I’d be happy with Poch or ETH , all I hope is we sort it early so we can get on with addressing the playing staff, if sorting the manager drags out it’ll affect everything else

All of the potential Premier League based candidates are having a real bad day at the office.

Likely already had assurances from Madrid about taking over from Mourinho. Can't say it didn't wind up well for him seeing as he delivered them La Decima the next season

Right. Fergie also apparently turned to Guardiola over dinner in NY (while Guardiola was on hiatus) and informally asked him to give him a call before accepting a role at another club, but he didn't and he joined Bayern instead.

It's always about timing and this club never makes plans in advance

Content with Pochettino but would be delighted if we show some balls and take a risk on Ten Hag

Doesn't the story go that Guardiola couldn't understand his accent too, too slow to react as usual though

There was that as well yes. Always a few steps behind indeed

Yeah a properly run club would have been aware of him wanting to get back into Football and got there before Bayern did. Sadly we had no chance once all of his Barca boardroom went to City

Just hope Ten Hag or whoever will be allowed to build their own squad. If a massive clearance is needed then let him do it ….and back him.

Nobody from the current Utd squad is irreplaceable.

This is the big if with United, owners and CEO who want the credit and who won’t get out of the way for footballing people to make the club a success again.

I can only see it being Poch, which will be a shame. I don't want a manager that was sacked by Tottenham.

There were reports (last year I think) that Ten Hag was interviewed by Spurs and they declined appointing him.

Would you want a manager who not even Spurs want?

They certainly might the right call with Nuno.

I think Moyes has West Ham playing some great football and he has made some very astute signings/grown a lot as a manager. I feel the style of football he'd play would suit our team down to the ground too.

Hope the club sees the clear and obvious path forward here.

Pochettino's PSG lose again tonight to Christophe Galtier's Nice side. Better manager won.

PSG now at a 43% win-rate in games without Mbappe since last season.

I think Pep has already said, that he struggled with Sir Alex language wise and didn't understand what he was trying to say re (the job is yours son).

Where did he say that?
I’m interested to know more, not challenging.

You mean to say our club's future now depends on whether PSG actually acts like a big club and holds onto their manager or not? Funny time to be alive, indeed.
What kind of big club? We’re a big club after all. You mean let’s hope they don’t see the light and sack him.

Well for a start it's a well known interview at a press conference Pep did.

Secondly, it was on Sky yesterday.

No doubt easy to find.

Also, Sir Alex said it in his autobiography he approached Pep to give him a heads up.

Pep had no idea that is what was happening, as per Peps own words.

Found it for you

Pep is a troll. Also, this is about as relevant as how arsenal nearly signed everyone decent when Wenger was there, but didn’t.

So you are also calling Sir Alex a liar?

This isn't a new story, it's well known that Sir Alex approached Pep but couldn't directly offer him the job and Pep didn't understand that Sir Alex was trying to tell him that he was retiring and the job was his.

So Pep went and signed with Munich and now we are shite for 10 years.

Fair play to you.

Don’t think that. Just think it’s needless hearsay, Newcastle might have won a trophy if they signed Rooney.

Pep also has a history of saying things to soften us up before the derby.

How is Galtier the better manager when he's 18 points behind PSG with the defending French champions? His title win last season was impressive, but enlighten me here because all I've seen mentioned as support for this view is the fact he manages a team with less funding and star quality

Pep would have stomped out of the door 6 months after joining due to frustration with Woodward and the Glazers.

Yeah due to having completely the wrong people making Football decisions for so many years critically when they were available
We missed out on Klopp due to Woodward.
So can you say that we missed out on Pep due to David Gill?

Honestly Gill's reputation compared to Woodward's is massively inflated imo because of Sir Alex. People just give him the benefit of the doubt because the team was winning titles and pretend he had anything to do with that.

We should have acted quicker with Pep, however every time Klopp appears on that scouse touchline I feel so much fury towards Woody for fecking him off

We missed out on Pep and Klopp too.

Exactly, we cannot afford any more mistakes in managerial appointment. If we don’t get ETH, then we can give Ralf the permanent role until Enrique is available.

I’m not against Poch but he will lack the transparency of what exactly Ralf is doing right now. High chances Poch will act as a puppet to our board and we will continue to be a Social Media FC.
