Poor first half showing from the Lakers. Celtics defence has been better, they've been the more aggressive team so far. That fecker Ray Allen is murdering us, 3 pointer after 3 pointer. I wonder if Phil should look at Artest guarding him and Kobe on Pierce instead?

Pau and Kobe need to step up in the 2nd half, although the 3 at the end was pretty special. Come on Lakers.

Btw, all those celebrities in the Staples Centre, I wonder how many are proper Laker fans (like Jack) and how many are from the 'prawn sandwich brigade'.

Talk about raining 3's for Allen. 7/7 and finally missed on the 8th

The refs need to go to specsavers, some of the calls in the game have been shocking.

The play by play guy on ABC just said Bynum could be the most dominant big man in the game, what a fecking load of shit, he will never be half as good as Dwight Howard

Hahaha Bynum just got rejected by Davis, Bynum has literally no fecking lift

That was a great block, didn't look a foul to me. To be fair to Bynum, he has had a lot of injuries the past 3 years, and is playing with an injury this series. But Howard is by far the most dominant center in the NBA.

I know, but he still isn't that explosive for a top tier player, which is why...he isnt one

Does he really need to be an explosive player with Kobe and Pau in the team. As long as he remains dominant in the paint and gets the rebounds and blocks, which he has been doing today, he'll be doing his job. He's not going to be the best big man, but he'll be the next best thing.

I'm talking about his first step, leap, and second leap, which arent really that good. He does have good footwork technically though.

All tied after 3 quarters. I have a feeling either team will win it with a buzzer-beater, and it will probably be that bastard Allen who does it :nervous:

Kobe looked pissed being subbed but right call by Phil, we need Kobe in the last few minutes, as long as we're still in the game.

Some really shit calls against Kobe and the whole game for that matter. Ray Allen did a flop that would have made Vlade proud earlier for Kobe's third then a shit call for the fourth. He's probably going to foul out at this rate. Just crazy that Jordan could get away with so much shit in his day.

If not for Ray Allen's hot shooting tonight the Lakers would be walking this. And they've played crap for half the game.

Its just the refs evening things up from game 1, Allen got mugged in that game by the refs. Unfortunately the refs have missed the bus so far this series, it's the Finals, they need to let them go....screw the little niggly touch fouls.

Wtf are these refs doing? That clearly went out of bounds off Garnett, fecking dimwits.

fecking Celtics look to have won this. The call on the replay is a fecking disgrace, Rondo made the jumper after that and it made it a 2 possession game. Looks like we have to go to Boston and win atleast 1.

I want to hear a Fergie-esque rant from the zen-master on the refs performance. fecking bastards :mad:

The refs were shit on both sides in Game 1 and the advantage tonight went to Boston. Two of Kobe's fouls were comical.

Fair play to Celtics, defensively they were very aggressive and their bench was good today. Ray Allen murdered us, Rondo was good but got too many offensive rebounds. For Lakers, Gasol and Bynum were positives, Bryant got in foul-trouble and the others were poor.

Once again I would like to say the refs were pathetic. Some of the calls (for both teams) were shocking.

On to Boston now. We'll shut those feckers up on their own court.

Rondo has been doing this all season long, he probably is the best point guard at the moment

No doubt. Comfortably the Celtics best player in the post-season.

I thought Fisher v Rondo and Garnett v Gasol would be where the series would be won, but Gasol seems to have got the better of Garnett whilst Fish is on Allen (which is strange itself, as Ray kept getting open looks today off the screens). I'd like to see Artest on Allen and Kobe on Pierce, with Fish guarding Rondo. We played too loose on Rondo, and he kept ghosting in to get the offensive rebounds, although some of his play today was pretty special.

I have never seen a guard get more easy rebounds than Rondo, in his prime he could very well come near averaging a triple double a night if he wanted to

the fecking refs, non existent fouls , putting kobe off balance , fouling out ron over nothing , it was fecked up
want to punch in some faces now .

I had my stream already to go last night... And I woke up this morning with my stream finished. I was so tired that I just haven't been able to stay up for either of the games so far. Basketball is one of the sports I just don't get an opportunity to watch all year, although I distantly follow it, I used to watch most of the games when they were on channel 5 when I was at Uni.

Dwight Howard has got to be one of the most over-rated players in NBA history.

I think and hope Lakers will do it in 7. Boston will feck themselves up in one of their 3 home games.

well he gets doubled so he creates space for outside shooters and blocks a better

I don't get this either, he cant be that much over 6ft I'm sure he had a dozen or more last night, he's had a load of triple doubles recently
