NBA 2021-2022

What a freaking win. Down by 16 with less then 8 minutes to go.

What a freaking win.

Woohoo!!!!!!

The situation in Brooklyn is just utterly bizarre. KD scores 55 points on 28 shots and yet somehow Kyrie ends up taking 32 shots including majority of the shots in the last 2 minutes. There is no clarity on the Simmons situation as well. Feel a bit bad for KD now

20-2 without him. Ja for LVP? :D

Wash out your mouth with soap

KD is at peace with his situation. He just wants to play basketball and shit post on Twitter.

Lakers are basically done. Not even play-in for them. Grizzlies will get a high pick.

Would actually enjoy this Lakers season if they didn’t give me United flashbacks. Badly constructed, overpaid and couldn't care less.

This draft class is going to be special. Aside from Suggs all of the top 6 have shown huge promise already: Cade and Green in the second half of year, Mobley, Barnes and Giddey throughout the entire season. They are also so unique in a way, very hard to have any comparison for Barnes and Giddey for example. Then you also have players picked slightly later like Wagner, Duarte, Sengun and even Mitchell recently who have shown plenty of potential.

Special draft class indeed. Feels like every rookie fell to the right team for their development. Great to see.

Another good win to stay in the 3rd seed. Hopefully on Thursday can finally knock the Lakers out of the playoffs leaving the Spurs and Pels with nothing left to play for in the Dubs last two games and just let them get ready for the play in.

Actually I just realized Lakers have the 8th worst record in the league and the pick is top 10 protected so it will remain with New Orleans if they don’t make the play-in…

I know it's the same for everyone, but the NBA schedule makes no sense at all. After a back to back this weekend, the Dubs now have FOUR days off followed by 3 games in four nights. Madness!

Nets with real danger of turning up 9th or 10th and having to win two games instead of one which given where they are may not be that easy. Luckily for them Cavs are struggling badly with injuries so will probably lose out on playoffs altogether, but they'd still need to overcome Hornets or even Hawks before playing them.

There are plenty of teams close to each other in the East in their play-in picture, not the case in West where you have Timberwolves way closer to Jazz in 6th than Clippers in 8th, and two teams with significantly losing record in 9th and 10th. Hope Pelicans don't make the playoffs as then the pick that they owe to Blazers will actually turn into a 2025 Bucks pick (awful prospect).

Think that postponed game between GSW and Denver made both Denver and GSW have some weird shedule, in middle of season think Denver due that and postponed game vs Nets, had like 4 games in 5 days or something crazy like that.

It did upset the schedule (Dubs ended up playing the make up game with half a team so Nuggets did ok out of that one ;)). As to this latest end of season stuff, nothing to do with any make up games, just crap scheduling.

Amazing how quickly I went from doom and gloom to looking at the schedule thinking “hey, we could put a little run together going into the playoffs”

In an ideal world, if the Suns beat the Lakers (probable IF they try), the Pels beat the Blazers and the Kings (likely since neither has anything to play for) and the Spurs lose both of their games against the Nuggets and Wolves (also likely, since Denver is still trying to improve its seeding, and the Wolves are still trying to avoid the play in), then the Lakers are done if they lose to the Dubs. In addition, Pels would have 36 wins, and Spurs 33 wins so both are in the play in but Spurs can't catch Pels for home court so neither has anything to play for in their games against the Dubs and will both be resting for the play in.

That's how I see it anyway. ;)

EDIT: In an ideal, ideal world (:)), if the Spurs can snag one of their two games against either the Wolves or Nuggets then Lakers would already be out before facing Dubs. In addition, since the Pels game against the Grizz (who have nothing to play for) finishes before Spurs and Warriors tip off (both on NBA TV) with a Pelicans victory then they are guaranteed 9th and Spurs 10th and once again neither team has anything to play for against the Dubs.

Less likely, but I like that scenario even better.

:D I like it. Ending the Lakers season would be sweet

If I was certain we would beat them that's what I'd prefer too, but the chicken in me would rather have the Lakers already out.
I hear you. I wouldn’t really want to deal with the refs in a “save Lebron’s season” game. But they are a bad bad team so who knows

He still has Brodie on this team. I wouldn't worry too much.

This season, as an overall spectacle has gone to shit with the cowardly 180 on officiating. First month was the best regular season basketball I have seen in years, defenses were empowered, there was a physical edge back in the game, points had to be earned. The other side of that was some of the fake stars seeing a drastic drop in their oh so precious numbers, and unfortunately that in a league which markets individuals over teams made the NBA panic and we are now back to regularly seeing 50/60/70 free throws in a game and the artificially inflated numbers to market the league with teams afraid to defend.

Probably lost too many advertising opportunities with far fewer trips to a line a game. The regular season is WWE, lets create some money making narratives until the real stuff starts.

Youtube suggested me a conversation where Perkins proposes a trade.

KAT and D-Lo for AD and Westbrook.

I'm sure LeBron, I mean Rob Pelinka, would want Anthony Edwards as well before he'd give up such valuable assets.

March madness is so so good, knockout basketball is one of the best things in sport . To me it’s crazy that NBA can’t go on with an in season tournament and keep playing this boring 82 game regular season

Perk put himself out of any possibility a team would offer him a GM role, as low as the probability already was.

So, who asks out at the end of the season: Rudy Gobert or Donovan Mitchell?

I wonder if the Jazz issue isn't Snyder. After a bit more of a year following Chris Finch, I'm pretty sure that he would do a far better job with the Jazz's roster, they have scorers, defenders, length, mobility and a rim protecter. Their roster is probably the closest thing to what the Suns have in terms of talent and balance.

Mitchell, after it becomes clear the organization is more keen on keeping Gobert
