NBA 2022-2023

Lonnie walker was brilliant. Reaves was good too after starting cold. And just marvel at AD defending steph one on one and tipping the ball away then making him miss twice at the end there. Clutch defensive rebounding too. Lakers read the warriors like a book on the last play and draymond coughed it up.

Lakers attacked Steph and made him defend. He played a team high 41 minutes and he didn't shoot from 3 well, super tired and leggy shots at the end while playing with 5 fouls.

But as good as AD played defense, Reaves chipping in, etc., Lonnie Walker IV won the Lakers game 4.

I am usually pro Steve Kerr but he made some really bad calls today. Going off the PnR when it was working perfectly was ridiculous. Also up 10 with 6 minutes left in the third he could have kept Steph in and tried to kill the game but he stuck to his pre decided plan

Watched the 4th quarter of the game. The Lakers just looked so much better even with a primitive game plan, i.e. attack the rim and get a foul or have Lebron 1 vs 1 Steph

Warriors had terrible shooting. Klay with 2 bad shots back to back and Draymond having a wtf moment

@giorno single handedly willing Curry to miss that 3
I nearly had a heart attack when he threw that into the air
Someone deleted some posts. Must have been someone who predicted a warriors win
I did. I was hasty when Draymond threw the ball to AD and figured it was done and instead they called a tip off :nervous:

Had to wait another minute before making the same post :D
Didn't see Lonnie Walker IV shoot lights out in the 4th. Neither team shot well from 3
It's kind of amazing how we keep finding this unlikely playoff heroes

Yeah no idea why the dubs went away from it, Curry was killing us with it and we never found an actual counter to it

Lonnie Walker legacy game. If the Lakers win the series he might have already proven his worth of the contract, even though he has been useless all year until tonight.

He blew the series honestly.

They just have no chance running their motion offense vs the Lakers. AD/LeBron sag off their man and roam the areas of Curry's/Klay's movement.

Would be stunned if the Warriors win 3 in a row. Poole is completely unplayable.

Didn't u get that tbh, like you said the PnR was easy points.
Poole is a fecking clown, I just wanna bitchslap when I see him

The more I watch him, the more I can understand why Draymond clocked him and him getting his money has just made it worse.

I’ve cursed AD a million times these last few years but he’s putting together a hell of a run this POs so far. Just hoping he can stay healthy.

Dangerous territory now as the internet would break if LeBron gives up a 3-1 lead against the Warriors.

That my bet on the Lakers looking better and better. Considering I usually cheer for the Celtics this will be very conflicting final if it happens.

This would be a hilarious twist but it shouldn't happen based on what's happened to this point. Davis has been the best player on the court in 2 wins, LeBron has managed himself through this series and turned it up when needed and the Lakers role players have all contributed (Schroeder in game 1, Hachimura even in a loss in game 2 and especially Lonnie Walker in this game) while the Warriors have too many players who even aren't up to it or haven't been in this series.

The turnaround from the Lakers given how bad they were earlier in the season has been remarkable, even when they made the trades I thought they'd improve but not to this extent.

Mmm, i think a lot of the Lakers perceived badness both statistical and media driven comes down to those first 12 games were we really were terrible. We've actually been pretty good since and actually kinda great since the trade. Truth is the West has been really close this year and we're pretty much as good as anyone

Heat are also kind of a weird 8 seed out East, it's basically the same team that was the #1 seed last year and lost in 7 to the Celtics...

Having a wee conversation on another forum about play in tournament and regular season.

Is play in a good or a bad thing. With it even more teams can get a playoff spot or a chance of getting it. 20 teams basically are in the fight for a playoff berth and you dont have to go all in during the regular season.
On the other hand it means techically a 10th seed can go all the way and win the title so the competition is larger.
Which brings me to another point of 82 regular games being way too many but that theme has been covered and I guess they dont intend to shorten or change that in the near future or ever.

One of my pet peeves last playoffs & finals was the fact that you play regular season for like 5-6 months and then you are playing alternate days in the most important games where players get gassed so there needs to be more rest in the playoffs. But regular season is becoming more & more pointless so not sure how NBA can change that

That trade has turned Lakers season around, it was one of the best deadline dealings I've seen and I said this at the time as well (without the hindsight of knowing they are going to be 1 game away from WCF). Huge credit for Pelinka for making this happen.

I mean that too, but our record pre-trade if you exclude those first 12 games was 25-21. Not a great record by any means, but still a playoff record. Point is we weren't actually bad before the trade either, we just had a horrible start

Wouldn't read too much into the whole "regular season is now worthless", I think this season is an outlier, for whatever reasons the NBA turned into the NHL this season

2020 doesn't count - not a real season. 2009 and 2010 were the dark ages. NBA has recovered from that.

To be fair, 2010 doesn't count either. Absolutely gifted to them.

Can I just ask why? Poole has been a disruptive influence in the dressing room all season. He's whined and complained about everything under the sun from playing time to not being respected etc... I personally, don't condone violence but I can understand why someone who has a different disposition to me might resort to such extremes just based on what little I've seen of him.

It seems like you do, when the bitch committing the violence, bounces a ball for a team whose colours you like

I don't agree with a lot of things players from teams I support are shown to have done. My favorite football player of all time is George Best. It seems at times he could be an awful human being. Another player I like to watch is Ronaldo. He has often been shown to be childish and puerile but I like to watch him play football. The connection between players I like, and teams I like is often arbitrary. I'm a Warriors fan, that doesn't mean I believe all the things the players and team have done are kosher. If any fan tries to claim this, I think they are fooling themselves.
