I think he's class, as good as Modric or Sneijder, and they're all worth 30million. Who cares how many years he has left on his contract.
They play in different positions though, which matters a lot, though I dont agree with that statement of yours but nevertheless he's not a quintessential Central mid which is more of a priority now given that we're on the verge of signing what you would call an AM in Young.
Erm, I think that matters a lot clearly and is a deal maker or deal breaker in negotiations depending upon the time left on the said contract.
I just cannot see it happening at all but £15 million would be great deal and a better one IMO than Modric at more than double the price.

Well, he plays for Arsenal and they won't sell him unless they have to, especially to us. A huge offer would probably force their hand and we'd get a top class creative midfielder (imo if Modric and Sneijder can play in a midfield 2, so can Nasri).
I personally wouldn't care if we had to pay big to get him, even if he only has a year left. We'd be getting a 30M (or sth) player for 30M.

Nasri on the same level as Modric. He's a better attacking midfielder, Modric is a better central midfielder.. but then again we haven't seen Nasri play central midfield for a large run of games.
How is Nasri not as good as Modric? What has Modric actually done to receive all this adulation he seems to get on this site? Nasri's record, albeit for a slightly better team, is better than Modric's. To say that Nasri being as good as Modric is a "dream" is crazy. One could argue for either case.

My post was aimed more towards Sneijder, although it probably didn't come across that way. I do think Modric is slightly better also, but Nasri is certainly not on Sneijder's level.

Modric is a deep lying playmaker. More a passer like the Scholes of 07-11. Nasri doesn't play that position at all. The comparison is a weird one.
I think his best football was when he took up Fabregas' position in the team, he's obviously a good winger too but "the Fabregas role" is where he does his best work imo.

Sure Sdeijder is better, but Nasri is younger and already proven to be well suited to the PL. If someone offered us both and we chose Nasri, I would not be too upset.
