Thats this series done, to lose this game in this manner...after coming back from 15 points down twice, and tying it with less than 3 seconds to go.

Surely thinking here coms OT, and momentum on their side, to letting Ron Artest kill them with a put back.

Sayonara Suns.

Well it's LA v Boston, haven't seen this one before. I wonder how it will go, could see either team winning.

Yep, that's what I was thinking as well

The last two games have been immense, I don't know who it was who was guarding him, Hill ?, but I thought he did well, really well, just sometimes you have got to say I did the best I can do, and that was just too good, and that was Kobe at times

Hill or Dudley or Hill and Dudley or three fecking guys at once and it doesn't matter.

Ill be pessimistic and say boston are favorites. They're too good defensively and they can three their way back into a game at will like the suns did, or really extend a lead. they'll force kobe and co. to make outside jump shots and as awesome kobe was the last game, he'll eventually miss a few... then he'll start trying all these unnecessary/weird shots to make up for it instead of playing for the easier basket. number 5 would be awesome for him and fisher. and i hate paul pierce. he has the most punchable face ever. he a crybaby bitch too

Lakers in 7. It's going to be a great series IMO. Hopefully an all-time great series. I see a split in LA, then Boston taking two of three at home, before Kobe cements his place as the second greatest ever with magical moments in the last two games.

Hopefully something like that.

That said, LAL are 8-0 at home in the playoffs and 4-4 on the road. Boston are 7-2 at home, 5-3 on the road.

fish can guard rondo , perkins and big baby will be dominated in the paint
allen cant guard kobe ,he has height advantage to , pierce can be silenced be artest and garnett vs pau will be a key match up
lakers in 6

I hate the 2-3-2 schedule they use in the finals, if Boston win one of the first 2 games, they have the advantage of knowing if they hold court, they win without having to return to LA.

Artest v Pierce will be interesting. Gasol was bullied by the Celtics 2 years ago, but with Bynum available this time round I feel we (Lakers) have a bit of an advantage. Rondo's been Celtics key player in the post-season, but he has picked up a few knocks.

Lakers inability to keep leads is a concern. The last 2 games they led by 18 against Suns and both times they almost threw it away, can't afford to do that in the finals.

Overall, Lakers in 6.

I think Rondo could be the difference in the series

Kobe to run wild in hollywood tonight - lets go LA...

Bring it mutha :D

Fisher v Rondo and Gasol v Garnett is where the game will be won for either side imo.

Edit: When the feck does this actually start, I bet I'll watch more minutes of adverts than basketball. Disgrace.

Good first half for the Lakers. Been impressed with the aggression of the Lakers, particularly Gasol.

fecking Ray Allen is 34 years old but he jogs faster than Berbatov can run.

The Lakers have already penetrated more tonight that I recall them doing the entire series in 2008. They have that hunger it appears. Seemingly in control at the moment.

Was the half-time longer than normal? Sure seemed like a Super Bowl half-time length.

I spoke too three people on the phone, it seemed more than 15 minutes

Brilliant win for the Lakers, taking game 1 comfortably. Gasol was aggressive, Artest was fantastic both offensively and defensively, Bryant was Bryant and the others supported them well. Lakers looked hungrier today than they did in the entire series 2 years ago.

Celtics will come hard in game 2, important for LA to hold court. Btw, Phil Jackson is 47-0 in playoff series after his team wins the first game - great omen for the Lakers.

Lakers will blow them out of the water so they choose

KG is done, and so are the Celtics.

Two years ago, Pau was a bit soft(well even softer...hehe), and got owned. Fast forward the last couple of season, and he is a much tougher player. While KG has bum knees and can't jump. Only way this even goes to 6 games is if, Boston play out of their skins, and Kobe has a couple of real stinkers.

The refs were also terrible tonight, lot of nothing calls, they ruined the game. Its the Finals, let the players go....

Celtics have the next two games at the garden I think - we'll take those feckers!

No mate, next game is in LA, the following 3 games (if it goes to 5) will be in Boston and, if necessary, they will return to Staples for games 6 & 7.

Good performance by the Lakers.
I can still see this series going 7 games though - not every game will be called that tight by the refs.
Boston need to do better on the boards, Lakers were eating them up at one stage.

Come on Lakers.

Game 2 about to start. Hopefully Lakers show the same desire and intensity they did in game 1. Lets go LA!!!
