Nba 2010-2011

I'm sure they chatted all throughout warm-ups if he is there, probably Spike asked if he could direct The Decision 2

James' jumper looking good so far

One thing that is nice about living on the West Coast is that these Friday games are great to watch when you get home and have a few beers they usually have a pretty good game and the studio stuff is generally good as well

Beautiful pass by James - showing the Knicks what could've been.

Heat starting to pull away a bit now.

Gallinari having a big game, another 3 pointer. Knicks now lead...

Great fastbreak from Chandler, dunking it down. Spike's happy, Knicks are happy - great game so far

That was a travel haha

been a good game so far though, D'Antoni has the Knicks really playing well they are going to be dangerous when and if they get Carmelo

Yeah the Eastern Conference will be really interesting if Anthony does go to NY as expected.

HT and the game tied at 57. Great first half, some really good moves/shots by both teams.

14 point lead for Heat now, the Wade dunk was special.

Lakers down by a few points against the 76ers, Kobe struggling with only 9 points and 30% shooting from the field.

LeBron's jumper has been  today - close to a triple-double which he should get. Miami likely to win comfortably now, their defense has been impressive in the 3rd quarter, although some of NY's shots have been really poor.

LeBron gets his triple-double as the Heat put the nail in the Knick's coffin.

Lakers win, 4th win in a row now for LA and important we build some momentum with the Heat coming to town next week. Kobe really struggled this game, but Pau & Odom put up big numbers and Barnes had a big game from the bench.

Edit: Just watching the highlights from the game and it appears Kobe might have hurt his pinky finger again. Hopefully nothing serious, but that will explain his poor numbers.

Miami with a comfortable win in the end, 1st half was great to watch from both sides, second half the Heat defense stepped up and the offense led by LeBron took the game away from the Knicks (84 points from the 'big 3'). 11 wins in a row for Miami; Stoudamiere's streak of 30+ points in consecutive games is snapped.

There were also quite a few plays from this game that will make the highlight reel.

Magic making some big trades the past day or so.

Reports Vince Carter, Pietrus & Gortat are traded away for Turkoglu and Jason Richardson and NBA.com reporting the Wizards and Magic are close to a trade that will send guard Gilbert Arenas in exchange for Rashard Lewis.

Would be good moves for Orlando, they'll have a bunch of players who can shoot from deep and that should allow them to play the inside-outside game that proved successful for them 2 seasons back.

Two worst contracts in the league traded for each other. Will be interesting to see how it works out.

Looks like there might be some weird results today. Wizards over heat, Philly over Magic.

Celtics won their 13th on the bounce, Lakers win their 5th and getting some good momentum. Kobe got 20 points so his finger injury doesn't look like affecting him yet, bench was effective again.

LeBron saying a league with fewer teams would mean a better NBA as there would be better players on every team . Interesting idea, I mean other than the marquee matches the regular season is quite boring as you can pretty much guess 6/8 teams who'll make the playoffs. However, I don't think his idea will be implemented.

The problem with the NBA and NHL, despite how much I love them, is that their regular leagues are kind of pointless, winning a division means next to nothing unlike in the NFL or MLB.

Just cut the playoffs from 16 to 8. After like 40 games, the regular seasons are just a chore.

There are too many games in the NBA, NHL and MLB. And too many playoff teams in the NBA and NHL. Just create one table, each club plays the other clubs twice (home and away), then have playoffs for the top eight. Fewer games makes each game that more important.

It's a pipe dream though. The owners will never give up those games. I don't think the NBA needs to contract but MLB and NHL certainly should.

Good game between the Celtics & Magic - Orlando started the game very well but have looked a bit disjointed since, that's to be expected considering the number of new players on the roster. Refs letting them play a fair bit and there's been a nice battle between Shaq & Superman.

Lakers-Heat coming up in a couple of hours - hopefully LA can win, can't afford to let the Spurs & Mavs get further ahead.

Why not? What difference does it make?

Lakers could go 41-41 and they'd still easily make the finals such is the genius of the NBA playoffs that good teams don't have to strain themselves.

I agree. The regular season means nothing if you are planning on winning the NBA Championship. Can't wait for the Manchester United and Manchester City of basketball to square off. :D

Great end to the Magic-Celtics game, somehow Orlando managed to win. Celtics win streak ends at 14. Howard's defence was exceptional at times.

Now for the big one...

This is going to be exciting to see, how did the other game end?

Nothing exciting like a buzzer-beater but Orlando were down by 6 despite playing shit offensively for most the game, then Jameer Nelson hit some big shots and a few FTs to get them ahead and get the win.

For the Lakers-Heat, it'll be interesting to see if Ron-Ron guards James. Artest is LA's best defender but last christmas, LeBron made him look like an amateur - hopefully Artest performs better this time

Odom with a nice dunk - he's had a great start to the season.

Wade missing the dunk, Heat's fastbreak is awesome.

Sty Stallone and Kanye in the crowd amongst others

Poor first quarter, Heat playing well. Gasol's been unlucky with a couple of shots going half way down the basket but then coming out. Artest got into foul trouble too early, he's been disappointing this season. James' is a diver, but his jumper is

fecking Heat moving the ball nicely, Lakers a bit too lethargic right now and getting into foul trouble.

If it's any consolation entering the second half, we'll be down around 10 and we cannot possibly play any worse than the way we have so far.

They called a technical on that? fecking refs are pathetic.
