Nba 2010-2011

The refs in the NBA are such homers. That was a clear goal tend by the Heat not to mention Kobe was fouled shooting and at the other end James bumped Kobe on the pick which you can't do (less than a minute remaining).

Kobe gets fouled again and no call. LOL

nba refs are better than anything in european football.

fact.

Except for the ones that officiated the Finals when Miami won last time. They decided, they'd let Wade shoot FTs to win it...everytime he drove, and anyone came into his 'personal space' it was a foul.

Disgraceful series...I still haven't forgotten it.

I see Fergie and Mark Cuban are still not getting along. Both having a go at each other.

From what I’ve watched so far this season, they’ve done well against other realistic contenders

Yeah and if Lebron picked Bulls over Heat, Chicago would be in pole position for the title right now. They are still contenders but I still don't think they have what it takes to go all the way.

They are going to reach the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference easily and then it depends on who they play. I think they are capable of beating the Heat in a seven game series but I m not sure if they are capable of the Celtics.

What if LeBron had chosen the Knicks along with Amar'e? They could be sitting with a top record or thereabouts.

I think LeBron would have stalled Rose's rise this season.

I think LeBron Melo and Amare would be an awesome combo, also Melo is great at taking the last shots I think he had 5 or 6 winning shots in Denver one season

Either way Paul is the perfect fit for Amare and Carmelo since he'd be looking for them and not his own stats(Lebron).

But I doubt Paul will accept half what they are on since he's better than them, so doubt he'll go there. Howard to the Nets or Paul to the Magic, one of them likely to happen probably.

Also not sure if Lebron going to Chicago would of made them better than they are now, him not going there has left Rose as the man, Lebron hogging the ball in the ASG made me sad. Would of been nice to see how they'd work, but I certainly don't think they'd be a LOT better, maybe a little, Wade-Rose would of worked much better though. But still, Boozer was a smart move. Just need a scoring SG to rotate with Brewer and Korver and they'd be near perfect.....should bring AI for a year -_-

I'd love Paul at the Lakers, but I doubt it would happen.

All these big players seem to be more interested moving East than West and if they do move West it seems that they're only interested in the Lakers and no-one else.

Howard to the Lakers is more likely. Since Magic could get a near like for like in Bynum back.

Lakers get their post-Kobe superstar, Magic continue to be a solid contender getting Bynum and whoever else in return. Still good enough for 5th/6th in my opinion behind Bulls/Celtics/Heat/Knicks obviously.

My wife told me she read somewhere that Derek Rose apparently said "he wouldn't play with Lebron" if thats true, I'm not so sure I'd want to trade Lebron for Rose, the latter has been outstanding, MVP contender! I have a feeling its a question of the chemistry and not the talent thats been stuttering at the Heat, on the other hand and in my limited opinion it almost seems like the Bulls have been over-performing. I'm not so sure James brings such a good attitude into the dressing room.

Not true that he said he didn't want to play with him. He just wasn't as "Hey let's suck up to Lebron" like Bosh and Wade were. While they were all too busy kissing each other, Rose improved his game in the offseason.

First time I saw Rose play this season I noticed he had a 'game-face' like Kobe, that is he would try to win at all costs and defeat was not an option. James and Wade don't have that focus and I don't think they show the same dedication that Kobe does, and as Rose has shown this season.

tbh, yes they do. Just this season is messed up because they seem to have fallen into their own egos and become what the public wanted them to become, the bad guys.

But Lebron, Wade, Kobe, they all have the same desire to win, the only difference is Kobe plays for the Lakers.....it's like comparing Scholes to Le Tissier or something. Lakers can and always will make teams, Wade and Lebron did better with less though, Kobe needs a wingman more than they do, but at the end of the day, winning a title without a wingman is next to impossible in the modern era, had Lebron stayed and took the Cavs to the title eventually, would of been an amazing achievement, not that what he did there anyway wasn't considering how horrendous they are without him before and after.

For the first time this season, the Grizzlies have managed what no other team has and that is keeping Blake Griffin to single digit scoring. Griffin only scored 8 points against them.

I know, and he screwed by fantasy team...it also happens to be the start of the playoffs

I'm getting knocked out :(

Knew my Heat would bounce back. Hopefully keep up the form now until the playoffs where we could go all the way!

LETSGOHEAT!

Nuggs have been putti up some nice numbers since the Melo trade

Where were you all these days? All of a sudden you come in and say you are supporting them? Did you jump on their bandwagon this past summer?

We all know what a lovely man Donald Sterling is...but this kind of crap is beyond the pale.

Players had to cover coach’s cancer surgery because Clippers wouldn’t

The Clippers — behind the force of nature that is Blake Griffin — are on the precipice of being good. Maybe very good. Only the Thunder are a young team as well positioned to grow into a contender as the Clippers. Los Angeles has a franchise player, a good number two in Eric Gordon, quality young role players, future picks, a very reasonable salary number going forward. Just keep making smart decisions and they can be right there.

And yet, I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. Because they are the Clippers and their owner Donald Sterling will find a way to screw it up. The stories about him are more horrifying with each new revelation.

This latest one may top the list — several years ago Clippers assistant coach Kim Hughes had prostate cancer, but the team wouldn’t pay for surgery.

We’ll let Gery Woelfel at the Journal-Times tell the story:

“I contacted the Clippers about medical coverage and they said the surgery wouldn’t be covered,” Hughes said. “I said, ‘Are you kidding me?’ And they said if they did it for one person, they’d have to do for everybody else.”

When (then Clippers coach Mike) Dunleavy learned the Clippers wouldn’t cover the cost of Hughes’ surgery, he mentioned it to his players.

Several of them, including now Milwaukee Bucks forward Corey Maggette, Chris Kaman, Elton Brand and Marko Jaric, were taken aback by the news and decided to offer their assistance.

“Kim was one of our coaches and he’s a really good friend of mine, too,” Maggette said. “He was in a situation where the Clippers’ medical coverage wouldn’t cover his surgery. I thought it was a great opportunity to help someone in need, to do something that Christ would do. It shows your humanity, that you care for other people and not just yourself. Kim was in a life-and-death situation.”

That says a lot about the players on that team and their unselfishness. Their humanity.

It says plenty about the Clippers and their owner, too.

I can't believe he refused to help an assistant coach...this wasn't the parking attendant for fecks sake.

Glad the players helped out.

Another good win for the Lakers, clinching the Pacific division & have really kicked-on and shown championship form since the all-star break.

Bynum's suspension is a joke, it was a flagarent foul and deserves a suspension, but if they didn't suspended Garnett for punching Frye in the groin, how could they suspend Bynum for 2 games?

Can someone tell me, what is the deciding factor for top spot if 2 teams finish on the same win% at the end of regular season

from wiki:
In the event two or more teams are tied in the standings, a series of tiebreakers are applied to determine which team receives the higher seeding.

Two-Team Tiebreaker:

1. Division winner (this criterion is applied regardless of whether the tied teams are in the same division)
2. Better record in head-to-head games
3. Higher winning percentage within division (if teams are in the same division)
4. Higher winning percentage in conference games
5. Higher winning percentage against playoff teams in own conference
6. Higher winning percentage against playoff teams in opposite conference
7. Higher point differential between points scored and points allowed

Three-Team Tiebreaker:

1. Division winner (this criterion is applied regardless of whether the tied teams are in the same division)
2. Best head-to-head winning percentage among all teams tied
3. Highest winning percentage within division (if teams are in the same division)
4. Highest winning percentage in conference games
5. Highest winning percentage against playoff teams in own conference
6. Highest point differential between points scored and points allowed

What ha_rooney said. So, if Boston wins their game against the Bulls on April 7, they'd be 3-1 vs the Bulls and have the tiebreaker. If the Bulls win that game, tiebreaker is division record, which the Bulls currently have the edge on, and probably still will, given how bad the rest of the Central division is.

Bulls and Celtics both won the season series with Miami, and would have the tiebreaker there.
