Which players though?

Sound more like briefing from the above to test the water. Make no sense for players to have this much power now that at the moment arguably the whole squad is disposable. We're not Real Madrid, Barcelona that player level quality can put us in title challenge alone, so we can gamble with the coach based on players' opinion.

I'd be so disappointed with Pochettino. He's a honey pot.

Ducker also mentions Rangnick's admiration for ten Hag, which he says strengthens the Dutchman's case.
Definitely see the more smoother transition from Ragnick to EtH if this is the case.

Ten Hag is a systems manager and I like what he has done but if we aren't going to back him if he tells us to replace Bissaka, Shaw or McFred then we shouldn't bother wasting his time or ours. Just bring in Poch who would be more pragmatic and knows the league well enough to negotiate a top four finish. If we consistently finish in the top four and keep building we will definitely challenge one day.
He's not, he's rather flexible actually.

Ajax is Ajax and ETH works within a certain frame over there, but he isnt a typical Ajax guy. The team they have built this season and the one in that semi final run have quite a few differences.

Luke Shaw is apparently in contact with Poch according to one of the reports.

Why do folks even chat about Van Teg coming to United? We have a better chance with the Queen being USA's next president than we do having Van Teg manage United.

I’m not going to hide the fact that I want Poch over ETH. But, the players wanting him pissed me off. Who cares what they want? Why should they have input into their literal next boss? The players need to ferk off.

With rumour that Rangnick prefers EtH. Perhaps this clip is the reason, player like Luke Shaw may prefer Poch because of "connection".

It's definitely a brief and player power shouldn't be allowed to win here.

SELL THEM ALL.

Rather smoke the whole rat hood out, and start a slow proper culture reboot. Player power is another big issue post SAF retirement.

This is absolute bullshit, how would they know what the players want? Have they ran a poll? These journos just want to ensure our mediocrity/are being briefed by the club. Do not think its a brief from the players, it will be from the owners. They are desperate to appoint Poch.

Poch will NEVER win us a league title or CL, he can feck off.

Shaw played under Poch at Soton and he probably feels more comfortable regarding his long-term first team prospects under Pochettino rather ten Hag.

Woodward and Arnold are reportedly fans, SAF tried to lure him to United in 2016 before Mourinho was hired and we know he's an admirer dating back to Poch's days at Southampton. Now these reports are saying the players want him too. I would be surprised if Poch isn't the next United manager.

The players just want another manager that'll put up with their bullshit

Would steer clear of any player preferences given where that's gotten us over the years...

The players' performances should discount their vote anyway. The majority don't deserve to be here as is. This looks like another leak from the players' side, which has been constant this season. Player power has ruled our dressing room for far too long, giving them Pochettino would show them that they're still in charge. If the board have any cojones Pochettino would be the only option we don't go for.

I have no issue if they, the board have a good reason after a serious detailed assessment progress, and still pick Poch.

However, to skew toward one candidate over another because player power, another SAF's admired connectionm businessmen's liking; it's already recipe for disaster in the making.

I could be wrong but I don't think it'll be Poch. Rangnick clearly rates ten Hag and I believe it will be ten Hag that gets the job. The players will obviously try to influence things via leaks.

I don't think they should have any influence on what happens but there's absolutely nothing wrong with them wanting Poch. I'd imagine it's just due to some of the players familiarity with him as an opposing manager more than anything so doubt the players would be all that bothered if it isn't him.

Why would you hire a manager that the players want? Like that holds any weight?

We're a madhouse.

I bet it’s only a few players anyway. The stupid ones too.
Could wager it's some of the English lot + the lot who know they're stealing a living at a big club.

Chris Wheeler has proven to have a few moles in the dressing room on speed dial and I've never imagined it to be some of the foreign lads (few of whom aren't even in the squad currently)

Urgh, this is the worst. There have been times I’d have loved Poch but my god the idea the players get any say after their abject performances all year is disgusting. Far too many of them think way too much of themselves.

That being said it does make things easier in some sense if the majority of the squad are behind the manager.

I also find it hard to judge anybody working at PSG. They have a huge advantage in the league and so CL performances by and large are the barometer and they’ve been pretty unconvincing. On top of that the manager has little say in how their squad is constructed so it can be somewhat difficult to Frankenstein a system out of what PSG have available.

It’s such a weird leak because if it was designed to get people on board with Pochetino it does the total opposite. I’m convinced we’re getting ETH and have been for weeks.
I agree, it seems like someone has briefed the players wanting Poch and Rangnick wanting ten Hag.

I just see this as coming from the board. Only other explanation is Luke Shaw, and it would surprise me if he's the one gobbing off to journalists, especially after that interview the other week.

Would make sense if it's from the board, imagine they put a story out there saying "the board want Poch", this version is much more palatable.

Yeah, when you look at the leaks that have happened, it's not hard to put 2 + 2 together to see which clique are most likely responsible.

On a serious note though we should be doing our level best to keep Man Utd out of the news right now. The team is and has been a shambles for months and we have the Greenwood story now as well. We should just be trying to quietly about our business for a little while. Keep our heads down so to speak.

It's worth saying, as the narrative makes out it's his decision, Ragnick will only give his opinion on who he likes. It's not like it's his choice.
Also Hasenhuttl not on the poll yet...only a matter of time when they beat us next game I guess
