NBA 2022-2023

They breezed past Nuggets without breaking a sweat last year. Granted Nuggets did not have Murray but still the gulf was huge.

Don’t get me wrong, I would love Nuggets to beat them - in fact Nuggets are by far my favorite team left in the West - but Warriors have this ability to just beat anybody. They have not been beaten by anyone in the West playoffs since 2015.
They didn't have Murray or Porter Jr and they've made some other nice additions to the roster while the Warriors are weaker without a couple of guys who were useful for them last year. I totally get what you're saying about their ability to win, they've been there and done it so many times before and proved again tonight that they can produce a performance when they need it, but I don't think they're overwhelming favourites anymore albeit still one of the most likely winners.

Today's game really emphasizes how little the regular season means. The media have been banging on for weeks about the Dubs road record.

When a road win was needed, a road win was what they got. Twice.

They didnt have more than Murray, MPJ out, KCP, BB addition, you made me google it and triggered my ptsd from Jeff Green and Will Barton combo, i mean look at that starting 5. Jokic, Jeff fecking Green, Gordon, Will fecking Barton and Monte Morris, holy shit haha

I am gonna wait for Nuggets to win the championship and then gonna brag all over the internet - YOU SEE! Until then, even I am not so sure they got it.
I think the West is wide open. I wouldn't be surprised to see any of the 4 remaining teams in the final.

Nobody at this point will disagree with that. That's why regular season has turned out to be total joke where best players are resting and on occasions teams do not even try. Huge problem for the NBA. NBA fans are also mostly joke. It's not like a team needs to go to Turkey, Greece or Serbia and face crazy hostile fans. Playing in away arena for Curry and Lebron is not that big of a deal. NBA is where fans cheer for players not teams.

Warriors will send the Lakers home in a gentleman’s sweep.

Maybe road record might catch up to them but Kings lost whole thing in game 3 loss when Green didnt play. Also i agree, regular season means less and less and things wont improve while NBA as a product is in current state, media doesnt help out, every talking point is about certain player, less of a talk about real basketball and a team.

I think they should give the teams a break before the POs so that some of the best could recover. There have already been too many injuries

Wildes and Brou cant wait to see Nick Wright in studio tomorrow.
I like Nick Wright. Him, Broussard and Wildes at times are comedy gold. Unlike some, he is generally not a troll and really believes in his "takes." He also generally gives credit where credit is due when he's wrong. But you're right, Broussard and Wildes will crucify him tomorrow and it will be funny as hell.

3. He won the last 2 of those. Got blown out in the first. Also, I was kidding (hence the emoji).
I'd forgotten the 2nd one. I remember him losing to the Pistons and beating the Pacers. Still the GOAT though.

I think if this is the last playoff series this Dubs core wins together then it was a really memorable one. One thing has become clear though that their attempt to win & simultaneously plan the future has not worked at all. After last year there was big hopes from the younger players but Poole has regressed, Wiseman obviously was traded, Moody has been ok at best and Kuminga can’t get on the floor in a large number of games. I don’t know how much can Kerr be blamed for this but to have 3 lottery picks & not have even one player capable of giving 20 minutes in a playoff game is disappointing

Lakers will need AD to be great and role players like Russell to show up (he won't). Prediction: Warriors in 5.

Believe this will be a lot tougher than most people seem to think. I don't think LeBron will go gently into that good night.

Brilliant by Curry
The most ever points in a game 7, by a man who unfairly gets criticised by certain pundits for not "doing it when it counts", which is nonsense considering we are talking about a 4 time NBA champion and multiple time MVP.

The finals MVP last year when he carried them against Boston goes a long way to helping hslis legacy, and games like tonight's will never be forgotten. He completely took over, against the 3rd seed, on the road.

The next matchup against the Lakers will be more difficult. They're much more balanced and have multiple threats. But it'll be interesting.

Pft. Y'all still haven't got the memo i see. This is the Reaves-D-Lo-Rui show! We're unstoppable!!!!

Dubs in 5

It's a great show. Kevin Wildes especially is hilarious, and Nick is very entertaining with his outlandish takes. He needs to calm down on the Lebron love though.

There was a crazy floater in the 4th, extremely high difficulty but he made it look piss easy and in the 3rd quarter a circus shot while falling (no luck, 100% skill).
If every superstar is on top of their game in any particular time, Curry is the one who's the most enjoyable to watch for me as a neutral.

Personally think NIck Wright is bit of disrespectful prick, not only with certain takes but towards his co-hosts, the way how he interrupts others a cross him when he has a horse in the race, when its neutral situation he turns back into more chill funnier mode. Also, might be a bit biased because he is Jokic hater, his outlandish take how Jokic is worst MVP in last 50 years or what ever number is, how because of him, MVP has no value no more etc.

But those 3 as a team make a great show, they work on their bits, chemistry is good, people love to hear when staff in background having in a laugh, good watch overall compared with some other drivel, specially on ESPN.

I'm just not sure LeBron is healthy enough. Whatever his foot issue is, it seems to be hampering him. Can't see him chasing around Curry, Klay, etc in that motion offense.

AD needs to dominate for my Lakers to have a shot. And he looked banged up against Memphis.

Said before, Warriors are favourites to win it all until they lose. They're a championship team, they have Steph, they have the experience and know-how, and none of their opponents apart from the Lakers do, and the latter rely on 38 year old LeBron and notoriously phyisically unreliable AD....plus let's face it, the playets around those 2 are just worse than the ones around Steph

I agree with everything you said. But Nick is such a great villain. He comes across as such an arse, and when he gets it wrong the others just pile on and make his life miserable. But I really do think that everything he says he truly believes and that actually makes the show better. So maybe to say I "like" Nick Wright is perhaps not quite accurate but I do like his show and the role that he plays on it.

It's weird how US sports shows are viewed as more like entertainment than actual sports analysis. Journalists become celebrities and need to have their own personalities that they over exaggerate as they become more famous.

We're seeing that happen not in UK sports shows now as well with buffoons like Micah coming in and laughing like a lunatic while adding zero tactical insight. Typical that the football show based on the US channel, CBS, is unbearable with Micah and Jamie shouting and laughing like morons. Even with Roy Keane it's like he's been told by Sky to be as grumpy as he can even if his opinions make no sense.

The guys at Inside The NBA have a perfect blend of entertainment with their sections like 'Stat of the night' and 'Shaqtin a Fool' for entertainment but also they provide actual serious discussion without having to be loud and controversial. It's a shame those guys are only one twice a week during the regular season and some more days during playoffs.

But as Chuck says "they ain't gonna work me like a dog and not pay me".

I hope you’re right but do not see this happening. I think this is going to be a tough series and we will really need better minutes from Poole-and more output offensively from Klay too although he was really dialled in defensively last night (and hit a very loud 3+1 at the end of the third).

It will be interesting to see what Loongod’s rebound numbers are in this one now he won’t be sagging off Sabonis

I am fascinated to see who the lakers put on Curry. My bet is on Vanderbilt, and maybe a little Reeves as well? If it's Russell (which it won't be.....hopefully) Curry will average 40. Shold be a good series. My heart says Lakers in 6, but my brain says Warriors in 6.

Schroeder, unless he's unplayable on offence

They let him off easier than I expected. I think deep down Broussard is worried about the Lakers beating the Dubs and then Nick Wright giving him and Wildes hell.

If the Dubs knock out LeBron then I think we'll really see Nick taking a beating.

There is some amount of overrating of the Warriors here. Outside of Wiggins and Looney who are good but not great players, Steph is surrounded by a lot of inconsistent players. Draymond and Klay have as many stinkers as good games, and the bench is Poole, DDV and Kuminga.

Steph has been carrying this team hard.

Again no idea how Celtics are favs to win the championship. When the games get close their offence falls apart

If the Celtics fail to Embiid-less Sixers, I think Sarni will have one more team looking to trade with them Blazers. I think Jaylen Brown will be on the market.
