NBA 2015-2016

Cavs will sweep. Thunder will probably steal a game. It'll be a repeat of last years final though, with GSW sweeping the finals.

Not a chance Warriors will sweep a final against this Cavs! I'd actually have Cavs as slight favourites in current form.

No way the Cavs will beat the Warriors. Did you really expect them to drop any games against Detroit and Atlanta? They swept two above average teams like they've done several times in the past, but that means nothing in terms of a possible matchup against the Warriors. The Warriors have played a grand total of two games more over two series, which is nothing, and their superstar and MVP is fresh and firing again after two minor injuries. They're much, much better defensively than any of the teams the Cavs had to face, and of course offensively as well.

I can't understand why some would declare the Cavs favorites in the Finals just because of how they got to the Conference Finals. I mean, two sweeps were pretty much expected imo. They might even sweep the Raptors and they still wouldn't be favorites.

The Cavs have barely broken a sweat in the East. The fact they'll only likely play 12 games in total during the eastern play offs will be a huge boost to them going into the finals. I'd put a bet on them personally.

If the Warrios put away OKC in six, they'll have played four games more than the Cavs over more than a month, which is pretty much nothing (and that's assuming that the Cavs won't drop a game in Toronto). Yes, the Warriors have dug deeper against the Blazers than the Cavs ever will in the East but is that necessarily a bad thing? You need to accustome to the intensity and tempo of playoff games, which I'm not sure the Cavs will be by having played against much lesser teams than the Warriors.

If the Warriors win the NBA title, I'll make all posts as a Liverpool fan for a month in the new season.
If the Cavs win the title, you make all post as a United fan for a month in the new season.

Bet?

No thanks, I want to be able to enjoy the Finals without something like that hanging over my head

The Cavs have never proven they're able to handle these Warriors over the last two years, I don't see how it would be any different next time. If anything, the Warriors have improved more than the Cavs since last year's Finals. LeBron's supporting cast might be fit this time but I still can't see it. Eager to find out though ;)

There was alot of drooling over sa spurs before the series started and afer that first game... Annihilated...

Also, Curry rested on 2 matches, and Curry is all that matters.

I don't think Warriors will loose it,on other hand Cavs having a good rest before the final. But everything will wade off once the final starts.
One thing to note about this Cavs team in playoff his their perimeter shooting,137 - 3 pointers had been made by them.
Not sure about Warriors stats in this regard.

Warriors and Cavs to sweep?
If Thunders play like yesterday, it will be difficult for Warriors. Durant is unstoppable at his day, and Westbrook is one of the best in NBA when he decides to not be stupid.

Trouble is, he tends to be stupid when the pressure is on. I was impressed with the Thunder but personally I just think the Spurs got old. I take the Warriors in six against OKC (although I am a trifle biased). As to the Cavs, I'm really not sure how good they are. Playing in the East for Cleveland is like watching a team like Arsenal play in the Championship - they would blow teams away game after game but when they actually played somebody good it's probably a different story. The media also keep mentioning that the Cavs took two games against the Dubs last year even though they had a number of players injured. While this is true, I believe the Warriors are a far, far better team than they were 12 months ago. With my rose colored Warriors spectacles on I see the Dubs winning in six in the finals also.

As much as Westbrook and Durant won this series...a big, big difference was Enes Kanter and Steven Adams. Both really upped their game and when the Thunder decided to push the tempo, someone like Duncan simply couldn't keep up.

Spurs deserve a lot of respect - what an organization...but, that's the end of the Big 3.

 Aldridge moves to San Antonio to win championship and he manages to stay in the playoffs full one day longer than his former team.

Cheering hard for Raptors, my soft spot team from the East, tonight. Come on Dinosaurs! Do it for your great supporters in Jurassic Park.

Credit to Billy Donovan. I did not think a rookie coach would take the Thunder this far into the playoffs. His adjustments were excellent after the big loss in game 1. I was a bit skeptical about pre season rankings placing the Thunder on an elite tier. Definitely proven wrong on that front.

I've been to Jurassic Park twice this year that place is always buzzing. Hoping we get the fourth win tonight.

Dragic with 30 as Heat tie the series up.

What's the deal with Dragic? Like, what does he do? What's his thing?

He's about as one handed as you can get. He almost always goes to his left and shoots with his left hand. Not a bad player, but certainly not going to be the difference between winning and losing for the Heat on most nights.

Don't want to jinx it by posting here but I can't resist. The raptors are having a big game. 3rd quarter was massive and Biyombo has been great so far. We can do this.

Fair play this team looks good. I haven't watched since Anthony Parker, Jamario Moon and Jose Calderon were there. Was a surprise when I was told to check the standings this season.

The only chance the finals will be close IMO is if the Thunder manage to beat the Warriors in seven. Otherwise I think the Cavs will make light-work of Toronto and the Warriors will do the same with the Cavs. Hope I'm wrong.

Kevin Durant's record vs LeBron is quite bad though.

Congrats guys and all Toronto fans! Well fought series.

Good luck in the next round!

Thanks.

Justise Winslow looks like a hell of a player. If you can resign some of the 200000 of your free agents this summer you'll have a pretty tasty looking team next season.

What's going on with Bosh btw?

My predictions:
Cavs def. Raptors 4-0
Warriors def. Thunder 4-1

Thanks.

I don't think they will resign Whiteside. He'll get a better contract elsewhere.

The problem with Miami will remain the same problem as this year. Injuries. Riley has no problem re-building a nice team, but it's the injuries that's ruining the Heat season a second year in a row now. Let's see how things go next year.

I do believe that if Miami had a healthy Bosh and Whiteside they would have given Cleveland a run for their money in the ECF (they'd still lose, but it won't be a sweep).

I don't think Miami will have any problem re-signing any of their players. They're all happy in Miami and would want to come back. The money won't be a problem as well (this off-season Wade will be ready to show more flexibility). However it will be down to one thing, will Miami have the chance to add another star/superstar? Till last week I thought it was very plausible that Durant might end up with Miami next season, but OKC getting past SA changes things for me and I think OKC are the favorites now to have him next year. If they can add another star to the roster then they might need to pick whom to re-sign, even though Bosh's situation might offer Miami some flexibility cash-wise.

Speaking about Bosh, he had another clot this year, but they found out about it before it was dislodged, so it wasn't dangerous for his life this time (last year they didn't find out about it until it was dislodged and blocked a blood vessel in his lungs).

Seeing that it happened twice now, there is a good chance Bosh might have to retire, as he seems to have a clotting problem that can't be treated in any way other than life-long blood thinners. However they have decided to give him another chance, and they stopped the blood thinners again. That caused a little problem as Bosh wanted to play right away, while Miami wanted to wait longer, due to both health considerations and financial motives. First they want to make sure Bosh's problem is gone, last time they also thought it was gone but he had blood clots again months after he started playing, they want to wait at least months now before letting him play. On the other hand, if I understood correctly, if they wait and don't play him until December this year, they could get some sort of insurance/waiver for his salary, that would enable them to chalk his salary off the luxury tax list. It's still not clear what would happen but I don't think Bosh would play again before next year. After that he could be back, but there are no guarantees he won't have the same problem again, which would certainly mean the end of his career this time.
I don't think they will resign Whiteside. He'll get a better contract elsewhere.
If Miami wants to re-sign Whiteside they won't have a problem re-signing him. Miami is by far Whiteside's number 1 choice, even if it meant he sacrifices some money. I expect him to stay with Miami next year.
