It's called maturity. Something a lot of people on here don't give football players a chance to develop.
Ah, I'd love to see him becoming a regular in our side, he has all the tools to be a briilliant winger. It's just interesting he shows some improvement in his decision-making now after being let down by it over the period of 18 months. Nani/Valencia could be a fantastic partnership on the wings if given a proper chance to shine.

Looks a different player on the right, like the Nani of old - i say if hes like this in the second half Valencia should be tried on the left

We've always been able to see how much potential he has, which is why he can be so frustrating. I've always hoped to keep him though. I still can't see him being a regular starter this season, but hopefully he'll be much more involved.

Said it before and I'll say it again. His game is just much simpler on the right, he doesnt have to come inside all the time and doesnt have loads of options to choose from so more often makes the right choice. When it comes to just putting crosses into the box Nani more often than not puts in one or two top quality efforts a match. Today is no different, so far. Thing is Nani is usually capable of 45 minutes of a good performance and then in the second half fades out.

I am impressed with his use of his brain today. He is doing the simple things for once.

Classic wing play from Nani today.

He's been brilliant, and could easily have had a couple more assists had Park and Owen been able to hit the ball properly.

absolutely fantastic today. a glimpse of his true potential. got all the tough choices right just some missed executions.

had a hand in all three goals, won the corner/took the corner, took the stinging free kick and a peach of a cross for the third.

well done, my MOTM.

Yep. Teasing crosses. Good free kicks. Teasing corners. Please please let this be a turning point in his United career.

he was frightening today. Dribbling, passing, crossing, free kicks were all just sublime. Not often you don't say the player who scored 4 goals is MoTM, but for me it was Nani ahead of Rooney today. Keep it up lad.

Excellent today. Rooney will get all the plaudits(Rightly so) but for me Nani is the man of the match, he should start against City. More of this please

Spot on. Today we saw what Nani is capable of, now it's time for him to get a good run of performances to give Valencia some competition. Good problem for us to have as they offer different qualities, and let Nani take more set pieces please.

Nani on form brings another dimension to our play. good work by him. lets hope he can continue the good work

Gives Fergie a fecking headache this lad doesn't he?

Played his best in a Man Utd shirt and i feckin loved every moment of it. Beautiful. But lets not overreact here. It was against Hull.

But the only problem in all this is that, we still don't have a solution to our problems on the left hand side of midfield.

But, we should soak and revel in this, Nani played really well. So well done lad.

Time to try Valencia as an attacking midfielder once in a while if Nani wants to perform like today on the wing.

Very good half for Nani.

Keeping it simple yet effective and tracking back very well which has resulted in him winning back the ball quite a few times.

Promising.

Ignited. We have lift-off.

I just hope he's given a run. I doubt it though. Probably back on the bench against City.

Valencia's burst of pace and powerful shot playing behind Rooney would be something else to see. I reckon that could work.

I'd just like to say a word of thanks to the person who made it all possible.

Well done, Marcus.

My stream was shit so I'm looking forward to watching this one properly later on and seeing just how good the boy Nani was.

Been critical of him in this thread and in general but he was very good today. Outside of Rooney he was our best player. Definitely seems more comfortable on the right which is a problem as it puts him in direct competition with Valencia. Hopefully he can keep it up.
