This is what i thought. But this could be down to the fact that he is playing with boys and bottlers. At united, hes playing with men.

EDIT: lol, playing with men...

possibly, but that same argument would apply to Fabregas and a much younger Wilshire, who has impressed me in all the big games he's featured in so far.

Anyone got links to an arsenal forum discussing this ? id love to read their reaction this.

yesterdays RAWK Phil Jones one was quality :D

I really cant see this happening...he'll get the money/promises he wants and the papers will revel in a player "snubbing" United.

We should really be focusing on other targets.

P.S. I'd be made up if it happens though :-)

Skysports.com understands Manchester United have stepped up their interest in Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri.

Speculation has intimated Nasri is on United's radar and skysports.com has now learnt he is the club's top target.

The talented French schemer's reluctance to engage in contract talks with Arsenal until he is satisfied their transfer targets are of the required standard to mount a title push next season has alerted Sir Alex Ferguson to his possible availability.

Despite being close to wrapping up a deal for Blackburn defender Phil Jones and Atletico Madridgoalkeeper David de Gea, amid widespread speculation Aston Villa's Ashley Young is also heading for Old Trafford, Ferguson's appetite for new signings has yet to be sated.

Nasri is seen as an ideal replacement for the retired Paul Scholes, with the centre of the field an area United's management are keen to revamp with fresh talent.

Inter Milan's Wesley Sneijder has been linked but Nasri, with just a season left on his existing deal, could be a more realistic deal to finance.

Arsene Wenger would be loath to lose one of key men, especially given Nasri's exit would likely lead to other members of his squad questioning their own futures.

However, United are now ready to test Arsenal's resolve to keep a player who has previously intimated he would be open to the prospect of moving to Manchester.

I'm clearly late with this. Move along, nothing to see here.

Not sure about that. Nasri played a few games as the deepest CM and did very well too. Some of his best performances for you IMO.

Not last season last season Arsenal Mostly played 4-2-3-1 with Nasri in the hole behind the striker with both Song and Wilshere deep. He had his best spells playing this position before Fabregas came back from injury and he was shunted out onto the left.

The big positive is that if they sign Nasri for the middle, they wouldn't be signing Modric. I will be extremely afraid if they end up with Modric, while I will LOL @ Fergie if they end up with Nasri and plan to play him in the middle

Arsenal Forum - View topic - Nasri's contract situation

even arsenal fans dont think he can cut it in a 2 man midfield.

If this gets pulled off it would be a devastating blow to arse. But i still feel he's trying a Rooney.

10pm English time I imagine as he said after the France-Poland game, which started 20 minutes ago.

Latest from Twitter

Nasri refuses to give up on his snood so United move is off.

45 mins to closing thread and muppet suicide or furious wanking after announcement of move to United

Most probably the former. I cannot see Wenger losing out on Nasri after the Jones fiasco...

so..

Sneijder is the top target inter are insisting on nani in return which the club have agreed to but there are other offers on the table.
If we get sneijder then young is seen as the replacement for nani.

If we don't get sneijder then Sanchez is the top target in which case nani will likely be sold to inter and young would not be required. Again there are other offers on the table.
We would then look for a more cost effective centre mid solution possibly nasri but could be someone else completely different. Maybe kagawa, or Adam, but that is just speculation.

This is why our big dealings have stalled, bit of a stand off. Also why young was getting a bit miffed and was looking like the scousers were favourites to sign him last week.

Rodwell will sign.

The media have already picked up on his Nani for Sneijder "theory."

Look out for the rest of this shit popping up.

Does anyone else think someone just earned themselves a tagline?

None of this, 'I've got a source' bollocks, not even a hint of a family friends sex victim's brother, but straight into it, with indisputable facts. Knowing ridicule is the only possible response, that my friends, is the transfer muppet overlord.
