NBA 2015-2016

I can't believe Thunder have finally put it all together and seems to have come from nowhere! Since getting blown out by Spurs in game one they have been incredible.

Okc v Raptors the final we all predicted?? :D

It's actually incredible. 5 years ago OKC were the young talented team that was poised to rule the NBA for a decade. Then year after year they couldn't execute, until we all started giving up on their possible empire. Then out of nowhere they're freaking awesome, tearing apart 2 of the best teams we've seen in the past decade, in the same post-season.

OKC beating both the Spurs and Warriors in six games or less before taking on the Cavs in the Finals is quite similar to Atéltico beating Barcelona and Bayern before having to deal with fecking Real. Both are amazing paths to the final, fully deserved if they pull it off.

It'll be one of the greatest runs to the championship in NBA history if they pull it off.

I'm not. They will win Game 5 probably but winning Game 6 will be a massive task.
If they win game 6, I think they will win game 7. Trouble is, I'm not sure they will win game 5. :(

Kevin Love shooting perfectly leading scorers at half time, but with only 2 rebounds. Game looks over too, looks like Cavs will go up 3-2.

Cleveland lead 65-34 at halftime. Derozan and Lowry combine for only 11 points I think, Raptors are struggling with the pace of the game, Cleveland just keep getting steals and defending much better than the last game.

Love misses his first shot. It was an uncontested layup.

Well that wasn't a close game. I still believe Raptors could take it to Game 7 but having lost the three road games so far by circa 100 points combined I don't see how they're going to compete with Cavaliers even if they do take it to 7. They had so many opportunities to go above Cavs in regular season, it's going to come and bite them back.

Love was really really good. Did he even missed any shot?

I think that Cavalieres will finish this tomorrow.

These nba play offs seem a bit unfair as to how they are set up don't they? Best of 7, one of the teams play at home four times over the series. Had Raptors had four home games they would have taken it. Are these things decided based on a coin toss at the start of the series?

Best regular season records.

Well that was painful, though I expected to Cavs to hit back.

Would love us to take it to take 7, but not sure the players have that much left in them.

Toronto have only themselves to blame. They had countless chances to take 1st seed from Cleveland but they kept losing whenever Cleveland lost, and ended up one win short of winning the East.

I think it'll go to Game 7.

Love is 15-0 in playoff games in America

Cavs to close out the Rapors in Canada. That home crowd will give the Raptors a big boost, so it'll probably be close, but Cavs to win.

Steph Curry and the Warriors need to win tonight not just because they have to but to show some pride. They've been straight up punked by the Thunder in the last two games.

I'm not a follower of the NBA these days but will watch highlights, check out the news, etc.

What are your thoughts on the Rockets hiring D'Antoni? I don't see how this man still gets head coaching gigs. The Rockets don't play defense so how do they envision D'Antoni making a difference when he seemingly doesn't care for defense?

Most Thunder fans were pessimistic about this game, expecting a big bounce back from GS. Looks like it's coming to fruition in the 4th.

At least we stayed close for 3 quarters on the road in a rather odd series.

The Rockets gig is a poisoned chalice. Howard never turned into the superman he was supposed to be, and The Beard isn't quite good enough to build a franchise around in this era of 2 superstar fantasy teams.

And DanTony doesn't really change their outlook much...

Hopefully OKC can close it out. Winner of next game will win the series. If Warriors can force a game 7 I don't see them letting it slip at home.

Considering they blew out Warriors in the last two games in Oklahoma City and ran them very close last night, I'd expect them to win comfortably on Saturday. If they lose then momentum will be with Warriors and they'll come back to win the series 4-3 (God forbid).

It's going to be the fairytale Game 7 win for the Warriors, isn't it?

I'd bet on OKC to finish things off at home because they really need to but you can't ever be sure with the Warriors, it's do or die for them and we all saw how much it means to Curry and the rest of them. They won't go down without a fight, and if Curry is on fire there's just nog a lot you can do about it. Will be a very interesting game for sure.

Thunders will win the next game. Durant is unstoppable, best player in the world. Warriors barely managed to win tonight despite that they had the help of the fans.

Not exactly a statement game from the Warriors. I suppose a win is a win and the series is still alive. However, I fear the end is nigh.

When everybody is on top of their game, I believe it's Curry. In this series you could just as easily make the case for Westbrook as well as Durant.

Durant took 31 shots to score 40 points last night and I won't even go into this handling and turnover issues...he is one of the top 3 players in the league...but, he is NOT the best player.

LeBron is still the best player in the league (I think). When Durant is locked in defensively and isn't turning the ball over he is certainly in the conversation though.

I sometimes get the feeling Durant misses the mental toughness of a real champion, might be wrong though. LeBron is still the best player in the league for me, followed by Curry. Difficult to compare since they're very different players, but LeBron would make every team an instant championship contender, which I'm not convinced of from Durant or even Curry.
