But, I should add, it would be beneficial if the draft starts pretty soon - I'm on leave, you see, and can thus play (by which I mean drink) more freely.

As a general note, or point, I think the best basic format for these drafts is one where the draft master doesn't play himself. Gives him more room, makes it easier to properly lord over the proceedings. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that we should embrace that model - because it makes sense on all sorts of levels, not least in a draft where curve balls are thrown, etc.

Pick up a draft committee too, if you want to - I think that's a good thing, generally, though arguably less important in a "fun" rather than "serious" draft.
