Nba 2011-2012

I meant any Wiz game, but yeah. I tried watching Orlando v Kings, but I couldn't take it. I don't know what sport they're playing but I've never seen it before.

feck Howard has only played 7 minutes so far with 4 fouls. He has 0 points and 1 rebound. Terrible game.

Yeah, that's my boy. He's been pretty unfocused so far this year, though he's had two 20-20 games too. I'd say he's definitely unsettled and will be leaving Orlando from his play.

Dude he's averaging 20.2 points and over 15 rebounds so far with 2 assists, 2.5 blocks and 60% FG%.

That's what makes it remarkable imo: he doesn't want to be there but still gets those numbers!

Well, he's down from 23 points last season, and shooting .442 from the line, vs .596 last season. His grand total of 5 points and 4 rebounds tonight will bring it down as well.

Lakers win 6th straight at home. Good job. The surprising stat is that they had 27 turnovers and still won.

Philly is doing amazingly well so far, hard to see it with their line-up, but then they're very athletic. Meeks is still starting but doing almost nothing and Brand still hasn't rediscovered his former All-Star form. Lou Williams and Holiday are doing very well, both very fast point guards who can score and pass, Williams is leading the team in scoring from the bench, very strange, Holiday is 2nd.

Big game from Kobe. It's no suprise he gets numbers like he did yesterday but you wonder how can the defense guard him any better? He's the only perimeter shooter on the Lakers team and still manages to make the impossible shots. Looks like his knees are better than last season which is a good sign.

I'm still in shock over losing Odom and not bringing in anyone of consequence.

If Kobe can get back to his best then the Lakers will win the title, but I wouldn't bet on it. He'll have great games, but he hasn't adjusted his game to make up for his loss of speed and jumping ability due to age.

Kobe needs to make things easier for himself, not harder. He needs to be posting players up more, getting more high % shots, and making sure Gasol is getting involved. Gasol could get you 30 a night if he got the shots.

Agreed. I read the other day that Gasol's only taken 12 shots/game on average which is ridiculously low for a player of his ability. I get the impression with Gasol that sometimes he passes up the opportunity of shooting in case he misses and upsets Kobe. He has to be more aggressive at times, especially since Kobe can't put up numbers all the time.

Bryant needs to work on his ego a bit. After all, he couldn't add two rings to his collection without Pau.

fecking stay up until 4 to watch the Lakers and with 5 mins to go the stream dies

Kobe having another big game but he's struggled a bit in the 4th.

I was really excited when the Pacers drafted Kawhi Leonard, then crushed when they traded him for an admittedly good player in George Hill.

Hill has been coming off the bench for the Pacers, and he's been okay. Leonard made his first start for the Spurs, 11 points 8 re's with 2 blocks, after posting 19 and 4 steals off the bench against the Bucks and 13 and 10 re's the game before.

I can see what Indiana were thinking, they've been light on guard play for a while and have some good bigs, but I just think he's a special player from what I saw of him at San Diego State, and someone who plays defense even better than he plays offense.

The Spurs have been sooooo good at draft picks for so long, I would reject anything they offered on principle!

They have to be the best team at developing their own players, they have more players on their team that they drafted [or acquired as rookies] than not, quite a feat in today's free agent happy market.

Lakers got their first road win, giving Utah their first home loss, 40 for Kobe, on 14-31, pretty good % considering his low % shooting style. Lakers up to 3rd in the west.

If Heat want to close out games they just need to keep the ball in D.Wade's hands.

They don't compliment one another (LBJ/Wade) but their combined talent alone wins games... in the regular season. They'll still win a couple championships together, it's inevitable in all likelihood.

Put LBJ with the Knicks in the Magic Johnson role and add in a good shooting guard that is great on defense, they'd win the title easily (and change coaches of course).

What a game for Howard, 45 points, 23 re's, 3 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks, as well as breaking the NBA record for free throw attempts.

The Magic are enjoying the emergence of Ryan Anderson, but I don't think they're any better than they were last year. I'm tempted to say that they're a level below the NBA elite, but who is that exactly anymore? Miami is there, but are Chicago and OKC on the same level, and are they the only ones? I could see arguing that Chicago and OKC aren't any better than San Antonio and the Lakers, or Orlando. Dallas don't seem to even be in the conversation so far.

Portland, Philly, Indiana and Atlanta have records as good as LA, but I'd put them on the 3rd tier.

Going to my first NBA-game ever in two weeks :D Travelling to Florida to work at the PGA Merchandise Show, and will get to watch Celtics @ Magic
