Nba 2011-2012

Sacramento,

We don't care about the league anymore. We already got the rings, and we are too old to be motivated again.

Sincerely,

The 2011 NBA Champions

P.S. We would still thank you though because you were happy for us.

After a superb start to the season, Bynum has gone into his shell again. Kobe's my MVP, how he manages to get 30pts on this team is incredible.

Mitch Ketchup, or whatever his fecking name is, needs to get his head out of his arse and make some trades. Everyone can see this is a very average Lakers team and we've not replaced Odom - the bench had a grand total of 12 pts, Mr. Peace had 0. 1-6 on the road this season is unacceptable.

I think Deron Williams will end up with the Mavs.

I'm really surprised to see that 6 of the top 8 teams in the league are in the East! Man, that hasn't been the case in years and years. It probably won't be that skewed by the end, but still a surprise.

Good job by Miami to get into 5th, and amazing that Philly is still rolling along.

Chicago .824
OK City .800
Philly .733
Orlando .733
Miami .714
Indiana .714
Denver .688
Atlanta .688

I honestly can't remember the last time that happened? Maybe Jordan era?

Edit: Then again I just noticed that 7 of the bottom 10 teams are in the East as well. That's everyone in the Eastern Conference not in a playoff spot. Only the top 6 teams are above 0.500. So I'm guessing gooDevil's observation has more to do with the top Eastern teams beating up on the really shitty Eastern teams.

I think it will be Miami vs Oklahoma City in the final, with Miami winning it in the end..

The west is aging. The Lakers, the Mavericks, and the Spurs are too old now, and the Clippers are the just the west version of the Knicks.

Can't believe the Lakers lost at home to the Pacers last night. Seriously Mike Brown is fecking shit up for us. The triangle offense was working so well. We need to incorporate that back into our offense.

I'm still shocked they didn't allow Brian Shaw to succeed Phil. Mike Brown is a vastly overrated coach and only did well in Cleveland because he had the most dynamic player in the game under his coaching.

I think Kobe was suprised as much as anyone when Shaw didn't get the job.

I'm not sure what to make of Brown. From the games I've seen the defense appears to have improved slightly but the offense at times has been useless, particularly 3pt shooting.

The LA bench needs a lot of improvement, we need a PG and I think they need to make a decision on whether they will move for Howard or not. The longer they take solving the team's issues the more frustrated Kobe will get and that will affect his relationship with Brown.

Mavs get their rings wednesday night...but that's last year's team. this year's team?? heywood and mahinmi are completely different players than they were last year. they're making me forget chandler. west is a better all around player than barea is. dirk will be dirk as soon as he gets in shape. the player that i'm worried about is kidd. hasn't played well, not scoring, lots of turnovers. if he can get it turned around the Mavs will be in the mix again. okc will be veeeery tough this year.

But what makes you think Brian Shaw would have done good? Just because he knows the triangle offense, doesn't mean he is gonna be successful. I am not happy with the selection of Mike Brown either but at least he has had previous experience of coaching a top team and taking them to the finals. If they were going to go with someone who knew the triangle offense, I would have preferred Kurt Rambis to be honest. But if you come to think of it, Lakers would not be having so many problems if fecking David Stern had just let Paul come to the Lakers.

I have a feeling Barea is way better offensively and gives you more than Delonte West and defensively he is not that bad. And there is no way Dallas is winning again this year. No offense but I think OKC, Heat and Bulls are better. And when the playoffs starts, Spurs, Blazers and even the Clippers might be hard to beat.

i was speaking about being in the mix in the west. i agree that they will probably not repeat.

Apparently Knicks are considering trading Chandler & Amare for Howard. I think the Magic would accept that trade.

That would be a good trade but both teams won't even be close to winning even their conference with that trade though. The Knicks need to strengthen and with that trade, I am not exactly they sure they are. They need a better coach and then need a good guard and they will be set.

The team that takes Howard should have a star in point guard or shooting guard, e.g. the Lakers, the Clippers, the Nets, (the Heat :D)...etc.

The Knicks needed Paul, not Howard. But I agree, from Orland's prospective, it's a better deal than Bynum, and could be the best deal they could ever get for Howard.

That depends. The Warriors were wiling to give David Lee, Steph Curry and someone else like Dorell Wright I think (I am not sure on that one). Curry is way better than Jameer Nelson but then again it depends of what position the Magic are trying to fill. On hindsight, how big a mistake was trading Gortat to the Suns?

Hmm Deron Williams will likely follow Howard if rumours are to be believed, that's the star PG right there.

What a game for Metta World Peace. He should start from now on. And Gaudelock is 10 times better than Morris.

Big win for LA.

Why is CP3 crying about Pau touching him on the top of his head after the game? Happens all the time, players do it all the time and sounds like it was simply a pat rather than anything malicious. Tit.

Getting closer to normalcy, now it's Denver whose taken Philly's place as the biggest surprise in the rankings. I wonder if Knicks fans wish they could have their players back!

OK City .833 [15-3]
Chicago .800 [16-4]
Denver .722 [13-5]
Miami .722 [13-5]
Indiana .706 [12-5]
Atlanta .684 [13-6]
Philly .667 [12-6]
Orlando .667 [12-6]

In the end, I think it will be Miami, Chicago and OKC. Denver will fall down the ranks pretty quickly..

What's interesting to note though is that only Miami is in the top half of the strength of schedule rankings so far (and they're 14th).

I'd expect both LA teams to work their way back up before the end of the season. Your point about the Knicks still stands though.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but Denver had one of the better records post-trade last year as well, though I'm not a big fan of any of their players.

Pretty funny that the Knicks have had the easiest schedule and are only 7 and 11!

Knicks are 21-25 since the Melo trade, Miami are 8-1 this season when D-Wade doesn't play - maybe having a team of superstars doesn't work as well people thought it would (although I expect Miami to win a few titles with both Wade and James there).

Choking all over the place at the end there, when Chalmers went to the line it was like the NCAA Final all over again. Great D for the last Bulls shot, Rose had Hamilton wide open for a 3 though.

Lakers trying to sign free agent Arenas. I guess something is better than nothing. As long he is not given a huge contract, I wouldn't mind him.

The Spurs' bench are simply rapping the Mavs. So many threes this quarter. A once 17 point lead at the end of the 3rd quarter has turned into a 7 point deficit for the Mavs with 6 minutes left in the 4th.

Wasn't Arenas the one who brought guns to practice?

We need a PG, I don't think I've seen Arenas play before but with Blake still injured we need some reinforcements.

Yes he is the one. Arenas will really help the Lakers. The starting two will be Fish and Bryant and Blake and Arenas can come off the bench. Morris can go to the D-league while Gaudelock can remain as a backup for our backup Blake.

Oh feck, Danny Green you beauty! Hit the game winner with 0.5 seconds left!

Edit: They overruled it. Going overtime.
