Apparently they've sorted things out now though. They meet in Boston in 2 weeks which is going to be interesting.

Everyone knows KG is a dick. His plan worked perfectly. Get (arguably) the best offensive player in the league furious and watch him miss every shot down the stretch. It's nothing new and Melo shouldn't have fell for it.

I had no idea he is a dick. But then I've always been a great admirer of his game. To me, he has the perfect NBA body, and absolutely top class tenacity. In his prime he was a defensive terror, and he could guard any position. Add an All-Star offensive game to that and you have one hell of a legendary player.

Hell, getting into a player's head and getting little pushes and pokes in on defense is just part of the game. That's how I roll down at the YMCA.

But how will I know that Stern won't screw me over again? We have a history and it's not very friendly. He's had it out for me ever since I accidentally ran over his dog. By dog I mean son. And by accidentally I mean repeatedly.

Don't get me started on crooked ol' Pappy Stern, I'm still waiting for my Chris Paul Lakers jersey to come in the mail.

He was everything you admired about him and he's a dick. They can coincide. Everyone hates him, but if he's on your team, you love him.

Joakim Noah is the new age KG.

That team...I don't know what's wrong with their offense, besides missing Granger. They should have signed O.J. Mayo!

Indiana has very dangerous shooters.. All they need is get into rythm. When they do, they are almost unstoppable..

They'll take this one.. Miami are allowing too many second chance points, and they aren't even showing any will to win.. Poor again from Miami..

I suppose I may be underrating my own team, they have been on a relatively nice run lately.

D.J. Augustine was the Bobcats best player last season, and we're finally starting to use him a bit more, he can certainly shoot well. And George is a fine offensive weapon. West is a bit inconsistent, nothing really like the player he was at his best.

Hill is a good player, but he's only shooting 42%, and 35% from 3. And Hibbert is down to 40% from the field, from 50% last season. Something is wrong with his body or his mind.

Hated Noah back in his Florida days, now I can tolerate him.

I hated him when he was at Florida as well - he was a huge goon. Now I love him as a player. The fiercest of competitors, does all the hard work and perhaps most importantly has proven to work hard. I hate when NBA players can't make their free throws and Noah has proven that ANYONE can make their freethrows at a respectable clip with hard work. Playing basketball is your job, they're called free throws for a reason.

I don't know how to copy a YouTube link on here with my tablet, but you guys need to check out the video's from - itsreal85 - he dubs real footage of the players/games. For example one of the vids is - UNCENSORED TRASH TALK 4.

Maybe you should wait till Melo does something worth mentioning before pronouncing him to be so great. ;)

He's not great.. He's just better than Garnett.. Much better.

Now.

Garnett's a top 15-20 player of all time.

I like Melo better but come on.

Melo is definitely the better player at the moment, but they're at completely different points during their carreers, this should be put on hold until they retire, if it should eenter discussion since they're not the same kind of player anyway.

And Carmelo is great (and rightfully so in the MVP discussion)....previously he was just a great scorer, but now he's doing it all. Granted the Boston game was his worst of the season, KG really got into his head.
But don't expect a repeat of that, if anything Melo's gonna go off against Boston when they meet again the next time.
Games like these just don't happen very often (in terms of Melo going 6/25), it was obvious the early foul troubles, constant double-teaming and KG messed him up,....won't happen again though.

I haven't really seen this new defensive minded Melo I've heard about, I've seen some of the Knicks but I wasn't really watching for that. But even if he has become defensively tight, half a season of playing defense doesn't score huge for me, nor does starting a season with a good record.

I reserve the right to change my opinion going forward, but it's Garnett's team that has had the most recent success, and came closest to beating the Champions in the playoffs last season.

Melo may score more points, but Garnett's offense is still very good, and he could chuck up 25 shots a game too, if he thought it was good for his team. Honestly I'd rather have Garnett on my team.

That's a tough one, there are some really amazing players in the history of the NBA. The top 10 is nearly impossible to break into.

1. Bill Russell
2. Michael Jordan
3. Wilt Chamberlain
4. Oscar Robertson
5. Magic Johnson
6. Larry Bird
7. Jerry West
8. Kareem Abdul Jabbar
9. Hakeem Olajuwon
10. Julius Erving

And of course some will disgree, and perhaps have Shaquille O'Neal, Patrick Ewing, Moses Malone, David Robinson, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan or someone else. Pete Maravich, Sam Jones, John Havlicek, Kevin McHale, Robert Parish, Karl Malone, Steve Nash and LeBron James are all hanging around the next 10.

But I think you have to find room for Garnett in that 10-20 group, or at least the top 30 if not.

Top 10 is impossible to pick and the order of it too. I think LeBron is a top 10 player by the time he retires. Talent wise he's already one of the best to ever play. And that comes from someone who dislikes him and hates the Heat.

He's an amazing athlete, but for me I'll take a guy like Shaq, who has 4 titles and dominated the game just as much, over LeBron, as it stands now. If LeBron can get up to 3 or 4 titles, then we can talk about the top 10, for me at least.

anyone who thinks they can make a "fair" top 10 of all time list is wrong.
so many people have so many different views, even "experts" dissagree, everyone has a different criteria and at the end of the day it's all down to personal preference.
I could name you my top 10, but it would be MY top 10, not a general top 10 list, because there isn't one, the only thing that's generaly very widely accepted (although clearly not by everyone) is that Jordan is #1, and that's about it.

Oh, and shitballs for Sacramento, even though they were far from being relevant the past 5-6 years I really, really liked that franchise.
Not that I didn't feel bad for Seattle, especialy losing what is essentialy OKC now with Durant and whatnot, but still, these type of franchise relocations always seem unjust and crappy in my opinion, and it's all because of money :)

The Kings are Jveezy's team. He'd undoubtedly know the most about the situation. I know he was a bit worried last year that the team moving was a real possibility.

Bill Russell is a top 5 player of all time. What's funny about that?

No. No he isn't. Off the top of my head, MJ, Bird, Magic, Wilt, Kareem, Hakeem, Hondo, Dr. J, Barkley, Robinson, Kobe are all better. Then among active guys, LeBron is a lock to pass him (I think LeBron will possibly surpass MJ as #1) and I think Chris Paul and Kevin Durant could too.

Bill Russell wasn't nearly the player Wilt Chamberlain was. Not even close.
