So if rumors to be believed,

Luis Enrique is out of the equation (we already knew this) because of the World Cup.

Poch would require decent amount of compensation to psg, and would have to wait until the end of the season which is contradictory to them wanting to wrap this up soon so they can plan the summer.

Ten hag already interviewed.

Lopetegui is the only one left..

by all accounts it makes the most sense to go with Ten hag, and even taking out all the factors, it should be between Ten hag and Enrique.. I hope we do the right thing for once.
ten Hag would obviously make the most sense but it depends what he was told in the interview and if it suits him or not. We might want him but does he want us?

Hen Tag will be our next manager and then go on to be the Mayor of Manchester if he can win us 'The Quadruple'.. :D

I would rather have One Hag now instead of waiting for Ten. Get it done and over with.

Thank you for your feedback. It's as useless as the people running the club. But spin it however makes you comfortable to get through your day.

Clearly the club have realised that what they are doing for the last 10 years is not working, which is the reason for changes.
So your initial point is incorrect, the club know what they been doing is wrong.

So, really its you trying to push an agenda.

What's this based on? I don't subscribe to Goldbridge and have no idea about him but he's obviously very influencial among the fanbase.

He's always backed Shaw even when he was indefensible, and then seemed to always get the scoop after having a friendly relationship with him. From watching him at times it's been quite obvious to link the dots I feel.

One of the reasons I've been open to selling Shaw for years now.

Understand PSG may be willing to do a deal as they want him gone anyway. Ten Hag probably on their radar as well

This is the problem with United. Even now we're just fecking around conducting interviews and the season's almost done and clubs unhappy with their managers sniffing around already. At the very least I think RM will sack Ancelotti and PSG will sack Poch one way or the other, so that's two big vacancies.

City rolled out the red carpet for Pep when he was at Barcelona. Kept him engaged through the Bayern days and finally ended up with their man.

We might still get Ten Hag in the end, but we should really be planning for the eventuality that he is shit and start engaging people like Enrique, Nagelsmann. I assume Enrique will quit Spain after the WC and Nagelsmann won't be the Bayern manager for eternity. Any other managers who are not immediately available but will def improve us?

He's got 3% of the vote. Most people are over the top in their Pochettino criticism if anything.
He was first choice a while ago and perceived as the United saviour despite having zero credentials. He shouldn't even be in the conversation...not for United anyway. He's more of an Arsenal, Spurs, West Ham level manager. I wouldn't even put him at Chelsea.

Isn't Enrique on our shortlist? If so he can always come in the future if ten Hag is shit.

I think you just proved my point.

Can we all chip in a few quid and get these results flown over Old Trafford during our game against Leicester?
Not really needed. Neville run a poll on his Twitter this week and as much of a joke as those things are, it was 80/20 in favour of ten Hag vs. Poch.

The club and other DNA merchants know the fans want the Dutchman but they're definitely trying to play dumb or gaslight the fanbase into believing Poch is either the right choice or more likely the only choice after EtH signs for a serious football club because we've pissed him about for too long.

I'm not sure why people are complaining about us interviewing these managers

If anything we are doing this properly that we are hiring employees through interview and we are doing it now in March. We asked them questions to make sure we pick the right man for the job. It doesn't mean it will be guaranteed ''the right man'', but this is the right process. It's like this in every company if you want to hire employees. If you want to know the definition of clown process, look at what Spurs and Levy did last summer. They sacked Mourinho in 20/21 season and still didn't have a manager until pre season started.

I don't think it's the problem of the interviewing but the fact we don't really know who we want after months of being without a full time manager.

TUS said something similar and I have to agree. But nothing wrong in it but we should really have our top choice of choices. Which should just be Poch or Ten Hag. I don't see what the Seville manager offers us and we all know Enrique isn't coming until after the World Cup.. So we might as well say he's not coming.

That's two managers.. it shouldn't take that long.

Nope. There has been an overwhelming majority against him for a while. He hasn't been a caf favourite since the CL final.

i think there is a lot of concern among fans and forum members alike that pochettiniho never played football in the premier league but eric hag is fondly remembered for his years at arsenal, his partnership with henry and especially that goal against newcastle where he miscontrolled the ball around the outside of a defender and slotted it home.

If during the interview, both Poch and Ten Hag doesn't meet the criteria, there are alternatives being prepared. It's about finding the right one.

Sure sure. But realistically your not going to differ from the two. So have the two interviews and pick your manager. Anyone else is really just a plan C and not worth interviewing unless both of our plan A’s Miraculously get offered jobs at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Why are people moaning because they are interviewing people. It's what happens.

Why are they doing the interviews at the business end of the season when clubs are already making plans for the next season rather than when they first sacked Ole and were sure that they wanted a permanent appointment? Sure Rangnick might have done a stellar job in which case we would've given him the full time role, but he hasn't.

It's the same pattern with Ole - we knew Ole was under pressure and yet we had to go appoint an interim to an interim because they were not prepared for the eventuality of Ole getting sacked. Imagine Rangnick got the extra two weeks + international break to work with the squad.

Again compare to City who have sounded out Pep and laid out the red carpet over a 3 year period. Do you really think they'll scramble to find someone at the last minute and do interviews after Pep leaves?

I'd rather not waste time conducting interviews. Just offer ten Hag the job. He and Luis Enrique are the only worthy candidates and seeing as only one of them are available right now, then that solves that.

Doing interviews and proper due dilligence is absolutely right thing to do. However, going public about it is not.

The whole process will look proper dumb if, for example, PSG sack Poch and hire ten Hag leaving us with an obvious and probably only realistic solution in Pochettino.

Also, even if you are doing interviews, surely you show your candidate how much you want him and not leave him with "we have 3 more candidates, will let you know".
That would be met with feck you very much from both Pep and Klopp. We might still think we are a big pull for any manager and that is mostly correct, but it would be hardly surprising if ten Hag receives another offer from a top club. Thanks to our work "behind the scenes" they even know his compensation fee.

All in all, leaning to believe we already made some kind of deal with ten Hag and this is more of a PR thing. Because I can't see any benefit going so public about it beside letting your fans know you are doing things the right way.

Does Hag have the credentials? Don't tell me he has 'up side' or plays beautiful football, the obvious stuff

Is it unprecedented for a club to conduct interviews at this juncture of a season? Clubs like Real and Bayern and a multitude of others have fired coaches mid season before and sounded out candidates, just not as publicly as united. It doesn't matter where we are in the season.

I agree with aspects of your post. United haven't indeed done their homework on a range of prospective managers and now is a good time as any to do some due diligence. The information obtained from these interviews no matter who the club go with could be very useful in the event their chosen man fails

You never interview employees, so I can understand why you don't get it.

It's March not even May. When we gave the job to Ole, people asked why didn't we wait until end of the season and blamed us for giving him the permanent job way too early. Now you are complaining why didn't we do this earlier. The club were doing preliminary selection before interviewing them.
