Almost identical to game 1 but in reverse. Just like the Dubs couldn't score in the 4th quarter of game 1, OKC couldn't do it in game 6.
Watch the last 6 minutes again and you'll notice the defensive work Iggy does.
Simply incredible.
Durant is 22 from 62 in the last 2 games. Those are disgusting numbers and that's ignoring the turnovers he had at crucial moments.I did, the guy is a beast. Also one of the smartest players in the NBA.
Still, Kevin Durant took way too many shots in both halves.
I don't understand this. The lad has had three different injuries in this postseason alone and been out for multiple weeks at a time and yet is still averaging 26-6-6 on close to 45% shooting mostly against one of the best teams in the NBA in OKC. He's not been at his best for sure but as a comparison Klay is averaging 27-4-3 on close to 46% shooting in the playoffs. Klay is a beast and saved the Dubs arse last night but Curry with a bad ankle, bad knee and a gimpy elbow aint too shabby either.Curry has caught all the flak so far...but he's slowly turning the tide. Thompson was the hero, but Curry with a near triple double also showed up big time.
SBDS back on track!Without Curry the Warriors are a very good team, but when Curry is fully fit and on song they are up there with the all time greats. When he's hitting his threes and/or penetrating to the basket defenses just don't know what to do with him. It usually ends up with some sort of double team which then opens the floor up for everyone else to get uncontested or relatively uncontested shots. The SBDS (line up) has been killing teams all year by overwhelming them with speed, ball movement and a barrage of made shots leading to mistakes/turnovers/teams getting flustered etc.... In this series because Curry is a little off/not fit/whatever/ it's getting killed because when the shots are not falling for him, the spacing is not there for everyone else and with a bunch of short guys on the floor they are getting killed on the boards leading to fast breaks and quick points for OKC which is exactly the opposite of the way it's supposed to work. Curry is not just about threes, he's also probably got the best handles in the game. He's led the league in steals for the last two years and is also a great passer which once again the small line up benefits from when he's double teamed and finds the open man. I love Kevin Durant, I think he's one of the best players in the game but I believe Curry impacts the game more than anybody else in the NBA just by being on the floor.
Weve all done itLove misses his first shot. It was an uncontested layup.
I hope that was Durant's last game in Oklahoma and that thief Clay Bennet and his stadium full of Trump voters never hosts a playoff game again.
I love Adams BTW. Hope he's one of the players Thunder foolishly won't match next year when he's RFA because they've thrown too much money in Westbrook's and Durant's direction and Portland get him after all (he was expected to have been selected instead of CJ in 2013 draft).
Why did Donovan not bring in Kanter when the game was close at the end? They did feck all in defence anyway but having a scorer would have been convenient when Russ and KD were choking bad.
I know how you feel. Games 4 was like that for me. With the Dubs not losing back to back all year and losing game 3 I thought a win in game 4 was an inevitability, instead the Warriors stunk up the place. After going down 3-1 I really thought it was over. Even after winning game 5 I couldn't watch last night. It's a whole lot different winning on the road versus winning in your own building. Instead I would check on the score every so often and just keep my fingers crossed hoping for (but not really expecting) a win. I didn't actually watch the full game until today when I watched the taped version of it. Everybody in the media seems to be proclaiming that this is over. IMHO it really isn't. The Thunder have given the Warriors fits all year. Of all the teams in the NBA the Dubs match up worst with OKC. I didn't know you were a Thunder fan. Good luck tomorrow night and may the best team win.It wouldn't have made a difference. Durant and Westbrook weren't passing the ball no mater who was on the floor with them. I saw a stat yesterday, I don't remember exactly what it said, but basically the last 5-7 possessions all involved either one pass or less for the Thunder. Just amazing how selfish they get. Although in defence of Westbrook he was good for 98% of the game. It doesn't help when everyone has a go at you for not passing the ball to 'the guy' all the time, and then in the biggest game in the team's last 4 years or so you try to do it but that guy just keeps missing. He sort of had to try win it himself.
Don't think I will watch game 7. That loss was a real emotional battering as a Thunder fan. Just felt stunned for a good while afterwards. Durant has really been awful this post-season bar one or two performances. He has to look no further than the mirror if he wants to understand why he didn't get a ring this year. So frustrating how reckless this team still is. It was fun and exciting when they were 22/23 etc, but at 28 they still haven't changed their ways.

Hawks.I echo Eboue's sentiments though it would not surprise me if OKC won Game 7. But I sense this will be another Curry/Thompson show.
Durant should roll out of town regardless of Game 7. Lose Game 7 (or against Cleveland) and it's unlikely they're gonna win a Finals inevitably as some may think. But where would he go?
Miami? He could win in Miami but that too isn't as likely if LBJ remains in Cleveland. The East is certainly the clearer path to a Finals, currently.
LA Lakers? He ain't winning with the Lakers early on unless they flip the 2nd pick for a top tier player and transform into an immediate playoff side. But it's still the West.
Knicks? No chance.
It's over. This will be a blowout win for Warriors tonight, if there's one team that is mentally fragile to a level where they become completely clueless when challenged, it's Thunder. I'd be shocked if this ended with anything but a 10+ point win for Warriors.
Still reckon Cavaliers will win the Finals.

What about Celtics?
Good shout. Plenty of cap room apparently. A bevy of draft picks in the next three drafts (thanks to Nets blunders).
Couple cap room with the 3rd and 16th picks and they could transform into an immediate contender. Plus the aforementioned future picks from Brooklyn, likely in the lottery at that. Feck. Potential dynasty?

--The Celtics have enough cap space to max out two players this summer. They're sitting on a treasure trove of draft picks that include the next three unprotected first-round selections from the Brooklyn Nets. No franchise has more championships or a prouder tradition.--
I think it'll be close too.I'm excited! Reckon it will be a lot closer than some on here think, there's no way KD and Russell will give up that easily. The momentum has shifted but they won't go down without putting up a huge fight, just need to involve their whole squad and abondon the hero ball they've been playing the last two games. They've already shown they can beat the Warriors, in Oakland as well, so everything is staged for an epic game 7.
