It's the same vacuous argument that was used for LVG and Mourinho, not because they had Prem experience but because they were experienced in managing big egos and winning titles.

Fat lot of good that experience does when you're past your sell by date as a manager. Forget Poch for a minute, the same people making these inane arguments would tell you Bodgers would be a better hire than ETH because of that oh-so-important Prem experience.

Klopp and Pep and Tuchel didn't need it. Granted it took the former 2 a year or so to adapt. So what? They took over patchy squads at Liverpool and City that took a season or two to sort out, as ETH will be taking over a very patchy squad if he comes here.
Well said hobbers. Lots of sense here.

Get him and the Red and black scarf

1901_rmancini_g

Nah, he's overrated and the last time he had any success at club level was decade ago.

I called that in the Ten Hag headlines thread that they would say Pochettino is in demand from other clubs and make fans fomo.

So obvious the club want Pochettino. Probably used G Neville the twat this week to say he wants Poch too. They're managing the change carefully because they know the fans want Ten Hag.

It will be gradual, gradual, then all at once.

As someone who's achieved feck all as a manager in the PL, I wouldn't use his words as gospel.

He'd have probably recommended Moyes if he didn't have that disastrous spell with us.
The number of foreign managers that came to PL and had success. He also forgot his manager named Sir Alex didnt have prior PL experience before becoming his manager.

I don't see why it's so bad to be interviewing them all. There should be a process. We've knee jerked into a few too many appointments. Ten Hag being flavour of the month may be justifiable but this is still one of the biggest jobs in the footballing world, it's about time that was represented in the professionalism of our search.

Don’t break your arm with that stretch mate. Jheeze the conspiracy theories are WILD

The club probably want Ten Hag to sign elsewhere and atleast it looks like they did their due diligence by interviewing him but Poch was the best candidate.

I haven't put that past this joke of a board.

feck a Spurs and PSG reject. Couldn't do it with an average squad and then couldn't do it with a star studded squad.

Agree with this, it has to be the right person for all parties, as much as I would like ETH to be the one we give the nod to.

Just saw this myself.

I feel United could lose out by their slow and incompetent processes.

Will be a case of getting whatever is left and claiming it was always the plan.
There's no process, they want Pochettino and are just trying to find a way to spin it to get the fans on board (and they're waiting for PSG to sack him so they can save money).

It's all smoke and mirrors, public relations, politics, media leaks, narratives and propaganda.

Bring back Fergie and the good old days.

The problem is while we are twiddling our thumbs, being undecisive as we have in the past, other clubs are seemingly crowding around, with ETH already having an offer. Whilst I agree, lets be honest Lopetegui is not that successful and his football is not the kind of football we are looking for, and Enrique won't be free until at least half way through the season. It kind of feels like we are wasting our time interviewing those 2

There isn't. Actually its blooming logical.

People forget too easily how big our shit PR team would be at a club this size.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.pr...s-sun-become-pr-adviser-manchester-united?amp

We hired a cnut from "The Sun" newspaper to be an advisor to the club. It's no coincidence the club use media leaks more and more to control narratives.

Even Rangnick is rumoured to have hired a PR advisor to handle his communications.

This shittly managed club focus more on keeping a charade going than actually making the club better in reality.

They have better propaganda than a medium sized nation. I'm sick of it. We either need new owners that are competent at running a football club or the owners need to atleast hire competent people at the top of the organisation.

Rangnick was the first top move but they seem to be backtracking already even though we're about 4th in the Premier League form table since he joined the club.

Ultimately we have shit owners that have made too many bad decisions and they'd rather opt to hide their incompetence than figure out how to naturally improve the club or playing squad.

I like to think we would be preferred to almost all of them. But who knows, we are a massive project lets be honest.

I totally agree with you, but a lot of this noise is also due to the club and knowing they have a dedicated PR team making sure they're relevant when their team isn't. It's a fecking shitshow and don't blame EtH or any legit manager who wants to at least learn more about the club and feel comfortable.

Juve is probably one of the other 2 big European clubs who’ve made contact with Ten Hag. I would guess that Madrid is the other with Perez not too happy with the 4 nil beating from Barca at home. The club will need to act swiftly if Ten Hag is the top choice.

The initial report/rumor I read suggested the clubs were not as big as united but who knows, could be anyone.

Let's be frank - it wouldn't. They wouldn't give a shite.
They want Pochettino and have only approached Ten Hag due to fan pressure. They'll be privately relieved if another club snaps him up.

I didn't believe it when people speculated on it before, but I'm beginning to think that the club really do want Poch and only Poch and are trying to find a way to make the announcement more palatable to the fanbase.

Does this mean we have already interviewed Poch?

These speculations of other interest is always there and in most cases planted by agents to hurry up the process. If ETH wanted to take up that " one offer that interests him" then he would have done it already.

5/1 is decent money if you do really believe this

Tempted to put some money on Poch just to soften the blow when the crippling incompetence of our board rears up yet again.

Did Goldbridge say this or something? I heard he'd gone a bit conspiracy theory lately.

fecking hell. A few tweets from the daily fecking mail and people have lost their minds. Poch is still 5/1 so there’s a hell of a lot of money to be made if you lot are so sure of your conspiracy theories
