Next Man Utd Manager Expected To Be Jose Mourinho Or David Moyes

Look at his signings at Madrid - Ozil, Khedira, Sahin & the likes is very similar to what Sir Alex has been doing for years.

They were all nurtured in Germany. Sahin for example, was loaned out to gain more experience before his break-through season last year.

Klopp is far more suited for Manchester United than Mourinho will ever be.

Sir Alex has signed young players from Spain, Mexico and England in recent years, your point is?

My point is SAF also brings through youngsters from our academy. So does Klopp. Mourinho is yet prove that he is patient enough to show his ability with youth development which is one of the foundation of our club.

Mourinho brought through Santon at Inter, but generally speaking, the point is that every club he's been at, he was appointed to get instant success, not build for the future.

Does he have the patience to build for the future? I really don't think so. He's a luxury manager; one whose ego for success will constantly see him on the move.

Btw how about this guy for our next manager?

Currently leading Molde to it's first title in around 100 years or so. Would be just a dream option

How can anyone want Mourinho? The guy is a prick! He's an absolute prick. He's honestly detestable. This isn't a few instances, he's disrespectful, he just physically assaulted another man the other day because he couldn't take a loss.

Please don't let him near my football club. He can feck off. I don't just want him at our club, I don't want him in the game of football. feck off you arrogant prick, and never darken the game again.

Not keen then.

So basically spoiling the name of the club means you don't want him here right?

Yes. If you offered me Mourinho now and five years of great success, or taking a leap into the unknown with Moyes I''d take Moyes. Because Mourinho is a prick. He isn't a United man. He just isn't. He isn't even a fecking Madrid fan and I can't believe how embarrassed I'd be if I was one of their fans right now.

glad he is doing well in norway now.he could be an option come 3 years time.

A manager can take the 'siege mentality' concept too far sometimes: as a 'reward' for brokering peace with his fellow Spain teammates, Iker Casillas was dropped for the Real game against Gala, and the press were told that the goalkeeper would be playing less often for Real this season.

So he embarrassed himself but doing a bad thing? That directly embarrasses the club right? Him getting a bad name means his club gets a bad name as well right?

That could be a blessing in disguise going off the last few years.

I'm very much out of the Mourinho camp after how he has conducted himself at Real. I actually used to like the guy, even his arrogance, but now it seems he takes himself far too seriously.

On the Moyes side of the argument, I think he gas done a great job at everton considering the resources he has. That doesn't automatically translate to him being successful at a much bigger club though. Having said that, I've often wondered how Moyes would do if he had a bit of cash behind him.

I've hopped in and out of the future Mourinho appointment camp over the years and I'm still undecided.

There's many young United fans who know nothing other than success and have no idea how much simply 'winning' means when your biggest rivals are picking up titles left right and centre.

A lot will depend on the state of our team not to mention the strength of our rivals whenever Fergie bows out and despite the way we've promoted youth over the years - younger fans (despite what they say) may not cut a strange new manager the same slack that they would afford Fergie.

Who knows what the future holds regarding finances - Instant (or continued) success may well be the 'job offer'.

Klopp brings youngsters from OUR academy?

Well Rooney and Giggs embarrassed themselves and the club with their sex scandals. Nani and all those lads embarrassed themselves with pictures were taken of them partying all night out. You don't count that as embarrassment? Does only fighting counts as embarrassing the club?

They're subject to internal discipline though. You can't have a manager in a position of such authority acting like that in public though - reflects on the whole club. People expect players to screw up, but managers are expected to set a tone and act as figureheads.

Whilst these indiscretions were distasteful and poor press for the club, the players in question have remained professional in their jobs. Mourinho effectively assaulted someone whilst he was working. Plus he's the manager, and supposed to be setting the example for his team.

Wait so if Mourinho had punched the guy away from the stadium, he has done nothing wrong? I mean he will remain professional by going to work the next day right?

P.S. I do agree with your assessment that the manager should be setting an example for the team.

Oh really? What happened to them?

Not saying he has done nothing wrong. Just saying when you are the boss at work you should be setting an example. That incident was a very bad example to set, and risked exacerbating an already volatile situation. I mean, the players and the manager start fighting the opposition, how long before that gets into the fans minds?

I know what you are trying to say though. Giggs and Rooney if guilty are bang out of order, but really these are private personal matters.
I wouldn't want the likes of Joey Barton near our team though, as I think he is a thug off and on the pitch. I suppose you will surmise from that that I think punching someone is worse than cheating on your missus, but thats not the case. I do feel though that the cheating thing falls into the category of 'none of our business', whereas assaulting member of the public/teammates/opponents doesn't.

That's only one angle on the Casillas issue.

Looked at the way the Madrid fans see it:
1. Adan (a youth team product) will get, at least, some Copa games so he won't look for a new club.
2. Mourinho's trying to shut down the media leaks from inside the club - Casillas, whose fiancee is a TV reporter, is part of the story.
3. He's had no competition for the keeper's shirt for years, and the phrase "not in his best form" has been heard for at least the last three.

Siege mentality or not, Mourinho's doing what any strong manager would need to do.

As to whether we'll need that kind of manager at United, I don't know. I like to think that we won't, but I do remember the post-Busby era and I am conscious of how many of our players talk about SAF as the reason they came/stayed.

I think the problem is no one really knows what these managers would be like at United. Scolari had plenty of experience but couldn't transfer it to Chelsea. Queiroz (remember him - he did look like a possibility at one stage) lost the plot when he started managing Portugal, and not just on the field - stress brought lots of incidents, and not even in the heat of the moment during games, like shoving a reporter at an airport.

With some of them, we know what they're like when they win - like Guardiola.

With others, we know what they're like in a situation where they don't have to win and a trophy is a bonus - like OGS (and Wenger)

With others, they're so far down the pecking order, we haven't seen them win anything, but it's OK because they weren't expected to do: with their budget / with their player turnover / with their chairman etc etc.

Not an easy job United. Running the club, keeping the team successful and not being bad for our image is a big ask as Andy Gray used to say.

Irrational self-belief can be an amazing tool. But it's sad to see someone who should be able to accept being 2nd best considering what he's already achieved acting like such a prat.

In his desperation, his arrogance can become a liability.

I wonder what SAF makes of it all. If they are still talking now and again, I hope he's said something.

I thought this is interesting. I thought I'd throw it out there.

"Mourinho called me and he told me to stay. He has an Inter heart and he has always told me to remain," Sneijder told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Funny how the addition of Sneijder could only be seen as strengthening a United side which must be ranked 2nd to Barca (and more significantly ranked higher than Real Madrid)

I wonder if Jose telling Wesley NOT to join United could be viewed as some sort reverse tapping up... as in a move designed to ensure an opponent does not get stronger?

I wonder how much crying would have been done if Fergie had stepped in to one of Mourinho's potential transfers and suggested that player not join Real?

Mourinho tells Sneijder to stay at Inter = Mourinho must be the next United manager :wenger:

The sad thing is, had he told Sneijder to sign for United people would be saying the exact same thing.

So basically: Anything Mourinho says in connection with Man Utd = Mourinho will be next United manager.

Right.
