Nba 2010-2011

Kobe playing hard as always, good high scoring game.

This shits all over the Superbowl HT show.

I enjoyed them more as a kid, I still prefer the skills competition. Aka slam dunk competition, home run derby and the whole hockey skills comp.

Kobe looking to break points record, Lebron to join Jordan in the trip dub club.

Hope they give Kobe the MVP and we see Lebron throw a hissy like when Wade got it.

A lot of people don't seem to be impressed by the dunk over the car. I thought it was really good, I mean his elevation was superb.

Read in todays papers here in Croatia that some Slovenian basketball player named Marko Milič did dunk over the car back in 1995 at theirs All-Star.

People weren't impressed because he jumped over a bonnet.....I mean any athletic person could probably do it.

Here's the full vid. I knew there was some truth in the rumor I had heard but it wasn't Dirk. He missed the first attempt (4:10) but makes the second attempt (5:05). What the feck is that mascot?

 at mascot. Didn't know there's a video of,or better say didn't even try to find it. Good dunk by Milič,IMO better looking then Griffins last night.

What each team got in the trade:

Nuggets
-Wilson Chandler
-Raymond Felton
--Danilo Gallinari
-Timofy Mozgov
-Knicks 2014 1st round pick
-Timberwolves 1st round pick
-Warriors 2012 2nd round pick
-Warriors 2013 2nd round pick
-$3mil

Knicks
-Carmelo Anthony
-Chauncey Billups
-Shelden Williams
-Anthony Carter
-Renaldo Balkman
-Corey Brewer

Minnesota
-Eddy Curry
-Anthony Randolph

The Nuggets got an absolute king's ransom, they had all the leverage as Anthony wanted the big extension. The Nuggets got three really good players so I am happy with the deal hopefully the draft picks work out if nothing else they will be useful in future deals.

Finally the trade happens. Its a three team trade. I m not sure if the Knicks should have given up so much for a player who they could have landed for free in the summer. I mean he said New York is his preferred destination.

Knicks finally land Anthony - NBA - Yahoo! Sports

That's the thing they had to trade for Anthony if they wanted him as Melo was always going to sign an extension this year so he could get the big money, so if they wanted him they needed to act, the Nuggets did a good jobg of sitting on their hands.

It was likely to happen, Melo always seemed to prefer a move to the Knicks and thankfully the saga is now at a conclusion. A lot of players involved in the trade.

Apparently George Karl, the Nuggets' head coach wants to trade away Felton before the deadline and if he can't sell him, then Felton will come of the bench. What ever happens, Ty Lawson will start and get 30+ minutes.

You live closer to Anaheim though, no?

I'm from Modesto. I don't know where I'll end up once I get a job but that's beyond what I care about. I've never been to a game.

I just can't accept the Kings picking up and abandoning Sacramento just as things are starting to get better. Seattle at least has other teams. The Kings leaving would absolutely kill the Sacramento area economically.

Yeah I don't want them coming close to LA as well. We already have two teams here. But Anaheim is like 15 minutes from where I live.

That's part of what's sad about this too. Most of Anaheim doesn't want them either. Most of them are saying feck off. If they moved to Seattle, I'd understand. Or Kansas City or St. Louis or Vegas. The city has fecked them over a few times with the arena situation so the team leaving if we can't get something done is inevitable. But all we're asking for is one more year and there's at least one last plan in the works. To leave in the middle of all that and take the team to a place where they'll be the third most popular basketball team is ridiculous.

Meanwhile we're down 20 to Miami. Yay.

I actually think it would be cool if they came to Anaheim SoCal is basketball crazy. A team in the OC would do quite well I believe.

Hope fecking stupid do the Jazz look right now?

They got rid of Jerry Sloan to accommodate Deron Williams, and now reports are they've just about agreed a deal to trade him to the Nets for Derrik Favors + Devon Harris + draft picks.

Obviously it is a good deal if they get all that, and Williams doesn't want to stay in Utah, but then why the decision to part ways with Sloan?

Losers....

So Jazz chose this punk over their coach of 20+years and then trade him a couple of weeks later?

Seemed like the Nets owner wanted to make a move for an all-star player.

It going to be a hard time picking Eastern All Stars next year. Deron Williams, Derrick Rose and Rajan Rondo are all in the East and now Carmelo.

Western all stars had Nash, Paul, Westbrook and Williams to pick at point this year.

Yeah all the recent trades just even things out a little bit.

Baron Davis and a first round pick to the Cavs for Mo Williams. Salary dump.

Kirk Hinrich and Hilton Armstrong go from the Bullets to the Hawks for Mike Bibby, Maurice Evans, Jordan Crawford and a first-round pick.

We're the Wizards now biatch...get it right

Of course it all still adds up to losers, but that is beside the point.
