NBA 2022-2023

Yea lets go with that, Suns dont have anyone else to blame but them self, Denver was there for taking and they blew it.

MPJ and Murray piss poor shooting and still no separation

Free throw disparity was at 21 to 5.

Freethrows were the only thing keeping it close till CP3 got injured and Ayton and KD got into foul trouble.

Usually FTs are low when you dont drive to basket most of the time but play on jump shots, DA not being given chance to go at Jokic most of the time, only time CP3 talk to him is when he calls for a screen. Only 10 shots vs monster rim protector Jokic, yea sure but he is first on the list to be blamed for everything.

Also Jokic he saw whats coming from Suns plus bad shooting by others and had to remove tape from his wrist, he is risking it, down the road they will see did he make that injury worse by doing it.

If Paul is done for the series i think this series is done

If the Celtics fail to Embiid-less Sixers, I think Sarni will have one more team looking to trade with them Blazers. I think Jaylen Brown will be on the market.

They won't but if Embiid can miraculously recover for Game 3, I think Sixers could get it.

It was always the worry that they'd forfeited all their depth to get KD but this is pathetic....
Did they though? They traded two players in that deal and got two players back in that deal. It's a bit of a myth, their regular season depth was always reliant on scrub players performing above expectations (Landale, Biyombo, Shamet, previously Payne).

Yeah it's not a depth issue, it's a fit issue. They lost premiere defenders and players that can reliably get you points azs the 4th or 5th option. Also I remember listening to NBA analysts a few years ago, in the playoff the better teams tend to shorten their rotation to 7 or maximum 8 players with the top 6 doing some heavy lifting. Depth is only relevant in the regular season or if you face a team that is peculiarly deep like the Nuggets.

Edit: They also probably just need more minutes together, their starting 5 isn't used to play as a unit.

Guy looks like he ate another fat guy and he's making fun of a professional athlete. And a great one, mind you.

MPJ and Murray need to play a lot better than that, a lot. That was pathetic performance.

Huh? They traded Bridges, Johnson and Jae Crowder plus 4 future first round picks and got back Durant and Warren. So they did arguably give up defense, depth and their future for Durant. Whether the trade works out for them remains to be seen of course.

Crowder was not playing for them and would not play again. Immediately after that trade they also got Ross from buyout market, so technically it was 3 out, 3 in.

I'm not judging the trade itself, I'm just pointing out that they did not really sacrifice any real depth in that trade as they got 2 players capable of giving them minutes in exchange for 2 players. Having Johnson and Bridges around would not really do anything for their depth as they'd both start and their bench would still not contribute.

I’m definitely more convinced by the Nuggets after those first two games against Suns. They look the best of all teams remaining.

I love the fact that after many years and two MVP titles, Jokic's ridiculousness is finally recognized by mainstream sports media, they have slandered the man for too long.

This disrespect is kinda mad.

Holy hell that looks bad for Friedell  and rightfully so.

Imagine someone who've never laced up their boots at any level laughing his butt off at a hall of famer. Even if it's true that Harden will not likely take the 76ers through a series without Embiid, you couldn't count him out of having it in him to win a few games.

If the Dubs can't win it all (and they probably can't, although I didn't think they could last year, so what do I know) the Nuggets are the team I'd like to see go all the way.

‘Under any circumstances’

Ouch. They’re not very happy with him then

Yeah you’d be forgiven for thinking he was talking about some random journeyman role player there and not James fecking Harden.

No wonder. He is not even that good and causes significant distraction with his pesky behavior.

Someone will give him a decent contract though. Probably Blazers as he could just about be the veteran to allow Dame to win the chip. $20m a year.

It’s just a bit funny that Memphis were leaning heavily into that stuff he was doing before and it was kinda part of the Grizzlies’ whole “we’re coming for everyone” act and now feels like they’re scapegoating him once they realised they’re not the cute little underdog team anymore and people have started to dislike them.

Nah, never gonna happen, Steven A still calling him fat, even he is not really, Keyshawn today calling boring even if he would score 100, calling his passing slow ( Oo ), Max seems having trouble even recognize his existence, Colin H. saying that his basketball is flat, Skip is doing his schtick.

They clearly are not watching Denver or any mid/small markets.

Personally think they cant win with Malone but think they model them self on GSW, recruit well for the core, develop it, fill up rest from outside, they have unselfish star just like GSW, trying to play specific type of basketball etc.

Honestly I take the small shift and run with it. The fact that they even describe him as a dominant player on the court is enough before that they were pretending that he didn't exist or that it wasn't his playmaking that made everyone else good around him.

Also I missed Keyshawn and Max segments but I hope that you are making these quotes uip.

I don't remember seeing that many "anonymous" executive rumors about Towns. If one was to believe it, the Knicks, Blazers and Nets are interested.

The Knicks and Nets could be a nice fit but I don't see the Blazers do they have enough hard nosed players to take over when KAT is pouting?

Yeah he's sensational. He unfairly got some criticism for not winning the past two years, but the Nuggets weren't a contending team. Murray wasn't good today, but it bodes well that the Nuggets can win games like this even when they're struggling with their shooting.

Feck sake enough with the injuries already.

I thought he was going to have a fat attack while laughing...

They just don't give HoF like Harden any benefit of the doubt. Once a scorer/shooter, always a scorer/shooter. With Philly having more time off due to Boston somehow losing 2 games to Atlanta, Sixers were able to scheme and prep longer, knowing Embiid was out at least Game 1.

And with Tatum and Brown having another up and down, cold, hot 48 minutes...Philly and Harden carved them up.

Jalen Rose was the only one calling his greatness from even before he won MVP. I think he said it in the 2018-19 season that Jokic was a future MVP and Denver would be a great team.

Great, he can finally shut up about not having won it.
