NBA 2018-2019

Yeah, same. Although I'd certainly root for the Raptors to take it to game 6 or 7, as last night and even the 1st game was pretty entertaining.

Hadn't looked his stats for the 76'ers game, but last night - 1 in 11 for 2 and 1 in 8 for 3 was diabolical. Bucks were just letting him off take free shots at one time.

When Lowry was out I thought Bucks would run away with it and if it wasn't for Giannis being out they probably would.

He was 0-3 from 2, 1-11 FG total. Still mad terrible. He's not a playoffs level talent, there was a reason he did not get drafted (yes I know we've had plenty of 2nd round picks doing well in the playoffs but still it's valid for him).

The Magic-Pelinka drama is more entertaining than the West Finals. The east looks like it's going to be a battle and go 7 though.

Portland stopped being aggressive and moving the ball. Only reason I can think is they are out of gas.

Genuine question. Is there a better defender against the ball handler than Klay?

We are the masters of losing leads against them  Decent effort but getting swept leaves a bad taste.

I love KD and easily the second best player in the world behind LBJ but....is it just me or have the warriors been playing like the 73 win warriors again ever since KD got injured? Because if they are playing like the 73 win warriors the NBA finals is a wrap.

Tough luck @Sarni . Based on the series as a whole there's no way it should have been a sweep. CJ and Dame stepped up tonight and Meyers Leonard was a star.

You have to say yes. Evidence being both Green and Curry with triple doubles.

They’ve stepped it up but still needed three unlikely comebacks to beat Portland team that really wasn’t very good in the series. I don’t think these performances would have been enough to beat Bucks, they need KD back for the Finals.

I think so too KD is just another animal in the finals where curry tends to fall short. Even If KD does come back they need to keep the ball in Curry hands because that man is cookin.

Cant Believe they did not win the chip that year That ball movement was incredible.

I have been saying this all year about the Warriors and KD. At the moment they are actually playing better basketball without him than with him, however that doesn't mean they are a better team when he is out. The first year he was there KD got hurt in the February and was out a while and when he came back the Dubs had to re-incorporate him back into the team. At that point they were playing their free flowing basketball of which he then became a part. IMLTHO they have never been better and they blew through the playoffs going 16-1. However, from that point on the team has become more and more about KD and incorporating more and more iso sets into the game plan and they have got steadily worse. If KD comes back and can fit back into the team the way it was in playoffs in the 16=17 season I think it will be awfully difficult for whoever comes out of the east.

I completely agree and I mean the luxury of having the second best player in the game in your team is if the chemistry is there and KD gets hot....There is no one who can guard him. He can drop 40 without breaking a sweat.

@charlton66 I look forward to your response to this.
To be honest Steph not performing in the finals is just not true and I've beaten it to death. The short version is that he should have won the FMVP in 2015. In addition, I actually read recently that his stats in each of his winning finals appearances are better than 75% of the FMVP winners.

What a horrendous loss for the blazers . Slightly embarrassing to be swept by a Warriors team minus KD and without Iggy for some part . Warriors on the other hand have done so so well . Nice rest before the final and time for KD to recover

Harsh on Portland to get swept, blowing double digit leads in three out of the four games, but that's the difference between a championship team and a playoff team. GS has the experience and nous to stay in games and not panic no matter the situation. Dame slowed down considerably after the amazing series vs OKC which was a shame, never looked comfortable or in rhythm vs Denver and GS.

GS did well to sweep Portland so they can get rest (5 consecutive finals appearances will take its toll), especially since the East finals could drag on for a while if Toronto wins game 4. GS are still my favorites to win the championship, but KD returning will make me feel a lot more confident about that. Love the way GS have been playing with Curry at the helm, but Portland weren't the most formidable test in seeing how stretched they'd be without KD and co. You always felt GS had an extra gear and were playing down to their opponents. Even though Portland played well in stretches, creating some nice leads, this Blazer team was never championship caliber.

Not seeing much bullshit from one guy about how Steph doesn't perform in the playoffs. Warriors 31-1 in last 32 without KD while 28-18 without Steph but with KD playing. That's a brutal stat for KD

Very harsh on the Blazers. They deserved at least one. Good effort by them tonight, the closest they got to winning a game against the Warriors these series.

Leave KD out! Seriously, they look great without him.

Just go somewhere else, so they can kick you out again.

Fun - yes, but still much better team with KD in it.

KD loves to win and going to the Knicks IMO would be mental decision, they are in right mess.

4 peat on the cards will be something unprecedented and only achieved by the Celtics historically. That would boost his legacy and next year he would probably have more options to go to a team that would give him option to challenge right away.
