NBA 2015-2016

No, more like what the Knicks gave up for Melo, gutting an entire roster plus multiple picks. Not something that's a joke. The Lakers pick if you still had it, Len, Bledsoe, Booker, Warren, and I might be interested. It's not trading him for the sake of trading for whatever pu-pu platter offer comes in.
Major difference in the front office though, ours isn't a joke like the Knicks used to be and McDonough hasn't really came out from a trade losing so far.

And to be honest, none of the Rockets players are even worth trading for apart from Harden, the rest are filled with injury prone players or players who're too streaky to be a regular starter.

No chance the Rockets will ever trade Harden, hopefully they'll resign him as well when his contract is up.
They literally have no one else worth trading for, the only players on that team that's even worth a look at is Harden and McDaniels. Everyone else has either problem staying fit or are just incapable of playing well for more than half a season.

Well have you actually watched Rockets games?

That is simply not true, you don't get almost 2 steals and 1 block a game being a bad defender, I know Harden isn't an elite defender but he is actually a good defender, he may lack effort on 2-3 defensive positions per game and not box out for some rebounds but playing 38+ minutes per game cause that.

He gets steals because he constantly gambles and overplays - you do that enough times, you are bound to pick up a few steals. He is without doubt one of the worst perimeter defenders in the league.

It is seriously not even up for debate.

I could post a zillion articles with statistics, a million youtube compilations along with vines and gifs. His reputation as a lazy defender has been earned over time and is appropriate.

I know next to nothing about basketball but is it usual to have teams having 7 away games in a row ? I realize the USA is a huge country and being on the road for several games cannot be avoided but isn't 7 too much ?

@Neutral Let's agree to disagree then, I think his reputation for being a bad defender was because of the 2013-2014 season and I believe he improved his defense a lot since.
@King Kendrick Harden is easily a top 10 talent in the league right now and he is also still 26, we have to be patient with him as he matures, I do think him dating a Kardashian is a cause for distraction for him and a very poor choice.

Yeah.

Harden - Top 10 player in the league easily.
Bev - I'll take him with Harden since he has proven that he can play together with him, and he's consistent, he's going to give you 3s, hard defense, some rebounds and you'll be lucky to get him to average more than 12 ppg.
Terry - Old as hell.
D-Mon - Big with back problems are a no deal, especially since we'll have to re-sign him if we trade for him.
T-Jones - Inconsistent as hell and always seems to miss at least 20 games every season and same contract issues with D-Mon
Ariza - Streaky shooter too so nah.
Brewer - Streaky shooter and he needs a new contract.
McDaniels - Young and athletic, would fit in our team of young guns.
Capela - Interesting but Len has more potential.
Thornton - We had him last season and he couldn't break into the rotation.
Howard - Same issue as D-Mon, except Howard wants a max and he'll probably get one from whoever he signs with, so no go.
Lawson - Repeatedly caught DUI and clearly can't play with Harden.

And seriously, the real reason Harden slacks off on defense is because he's basically the offense. Their bigs would help a lot on offense but their biggest challenge right now would be to play for an extended period without getting injured.

The best the Suns would offer would probably be Bledsoe, Knight, Markieff and Goodwin for Harden, Bev, McDaniels and the Rockets getting a pick swop within the next 5 years.. Morey and McDonough would probably think they're being ripped off by the other though, so doubt anything happens.

I understand, but I guess I should have clarified my point much earlier. I could stomach trading Harden, as long as its for a kings ransom as I said earlier, which is something I would probably never say about any other superstar like LBJ, KD, AD, Steph etc. were they on the team. It could be that I've watched him so much and understand his flaws and shortcomings, as well as the fact that a lot of his game pisses me off, that I'm willing to consider it, but I digress. If that hypothetical offer I suggested was on the table, I would take it in a heartbeat. However, if we had Steph or KD, I would laugh in your face as I hung up the phone. So I guess that's why I would say I could/should see us trading Harden.

Apart from Dolan and Billy King, has any other front office ever gave so much up for a star player? There's a reason such deals hardly exists because not many front office are dumb enough to make them because the team that gets the star player almost always ends up on the losing end if they have to gut their entire roster for a single player.

Actually Markieff should be easy to get since he isn't even playing, and Thornton has been a big(very good) surprise this season, Ariza isn't as streaky as you think and he is a hell of a defensive player, for me the team should be built with Harden, Dmo, Bev, and Ariza to be successful in the next 1-2 years.

Yeah, we're shopping him around, he wants out. It's an open secret, good luck with whoever gets him, he's talented but a total ass prick, he's still a great trading piece because of his contract which is absolute value for what he can produce when he's finally playing for any team other than us. Archie needs to go too, he's in too deep with the Morri and hasn't gotten a chance to showcase what he can do.

You think the Rockets will re-sign Howard?

It's a player option I think so it's his choice no?

Klay and Steph out scoring Phoenix on their own

Ridiculous. I had the game on the TV, and for the first quarter the score was relatively even. I'm thinking Phoenix are doing well to stay ahead. Then boom, they concede 15 points in 2 minutes. Turned the telly off at that point.

That 3rd quarter was just ridiculous. Those two scored 40 of the Warriors 46 points that quarter or something stupid.

Should be a good game with the Spurs. They're off to their best ever start too.

Lebron just nearly killed a lady sitting court side. Game got delayed and she was sent out on a stretcher.

Edit: She's Jason Day's (World no.2 golfer) wife.

I think it was precautionary but that looked brutal. Apparently she's ok though, hope she's fine. That's the risk you take with courtside seats.

Kobe still dunking away. That's his 1 for the year done.

Warriors needing a big run and a ton of defensive effort to beat the Bucks...looks like the Bucks and their length might be a clue for other teams

Spurs and the Warriors is going to be a great game. Can't wait.

Dammit, Curry's FT% is at 89.9... hopefully he raises it slightly, imagine the insanity of scoring 30+ points in a 50/40/90 season.

Meanwhile KD is shooting 52/44/88 posting 27ppg. Any other season people would give a shit lol

Also Kawhi Leonard is shooting 51/49/88 on 21ppg, whilst also being one of the best defenders in the league. There are a lot of really good basketball players around.

Griffin and KD playing like shit, usually I enjoy Thunder Clippers games a lot more than this.

Underrated player, which is strange considering his finals MVP.

I'm not sure about underrated, I'd just say straight great player. Who doesn't rate Kawhi?

Sloppy game but I will take the win. Crazy last few minutes. KD off night but steps up when it matters.

Yep KD came up big just in time. Not just the clutch jumper, but that final block against Paul. The game CP3 was having, that shot would have gone in.

Yup....he used to be underrated, but he now gets all the props he deserves for being such an elite 2 way player.

What he doesn't have is hype...but that's due to his own personality, the organization he plays for and the team first culture they have.

Nice to see Atlanta go on a little run at the moment. East is so damn close right now, they jumped from 10th to 3rd within 5 games or so.

Durant maybe? Called him a system player when he won his FMVP. Granted, he wasn't as good back then as he is now.
