Nba 2010-2011

how about those mavs! forth game in five nights, all wins by the way, including a win over a 12-1 spurs team, and the hated miami heat (on the forth night). this team is much better than past teams especially defensively. one day off and then a game against houston.

I see this every year though. They end up fading late or choking in May. It's quite sad as I would love for the home town club (actually I'm from Fort Worth) to finally win a title (2006 and 2007 choke jobs :().

The Western Conference is really strong this year. The Lakers are not going to have it easy. Its going to be Lakers, Spurs, Nuggets and Hornets/Mavs for the last four.

Yeah the Western Conference is stronger than I thought it would be. We'll see if the Spurs & Mavs can keep their form going all season. I like the Thunder as well, a young team with a lot of talent.

Still, I think the Lakers are the best team in the West. When they get Bynum back they'll be even better as Odom and Gasol won't need to play as many minutes, the bench is also better than it was last year, plus they have Kobe.

yeah Lakers are much better this season
Bynum back 10 days , hopefully in good shape
Odom is in much better shape because playing in the off season with the USA
Brown much better shooter as last season till now , hope it continues
Ron not taking bad shots anymore , still needs to improve
Gasol , Kobe , Fish play as usual ...think Pau gonna step up even more
Blake & Barnes great off the bench , bench not struggling any more as in past years
Walton is back , still waiting for some impact
Ebanks , Caracter we will see and Vujacic is off and not getting minutes

Yeah and Kobe's shooting is a concern. Just need that one win to get back on another long win-streak.

Kobe's shooting is always a concern. He almost always shoots less than 45%. He is a little selfish. And I still can't believe they did not call a timeout when they had the ball with 7seconds left.

Make it a 4 game slide now, defeated at the Rockets. First time since 2007 Lakers have lost 4 in a row. Gasol apparently felt his hamstring during the game, not sure how many minutes he played but I bet Kobe & Phil are now even more pissed at Bynum's decision to delay his surgery until after the WC.

OKCT won in triple-OT against the Nets, Westbrook's having a great season and almost got a triple-double (he scored all of the Thunder's points in the 3rd-OT!)

Cavs Investigate LeBron move to Heat

CLEVELAND (AP) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers have enlisted a law firm to investigate the circumstances leading to star LeBron James signing this summer with the Miami Heat, according to a Yahoo! Sports report.

Yahoo! says Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert has paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to a Midwestern law firm to investigate suspicions that the Heat broke NBA tampering rules while pursuing James, who left Cleveland to join Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade in Miami.

The report comes on the eve of James' return to play in Cleveland for the first time on Thursday night.

Team spokesman Tad Carper said Wednesday night the Cavaliers are declining comment on the report. According to Yahoo!, Gilbert plans to present NBA commissioner David Stern with a detailed case with the hopes of launching a tampering investigation.

 This got leaked to the press the day before LeBron's return? Conincidence :smirk:

HAHA. LeBron's move being investigated. What is there to investigate? The Cavs suck and he knew he wouldn't win anything there. Hence he moved to a team that COULD potentially become a title winning team provided they get a good center and a good point guard.

The deal was a sign and trade regardless anyway so it wont go anywhere.

So the Heat need a big man and a point guard now? They need a team, all they have are three stars. They were so fecking stupid to trade Beasley, I guess he wasnt a big enough name for LeBron, but per dollar is a better player than anyone in Miami, yes that includes, Bosh, Wade, and LeBron.

I reckon the Heat will win, with LeBron getting 20 points, 8 assists & 6 rebounds. Although, there was a rumour earlier that he might not even play - that would be ridiculous.

Chants of 'asshole' for LeBron in the warm-ups

In contrast, Ilgauskas got a warm reception

Coast to coast from Hickson, LeBron getting a very cold reception as expected

they were 76-20 in 2009 and they were 67-26 last year. that's not sucking.

miami now? they were 15-67 in 2008, 46-43 in 2009, and 48-39 last year. now that is sucking!

This.

lebron fanbois use the argument that cavs suck and that he'll never win with that team. They were THE best team:wenger:

good to hear boos for lebron judas james.. and the audacity to do his pre-game routine..hahaha

It does not matter about the record. They have been to three finals and not even won one (one nba final and two eastern conf. finals). They might be a good team but never going to be a championship winning team. They needed a little more investment. Too much depended on LeBron. These are his best years and he thought he rather spend it for a team that is capable of winning something.

First of all I m a Lakers fan. I could care less about LeBron. If they were the "BEST" team then how come they did not win anything. They won one Eastern Conference Championship in 2007 and they got their ass kicked by the Spurs 4-0 in the NBA finals .

too bad james couldn't invest a little more time there. this may have been their year but we'll never know now. miami capable? this experiment will be a giant fail.

so am I:cool:

They didn't win anything b/c they choked and got outplayed.

Wow, that has got to hurt the Cavs fans. 38 points in 30 minutes in such a hostile atmosphere, it takes a great player to do that considering all the off-court antics. Might just kick-start the Heat's season.

Nah I m not sure. They do really well against the teams with less than .500 record but they are awful against teams with a +.500 record. They have a 1-7 record against teams with over .500 record. Cavs are a below .500 team and hence an easy win.

This was always going to happen...he's been a bit down this season, but you just knew the more shit he got from that crowd the better he would perform.

Blake Griffin looks like he's running away with the ROY awards, John Wall is his only competition and the rest are just there to make up the numbers.

10 in a row for the Mavs...

Yeah that is surprising. Two our of three Texas teams are doing brilliantly. They both have the best records in the NBA for now. Lakers are fourth in Western Conference and Heat are fifth in the Eastern Conference which is even more surprising.

The Heat is not surprising at all.

They will work their way back up the standings, but a new team trying to gel together were always going to struggle, and on top of that, they lost Haslem who gave them some muscle down low.

As for the Lakers...4th but you know they're the team to beat out west, Dallas is seriously deep this year, but come the playoffs they'll choke as usual.
