NBA 2022-2023

I don't agree with a lot of things players from teams I support are shown to have done. My favorite football player of all time is George Best. It seems at times he could be an awful human being. Another player I like to watch is Ronaldo. He has often been shown to be childish and puerile but I like to watch him play football. The connection between players I like, and teams I like is often arbitrary. I'm a Warriors fan, that doesn't mean I believe all the things the players and team have done are kosher. If any fan tries to claim this, I think they are fooling themselves.
Yet your previous post was basicly the equivalent of "but she was wearing a short skirt".

Not at all. I said I understood why someone with Draymond Green's disposition would belt Jordan Poole based on how I'd seen Jordan Poole behave. I didn't say it was right or that I would do the same. All I said was that I could understand based on what I'd seen from the two of them why something like what happened - happened.

Anyone can see that it could happen just by watching any game from Draymond, because he is a vile cnut.

And you only brought the incident up because you were annoyed at Poole. Classic victim blaming

Yes, I was annoyed at Poole for his behavior throughout last night's game and the playoffs as a whole. He's been a jerk. It's not just his poor play which I can live with. You do your best, that's all anyone can ask. The thing with Poole is the pouting and complaining to the coaching staff and team mates about all and sundry. Thats just bad for the team and bad for morale. That's the kind of behavior I've contintued to see throughout and that's why I made the comment I made. Not condoning, not agreeing, just uunderstanding.

Anyway,, I've said my piece, you've said yours. I think we're beating a dead horse.

Might have to listen to Bill Simmons' pod just for the meltdown I'm sure he'll be having after Game 5.

Holy shit Murray is so fecking bad, its worst combo right now, shit conditioning combined with him thinking that his place is higher than where actually is, most decisions so far opening door for Suns to come back easier. Oh shit here comes Jeff Green minutes, rip rookies that cant be worse but chance to be better.

On one hand I'd be delighted if the Celtics are out of contention, on the other hand the prospect of a Lakers v Celtics final would be great as well after all these years. Still though, wouldn't mind Embiid/Harden or Jimmy in the Finals either.

Hoping the Lakers can finish it off tonight and get some more rest before the Nuggets-Suns go to a Game 7, that'd be ideal.

To be fair, 2010 doesn't count either. Absolutely gifted to them.
To be fair, every nba title not won by the lakers doesn't count either. So really, we're the only team to ever win

Very surprised by the outcome of Celtics v Sixers, I reckon Sixers got a proper kick from their victory in the previous game. They could have been out already but are now in a very decent position to go through. They need to close it at home in the next game though IMO as if they go back to Boston they won’t win there third time.

If it isn't the Lakers then it better be Jokic. I still can't believe they let Embiid cry his way into an MVP.
I'd have no qualms with Harden finally winning a ring whilst still being a very important contributor to his team. Wouldn't mind CP3 getting one either + Durant would get a ring away from the Warriors, that'd be nice for his legacy.

I still think Jokic should've won MVP though. If you couple that with a ring and Finals MVP this season you suddenly need to include him in the top 15 all-time. Only Wilt, Russell and Bird have won 3 MVPs in a row.

Jokić really seems like a fun and easy going bloke. Someone you'd like to have as a beer pal.

Jokic doing Jokic things. If other 4 starters did their thing, this season would be a wrap. Murray is so inconsistent it is annoying. Amazing first game and then just average. MPJ gives you a quarter every other game and that is about it. Help big honey finish this in 6 so Lakers don't get an advantage as Warriors are garbage.

Also Jokic answer at the presser about his huddle spy intention after which he flopped from KD`s shove seems to honest for PR`s liking.

Edit: Seems huddle wasnt even in a timeout.

It's not going to happen but looking at the playoffs, there has to be a trade market for Gobert and Towns.

Too expensive I think. There probably is a market but i'm not sure the Wolves are desperate enough for it?

Has he even been an assistant before? Or coached anywhere full stop?

I think that he coaches his kid. And you better watch your mouth, think about our boy in Montréal. :D

Valencia did the same thing with Gary Neville. It's strange how executives running clubs at the highest level can get convinced unqualified people are worthy of jobs just from media analysis.

Fair point actually, but a quick counter point would be that we’re basement dwellers in the middle of a huge rebuild. Are the Raptors going to blow it up?

They are already blown up.

7/12 3s in the first quarter for the GSW. Still only 4 points down as AD started great and other than the 3s GSW didn't play well and had some unneccesary turnovers. Still, if they can keep up their brilliant shooting from downtown they will take this game.

ESPN paying Raptors to hire JJ, for them to keep being shit, they cant have someone calling out bs from SAS, KP etc.

Raps already fired a good coach. Think Nurse will be snapped up pretty quickly. Reckon he'd be a good fit for the Bucks.

Good win. Still alive. Also glad to see heavy minutes for James.

Another record survives after tonight. Neither Steph, Klay or Draymond has ever been swept or gentleman swept. Now, just need to extend the win at least one game on the road record and then cross fingers for game 7.

Probably won't happen, but like I said earlier, we live to fight another day.

Game 6 will be a close game. Highly doubt the Warriors get blown out.

Whenever they've been eliminated, it's been a super tight game.

The Lakers haven't really had an answer for GP2's insertion into the starting line-up. His +- is sky-high.

It's being reported that Anthony Davis left the stadium in a wheelchair. Gotta hope he's OK.
