NBA 2021-2022

Another loss. Fourteen point lead in the 4th quarter against one of the worst teams in the league and they blow it. The Dubs are just a bad team without Curry. That makes it 18-59 over the last 3 years when he doesn't play.

I just don't understand how the drop off is so great with Curry out, there's still plenty of offensive and defensive talent there, certainly enough to beat the likes of the Magic. Curry must just attract that much attention to the point where no one else apart from maybe Poole can consistently manufacture their own shot if Curry is absent.

The drop off is huge. They're actually 83-31 (60 win season over 82 games) over that same 3 year period when he does play.

The Warriors losing puts Orlando just 0.5 games back of OKC in the tank race. So, thank you.

One of the criticisms I have of Steve Kerr is his inability to have a respectable team without Curry. For years they have been just awful offensively without him. A drop-off is expected of course, but to be as bad as they are is not good.

Because the sheer gravity that Steph attracts when he's playing means you'll have at least 2 players open whenever they try to run a play for a mismatch.

A lot of people just don't get this. Steph is not the best player in the league as an individual, but he's probably the best player in the league for making his team mates better.

Didn't expect that. Good strength in numbers game again. I think Klay is a first ballot HOFer but he's definitely affected the balance of this team since his comeback, especially Andrew Wiggins. I don't think it's any coincidence that Wiggs had one of his better games in a while since Klay wasn't playing. In addition, the experiment with Jordan Poole coming off the bench needs to be ditched while Steph is out. He's probably the Dubs most reliable scorer in Curry's absence. Another good game tonight from him.

And you made Butler fight his teammates and coach!
Isn't that kind of expected though? As much as I like Jimmy for his never say die attitude and competitive spirit he could start an argument in an empty room.

That was funny. Jimmy is a rough dude I’ll give him that, but old man Haslem so confidently saying “I’ll beat your ass!” started convincing me he really would

He is and Luka says hi

Will be interesting to see how far they make it.

True to March Madness, a bunch of upsets already. Big 10 not doing too well :annoyed:
They won again. A school of 2000 kids vs schools of over 40,000. First team that’s a 15th seed to make it to the quarters in the history of the tournament

Klay was great tonight but Andrew Wiggins just can't seem to sync with him. In the last game where Thompson didn't play Wiggins put up good numbers. Tonight he seemed almost disinterested. Also giving up 69 points in a half is a recipe for disaster. Defense was a little better in the second half (still not great) but the offense went to sleep in the 3rd quarter and even though they made a run in the 4th they just left themselves too much to do. Steph coming back will definitely help but on the evidence of the last couple of months I think winning a Championship is "pie in the sky" for the Dubs this year.

Hope I'm wrong!

Draymond has come back unfit as well, which doesn’t help.
Draymond was actually worse than Wiggins but since he is out of shape and out of practice and essentially playing himself back into shape I cut him some slack. If truth be told though he was poor on both offense and defense and probably the Dubs worst player.

It's a thought, but I think he's dead.
He is. Still…Just prop him up against the backboard. It will distract people.

In all seriousness RIP I should be more respectful of a good guy and, for whatever reason, my dad’s favourite player (maybe like a cult favourite)

I reckon their run ends this afternoon but it's been a memorable one.

Reminds me of FGCU (Dunk City) in 2013, they were a fun team to watch, even if they only made it to the sweet 16

Celtics continue to establish themselves as the best team in the league pretty comfortably - the Timberwolves had been on fire of late before today. Personally thrilled that I managed to snag a Celtics / Mavs finals at +19800 and Celtics / Nuggets at +15500 a month ago.

Bunch of choking scrubs. I did not need this next week in my life.:mad:

So inefficient from 3 especially Poole. The crowd actually started a “let’s go warriors” chant when we cut it to 6. I’m not sure if it’s more embarrassing to have your home crowd cheering against you like that, or to lose to a team whose home crowd cheers against them. Probably the latter

Another loss. I'm sick of tired of making excuses. This currently as I've said before is a bad team.

Any Philly fans here? Was Harden always this bad this season? He looks extremely lazy and uninterested tonight.
Him going missing in the bigger games has always been an issue with him.

There have been games where he's looked good though but not sure it matters if the lazy version turns up for the playoffs. Was always wary of this trade, esp with the added players that strengthened Nets but hopefully Harden proves us skeptics wrong

Was checking some next games during this 4-5 days period and think all LA Lakers games are on national TV, which is funny when you know why they are televised vs why non LA Lakers fans love that they are.
