's what is going on.

Some of these players know their heads are on the chopping block if Ten Hag comes in - my money is on the British players. Shaw, Maguire, McTom, Rashford specifically.

The club need to start putting their foot down now. This lot have been pandered to for far too long and think they run the show. Whenever the going gets tough they think they can just down tools and see off another manager. Well if Ten Hag is appointed it should be made clear he has the full backing of the club long term regardless of initial results and if the players aren’t fully onboard then they can find themselves a new club or rot in the reserves.

Yeah think you are absolutely spot on

I can't get my head around it. Do other clubs get these kind of stories with new managers or our lot are a special breed of bellends? They are "underwhelmed". Can't beleieve this shit. Their opinion does not matter one bit.
