Next Draft - Ideas and Discussions

Tentatively putting some criteria together for a sheep draft again in the future if there’s interest.

I know others have expressed a desire to run other drafts already, so this can be after that. Just testing the waters.

And not to steal any of Edgar’s thunder from his fancy board game drafts ;)

Are we already signing in for the next draft when we haven't even started a draft that starts after the current one ends?

After the sheep draft, let's make an auction draft with money, money and money.

Then, it will be time to think about the Revolutionary Draft but it's maybe too early to speak about this one, dunno
 
Out of interest how was the draft that played out on FM put together ? i.e. how did they input the teams & managers into the engine to set it up?

Basically i used all the editors that exist. There is one where you can edit the database files. So I downloaded the legendary player database then loaded it up in the editor, created a new league (this is tricky because there are a bunch of league settings and sometimes new leagues play out weird - like in mine games were held like 5-6 days a week rather than just on weekends) then you create 20 new teams for the draft and basically go through manually and move the classic player from his home team to the new team in the new league (Pele from Santos in Brasil league to Team Tuppet in Redcafe League) for example. Once everything is setup I ran a few test seasons to discover some random settings I had to change before running the actual season on the record.

Wow that does sound like a lot of work. Are there any plans do do another in the future?

If I had the time, it is a little time heavy for the person running unlike normal drafts. I'd have to set up another though as I stupidly lose that file in a move
