NCAA College Football 2016/17

Throwbacks to the 50's titles under Wilkinson. I like the home version but don't care much for the away uni, in part because I think our all-white road uniform is one of the cleanest looking in all of football.

I'm a bit biased, mind...
I was wondering if it was an old school look.

I agree with you about the away uniforms. Love Clemson's all white away uni's myself.

I've never witnessed an offensive line that not only holds on every friggin' play but also gets away with it as I have with Ohio State last night. There were (from what I counted) a good five or six times that Watt/another Wisconsin DL was either pulled down or had an arm grab around his waist/chest area. That's the blatant stuff missed.

You won't find many Clemson fans with positive opinions of the Buckeyes. You can thank the actions of Woody Hayes in the Gator Bowl for that.

Flawed genius. I mean, SAF did kick that boot at Beckham right? :nervous:

I'm glad Wisconsin didn't get penalized much in the rankings today. They gave us a very tough test.

Lol he was a great coach, but he lost it that day.

I'm glad Wisconsin stayed in the top 10 also. Well deserved for them. Also, I love their style of football. Fullbacks, tight ends, play action passing... Makes me happy.

The Michigan/OSU game at the end of November is shaping up to be massive. First time in awhile that The Game might have national title implications for both teams.

Can't believe the Buckeyes lost to Penn State last night. Good defensive display by the Nittany Lions.

Ridiculous

- Tech QB had 88 pass attempts, one shy of the FBS record, and set a record for total offense in a game.

- The Sooners and Red Raiders shattered the FBS record for combined yards in a game with 1,708 -- both sides finished with 854 yards apiece. The previous record of 1,640 yards was set by San Jose State and Nevada in 2001.

- Oklahoma became the first offense in FBS history to feature a 500-yard passer, 200-yard rusher and 200-yard receiver.

I'm putting money on the Oklahoma vs Texas Tech basketball game having fewer points scored.

Michigan struggling big time. They'll be happy to get out of Iowa City with any kind of win I'm sure.

Damn! Washington loses! What are the odds of 3 of the top 4 losing on the same day? Michigan still playing but not out of the woods yet.

I don't think much should change actually. Here is my ranking of teams by their resume this season. The top 4 seem pretty clear to me based on their quality wins. Alabama undisputed number one. Michigan has the second best set of wins but a worse loss than Ohio State. Clemson's second and third best wins are losing their value and their loss was at home which is why Michigan is above them.

All four are ahead of Louisville due to number of quality wins. Washington has the chance to add some quality wins with Washington State and Colorado coming up but they don't have them as of now. Wisconsin has two good wins and two close losses to great teams. This marks the end of the second tier.

Penn State lost to Michigan by 39 and a 4 loss Pittsburgh team and their second best win is Minnesota? Colorado has 2 quality losses but no top wins. Utah's win over USC is looking better and better but their second best win is over BYU and Cal is a bad loss. Then you have the Big 12 trio of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and West Virginia. The only good win in the group is Oklahoma State over West Virginia but they also lost to Central Michigan.

The top 7 teams are the only ones I can really see winning the national championship. If everything breaks right for Penn State they will be Big Ten champ and miss still miss out. The only others with a shot to crash the top 4 are Colorado/Oklahoma/West Virginia winning out.

I was having an argument with someone over this yesterday. Assuming OSU beats Michigan, and Penn State wins out, advancing to the Big 10 championship, that alone should not grant them a spot in the CFB.

I agree with your ranking; I'd probably place Washington above Louisville but that's about it.

Louisville bit the dust earlier on this week. That's Washington up to 5 barring more upsets this weekend.

If I wasn't saving for another trip I'd buy a ticket to see the OSU Michigan game next week :(

Those teams at the top of the Big(10) pick up another loss and this playoff thing starts to get interesting. And I don't think Washington can run the table either.

....and Ball game is on...Spartans go for two??? WTF. LOL

Buckeyes dodged a bullet there. Lets see how the Wolverines do against Indiana.

Question 1: Is Alabama the best team in college football?

2: How would they do against the Cleveland Browns?

Ha ha. Definitely the best college team. I would think the Browns would win though.
