Who cares? No one wants to see the greedy cnut in an Arsenal shirt again, even if we lose 0-9 with Carroll getting 3 hattricks and me having to agree with JoPub.

Wenger is playing a dangerous game on all levels involving Nasri tomorrow.

We'll never have as good a chance of breaking our highbury/emirates duck as tomorrow.

Squillaci/Koscielny in defence. Ramsey/Primsong in midfield.

I am psyched about this game. And a little trepid that this opportunity looks too good to be true.

negotiation strategy if you ask me.

"you think I won't keep him if you don't pay up? I will, I'll play him tomorrow just to prove it to you."

I can't see a way Liverpool won't win tomorrow. If they don't, that's a real kick in the teeth for the new regime. We can barely name a bench.

If you don't beat them the knives will be out for Wenger regardless.

Which is interesting, when you bear in mind that even if you lose your next game against United you'll have done no worse than you did in the equivalent fixtures last season.

the worry is we went to the emirates a few months ago with two teenagers in defense, Kyrgioakos for the last 40 minutes, spearing in midfield no gerrard or agger and managed a draw.

The last time we struggled to field a team against your lot Neil fecking Mellor popped a winner.

This whole back against the wall scenario has become so despondent it is starting to worry me a bit.

Hopefully, you have no bottle and will crack from it.

The reason the knives are out is because we have £100m in the bank and we're sitting here with less than a fortnight before the end of the transfer window with the smallest squad in the division, with no recognised left-back fit at the club. I'm not one of the 'Wenger out' brigade, but this is panic time. We just need to buy anyone. Literally anyone to fill some places up.

If we were at Anfield, we'd have a 1% chance of getting something. It rises to 10% because we're at home. I can't see Jenkinson stopping Suarez, and I can't see Frimpong bossing the midfield either. It's horrendous how we've allowed the club to get into this sorry state. If I were a betting man, I'd go for a 4-0 Liverpool win. You'd get great odds, and if you get one early on, the floodgates might just open when you realise you're playing against a league one full back on one side. Needless to say, hope I'm proven wrong.

I don't know that it's quite that bad but I do wonder about his thought process when it comes to things like the left back position. Is he really betting the house on Gibbs to stay fit all season, not to mention that he'll prove to be good enough?

I can only assume he's looking closely at a centre-half and a midfielder to replace Fabregas but again, did he really need to let Eboue go with their squad so light? He may not have been the best but he was a decent, experienced player.

I have sympathy with him on the Nasrigas deals but he knew this was coming and unless he can bring in the likes of Cahill, Mata and one or two others then it's tough to see you being at your best this season. As good as Ramsey and Wilshere are, they're still kids. They'll have bad days, and sometimes on the same day.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Stop trying to out drama-queen Jo, you'll give Arsenal fans a bad name. I watched the Liverpool game on Saturday and they were piss poor, even with a weakened side we should be odds on to beat them

You have to think Carroll and Suarez will fancy their chances this game.

I can sympathise with the Nasri and Fabregas business too. You can't really predict when those deals are going to happen, and it's unfortunate that it's been at the worst possible time for us.

But what irritates me is how we let Denilson go earlier this summer, with news of an injury to Diaby for 3 months having just been established, and no replacement was lined up. This summer, we have lost four players(Cesc, Nasri, Denilson, Diaby(shortish term) who can play centrally, and we have not signed anyone in their place, despite funds being available.

I genuinely have no idea what is going on there, and I think pretty much every Arsenal fan is in my position on this. No-one desires a massive change of policy, and some City-style spending. We want sold players to be replaced. So when we lose Clichy in July, we replace him before the start of the season - either a direct replacement, or a back up for Gibbs. Either was fine. Instead, we now go into a big game without a fit full back.

This summer has to be one of the worst transfer windows for any club in the history of football, and it's no exaggeration. A club which has money loses three first team players and two further squad players, and replaces them with three wide-men, two of who are under twenty, and a full back from league one, again, under twenty.

Carroll will come back to defend a corner and head it in his own net, see Tony Hateley.

Of course 4-0 is hugely unlikely - as a bet though, it's not the worst one in the world.

I don't see your optimism. We've had weakened sides put out in the past, but never a side without a recognised left back, and without any of its first choice midfield from last season. Song, Wilshere, Fabregas with Denilson and Diaby on the bench has now turned into Frimpong and Ramsey, with no-one on the bench. You can't deny that's more than just 'weakened.'

Squillaci should start alongside Kos with Vermaelen moving to left-back

I'm considering putting a tenner on the Arse. After all, they have RvP, Arshavin and Walcott as their front 3 which could prove that little difference. Dippers defence ain't that great either. It'll be amazing to see Nasri start this

Have a stiff drink and pop a tampon in, you're embarrassing yourself.

Have you never bet on an unlikely score-line, just on a hunch? Interesting times ahead for us tomorrow. Maybe 4-0 is exaggerating, but we don't have a left-back. Our central midfield can only have two players in it because that's all we have, one of whom has never started a PL game, and yet it seems the sensible bet is a draw? Not in my book. If the roles were reversed, I'd be apoplectic if we couldn't beat Liverpool by at least two goals.

"you think I won't keep him if you don't pay up? I will, I'll play him tomorrow just to prove it to you."

Pretty poor negotiation strategy because he has already showed his hand by not playing Nasri in the CL Playoff vs Udinese. Playing him in the league doesn't put Arsenal in a good negotiation position, I would say it's the opposite if you consider a possible injury.

Reckon Arsenal will dominate Liverpool in open play. Henderson and Adam will get passed around very easily.

Though Carroll and Suarez will bully Arsenal's defence for sure.

There'll be a few goals, that's for damn sure.

you would have said the same about the Newcastle v Arsenal game.

As much as i'd love a goal fest i can honestly see a stalemate. Based on the fact even at this rediculously early stage of the season, with the pressure on both teams neither will want to lose.

When both teams play to not lose, they generally draw.

He couldn't have played Nasri against Udinese. He was part of the 'Van Persie kicked a football' ban.

Just have the fecking period willya?

 at alastair.

The Arsenal-situation has to be a worry though, for Pete and his fellow Gooners who are not in need of an instant tampon up the ol' fanny.

The defence doesn't look rock solid, they're seriously lacking in cover there as well, and the numbers in CM are quite shocking(plus there's questions about their actual quality in some cases as well.)

I'd be worried if I was an Arsenal-man, if Wenger don't sign some players they actually need before the window closes. But talk about being annihilated by a Liverpool-side which I believe have mad numerous questionable accquisitions and as such haven't really strengthened a lot, is just daft.

What do you disagree with? Are you happy with the squad as it is? Let's say, hypothetically, we don't sign another player this window, where will we finish? If we could play our first eleven every week, we'd finish 3rd/4th. Since we can't, it's looking a bit dicey.

Oh, true. I forgot. But still, I doubt City getting terrified by him playing Nasri in a league match. It hurts Arsenal more than it helps.

The United game is more of a worry than this one. The only reason I suggested we could get annihilated is because they could stick 3 in CM and outnumber us, then just get it wide to Suarez who'd have a field day against Jenkinson. You don't need huge quality in CM if you outnumber the opposition. Our best chance is to try and by-pass the midfield and get it forward ASAP where we have real quality.

I've only made one bet in my life, on Leeds when they reached the CL semis, to ensure my life remained worth living.

But I would happily bet you 50 quid that you don't get turned over 4-0 by the dippers in front of your own fans.

Any chance that Miyachi will play part in this match?
I still think Arsenal will beat Liverpool by the way.

I said it was unlikely, I just think it's a better bet than a 2-0 Arsenal win or something along those lines. As I said earlier, if Liverpool get nothing out of this game, they're in serious trouble.

I'll bet you 20 quid that you don't lose alastair. I'll also bet you that you win if you give me decent odds.

We'll finish top 4 comfortably. I think losing Cesc has probably cost us any chance of the league but that can't be fixed overnight. You can't get world-class players without paying silly money so we'll have to attack it collectively.

You can get 7/4 the Arse win on betfair rather than skin Al.
