NBA 2015-2016

How come?
I haven't watched it regularly. I started watching when the Sacramento had the rivalry with LA, and decided to support Sacramento cause they were the underdogs. Then Sacramento became shit, while in addition, the TV that year didn't show matches in my country. Then the next year, I liked mostly Houston because of T-Mac, but didn't watch them regularly. Later it was LA because of Gasol.

When you don't watch a league regularly it is hard to have a team that you support. And it is hard to stay until 5am 3 times per week to watch teams, let alone teams that are a bit shit (like Sacramento).

So now in NBA, I watch with the same mindset as European Leagues bar EPL. I don't support any team in Spain, Italy or Germany, but I like to watch Atletico, Roma and BVB when I have time. Same about NBA. Watching Curry for example is a joy.

Yes, this is a real pain in the ass if you support a west coast team. When I was still in highschool I used to get up at 6am and watch the second half of every Lakers game but that's pretty much impossible now. Nowadays it's mostly away games at the east coast because they start at 1am which is quite reasonable. Have to admit, Kobe's retirement tour was the only thing that kept me going this season, I hope we retain our first round draft pick next month and the basketball on play will finally improve next season.

That Sacremento rivalry was epic though, any excuse is good enough to watch this again:

Anyone know the best way to watch NBA in the UK?

Used to follow Raptors when I lived in Canada and my old housemate over there messaged me saying I should catch up as its been a while.

Best way is to set up an account at online bookmaker, be it bet365 or anyone else as pretty much all of them have it, and watch it in their online streams. It works great here, should work in the UK. I find Betano the best because they allow full screen in their mobile site as opposed to just a small window everyone else does.

You can watch every single game this way. You only need to have money in your account but for instance at Betano I'm keeping €0.10 on my account and they still allow me to watch.

I do that with Portland! Unless it's a playoff game on the weekend in which case I'll wake up at any point and watch the whole game, I usually wake up at 6 AM before work (an hour earlier than usual) and catch the second half. It's actually better than supporting an East Coast team because then you have to stay up until 3 AM to see it all.

I'll try that out, that could be genius.

BT Sport show NBA games, otherwise there's plenty of rivers to take a dip in.

And you should absolutely get back in it, the Raptors are the best they've ever been atm, on the brink of making the Eastern Conference finals :D

Shame about well rested Cleveland in the final. I'll be cheering Raptors very hard but I give them maybe 10% chance of winning more than a game and 1% to win the whole series.

Yeah I don't fancy our chances either. That's assuming we even get past the Heat, we've become almost Arsenal like in our bottling (even wear the same colours ), so wouldn't be surprised if we blow the current series.

Has a team ever swept their way to an NBA final? Because at this rate, Lebron might as well start filming Space Jam 2 while he's coasting to the final.

2001 Lakers. 3-0, 4-0, 4-0 then 4-1 in the final (think it was against Sixers).

GOAT Iverson. As much of a chucker he could be, loved that game. Lakers were such a team then though.

He was phenomenal in that first game of the Finals. Also, those black 76ers jerseys back then

Cleveland is going to sweep whoever they face - If it's Toronto, there'll be a couple of games where not only do they beat them...but absolutely smash them.

More importantly...is the game today the last time we see Tim Duncan in the NBA? If they lose - he'll retire.

It'll go to game 7 i think. Spurs are too good to go out in 6.

Not if Aldridge continues to choke...he started the series shooting 33/44 from the field, since then, he has been atrocious.

Hard to criticize Kawhi, he had a good game 5, but he needs to assert himself in the 4th quarter. Demand the ball if plays are being called for him. If he remains passive...they're screwed.

Jeez, Spurs missing so many open shots. If OKC get through, Warriors won't be this kind.

Thunders absolutely killing it. Durant is unstoppable and Westbrook is playing brilliantly, completely unselfish.

Leonard isn't on good form on the other side, so a bad night for Spurs.

Spurs seems to be waking up now, aldrige bringing the goods in the post now, OKC have better energy to deal with gsw though, Duncan and Parker are simply not the force they used to be.

OKC led as much as 28, but it's down to 13 with 5 minutes to go. That's plenty of time.

If Spurs pull this comeback off, they'll win game 7.

Ah Duncan! Time to retire, I think.

SA Spurs would have been very into the game if Duncan would have scored now.

Serge has had an average series but that block might have made up for it.

Oklahama were really great tonight though. Durant was at his best, and Westbrook was scoring a lot but without shooting every time he had the ball.

OKC vs GSW would be a great final for the west division, and IMO, whoever wins that tie, will win the title too.

He had a good regular season, and was probably their best player today. No need to go just yet

Wow, we actually did it. I thought the Spurs were clear favorites along with Golden State going in, but maybe OKC has turned a corner in their development.

Warriors v Thunder should be good value for entertainment.

I know, but I don't like much to see all time greats looking like very ordinary players.

Of course, he knows best what he'll do and will decide calmly in the summer.
