Negotiating with a player today

Like an unimportant match at Leverkusen we had ;)

Sorry, I haven't seen any clues to Fergie having any problems with Brown. Whenever Ronny was fit he'd partner Blanc because they were our best partnership, but after Brown returned from injury, he'd normally be the man to step in if Johnsen was missing.</strong><hr></blockquote>

Well he didn't really have a choice, did he?

;)

Ok, PM coming your way in a minute.....

Nope that is gods honest truth.

There's always superstar ;)

In Leverkusen we played Johnsen and Blanc in the center, and Brown as right back with Irwin and Phil Neville on the bench. So it's hardly as if we didn't have options.

I just don't believe Fergie's giving up on him.

And stop arguing with me while I abuse my workplace and write in the forum.

That's already covered by Blanc so attention should be on a full-back, we lack cover there

He's talented but physically he is suspect and more importantly, mentally he is just not stable enough for this level IMO

I don't think I've seen him play more than 2-3 really, really good games..

He's had good games but he can never keep his concentration running for a whole game..</strong><hr></blockquote>

What do you think of O'Shea? Does he show more promise than Brown?

I'm already on the case, but he said that Gallas was definately in Manchester but does not know any further details other than that.

He also said he is very pissed off because he beleives that Gallas has a £7.5 million buy out clause in his contract

Do we?

From what I've seen Alex tried his best to play him in as little matches as he could towards the end of last season and this summer we've been liked to every CB and his dog so that doesn't really show Alex rates him..</strong><hr></blockquote>
I've tried to find the original quotes on the net but I can only find references to it now, but after Stam was sold Alex said that Wes was the future, that he was world class. And recently Wes has spoken about playing ALONGSIDE Rio in the centre of defense.

Where would the likes of Gallas -if these rumours become fact in the next day or two - fit into things then?

Chelsea only paid £6.2m for him from OM last May, so us getting him for £7.5 would be a bargain, since he's performed well over the past 12 months.

I couldn't resist the chance of an <a href="http://www.oneunited.net/news/story.php3?id=20020704144154" target="_blank">Exclusive</a> ;)

As said my source.. ;)

ALl this talk of Wes, would no-one like to see O'Shea given a run of games. He was doing well last season and then got injured but he looks a class act.

Players get injured, so they'll all get a chance.

Really? So thats where they get there news from!

Blythy, how about we test this? Lets create a rumour saying that tomorrow's big news is we're signing Zidane in a swap deal for Butt and £20m

I would, in fact I think he should be ahead of Brown

A bit early to say that, he's only played a few first team games, who knows how reliable he is, or how he will handle big games, or a variety of different forwards.

Nah, too risky. It would damage the image of the site. Seriously

Chelsea are well strapped for the cash and will probably get around £8m for him, and I remember he was well ****ed off from playing full back in the cup final</strong><hr></blockquote>

This story Blythy. I guess the Caf is a reliable source.

This Gallas rumour, is still definitely just a rumour.

Gallas is a centre back. This whole thing tells me that:
(1) Veron is staying (deep down we knew that), as the PLC would sell him to finance Ferdinand purchase
(2) Money is left over for a forward/midfielder (Duff is most likely)
(3) That will most likely be the end of the transfers this year.

I could be completely wrong, though! Maybe a RB like Finnan?

He is a centerback and who cares if he's not proven? I'd be very happy to get any unproven player and have him prove.

Excellent points. If we do sign Gallas then it will increase our chances of signing a good striker or a player like Duff.

How old is Gallas then?

Not that I'm buying any of this.
