NBA 2018-2019

Ridiculous from the Warriors. Damn. Not even funny anymore, league is effed.

Even as a Dubs fan this is not good for the NBA. People probably won't believe me but I would love to go back to 2016, Curry didn't get hurt, Dubs win it all and KD never comes to the Warriors.

Lakers should forget about trading for Kawhi now. What's the point? Just sign him in free agency next season and keep your assets.

Is there even a point of watching this year? Honestly. I say this as a fan of a team that has actual aspirations for the title.

Nope. I mean realistically there was no point in watching pre-Boogie. I guess Houston had like a 15% chance of beating them. But it's over now.

If I see another national media personality on Twitter play the: 'stop moaning and just appreciate the beautiful basketball' card again I may scream.

 league fecked. Congrats gsw for another ring(if there was even any doubt earlier).

It just gets more and more uncompetitive every year. This will seem over finally in, like, 2021, then they'll go sign AD.

When I was in Oracle Arena, during the warm up I saw him hitting a three too. I swear it.
There is no doubt many of them are able to do various things they would never do during games.
I don't remember which game but I swear I once saw Javale some post-up moves ala Hakeem

If he’s healthy even for the playoffs it’s going to be proper insane. He said that he did not receive any offers from anybody and called Myers himself.

He would say that though.

Stern with the veto. Come on Stern!

I'm kind of curious

They were going to win it anyway. The gap was getting bigger.

The Lakers essentially traded Cousins to GSW for Javale McGee. That's nice.

Guess the FO didn't see the appeal in signing Cousins for half the season. GS makes the most sense for his rehab + free ring.

Oh my Gosh. And apparently he will get only 5.3 millions.
Obviously. Otherwise the Dubs couldn't afford him.

Y'all should just follow the Hawks this season. We're like Golden State, just a very very shitty version.

It is a win win situation for both. Dubs get a superb player for playoffs on the cheap, Boogie gets a ring and the environment to rehab and next season will go to Lakers on a max contract.

You can literally buy a ring these days, just give up some money to play for the Warriors on a low contract and get yourself a max the year after

He said that he didn't get offers. Or more likely, didn't get good offers (be it financially or for decent teams). And Warriors can give him enough time to rehab before he goes again in free market.

To all KD haters, another reason to hate him. If he had gone for max contract with Dubs (apparently he could have got another few millions though not super max) then Dubs wouldn't have been able to get Boogie.

Ffs the all star game now might as well be the East vs Warriors(and Lebron).

Half of the franchises are gonna be on a race to tank now lol.

Really good deal for Cousins. Coming of an injury he wasn't getting any decent offers, now he can recover, win a ring, look really good in the process then get a max deal next summer.

How did the western conference become such a powerhouse? Surely some of the talent got to migrate east next season?

I'm also looking forward to see where Avery Bradley ends up going. I reckon he'll be a good fit in Milwaukee.
And who'll take a punt on IT? Will he get his Brinks truck?

He will get a max next year anyway and will rehab this year while winning the ring. Wise decision by him. Portland apparently tried to jump into that deal but couldn't because they share the same agent with Nurkic (who is now furious about it, congratulation on the idea Olshey you fecking idiot).

Portland got Seth Curry for $2.75million a year. Good deal IMO, pure shooter off the bench.

Pelicans got Randle for 2 years, $18million. Great deal. Stupid Lakers.

He's gone to Clippers, 2 years / $25 million deal. Bradley I mean.

Is it true that there have bee

A very idiotic decisions by them.

Randle wanted to leave. That's been the talk for a few days now.

Lakers are clearly looking at next year to challenge for the championship.

I can't believe Boogie signed for the Warriors, all the moves teams in the West have made these last couple of days are now pointless.

Feel a bit sorry for Houston, got so close to a title last year, gave CP3 a massive deal and then the Warriors actually manage to improve their team which is crazy.

Indeed. There is nothing certain in sports apart from Golden State winning the championship in 2018-19.

I can see this team dismantling after this season. Durant is apparently strongly considering New York after this season, Thompson's contract will be up, Cousins won't stay beyond this year for a mid-level exception. I think they'll be left with their initial big 3 (Curry, Thompson and Green) after 2018-19 and still be great but teams will be able to compete against them.

Golden State is perfect environment for Boogie. He'll be able to recover before January or February and get in form ahead of the playoffs. Nobody will expect him to get 20/10 every night there either, if he can provide some of the post play he had shown before injury they will be delighted anyway and that team will be completely unplayable if he gets back to his best. I hate Warriors but a line up of Curry/Thompson/Durant/Green/Cousins will be amazing.
