Nani is the only one of our loaned (half established) players that has a chance of coming back and having another go. I hope so, but if a good offer comes in, i dont think we will keep him.
Depends Raoul. If you bring him back and put him on the bench, you will probably see old Nani. If he´s given a run of games i think he can replicate his good form at United as well. But i think United will invest heavilly again (specially if you make it to the Champions League) and he would probably do better to move to Valência or Mónaco and play for managers who know him well and trust him (Nuno and Leonardo Jardim).
Nani in the current system would work in either wide spot. He can cross, he can play the quick passing game and can come inside and shoot. I don't expect him to be playing for us next season but, would love to be wrong.
And where does Juan Mata fit in for you?the right wing is there for the taking, regardless whether it is 4-3-3 or 4-4-2. obviously LVG sees valencia as an attacking RB now.
hell even the left wing is not sorted out yet. ashley young has been fantastic there though.
nani right wing and depay left wing for next season please.
And where does Juan Mata fit in for you?
Fair enough. I just think this formation we're using now looks pretty strong, and Mata has worked very well on the wing (albeit with licence to drift around.) In any event, I'd love to see Nani back as I think he can offer a lot to the team, even if he's not a pencilled-in starter.anywhere in an attacking position behind the striker. the more quality players we got the better isn't it?

How's he done fitness wise? He seems to play all the time for you guys, yet could never stay fit for us in his last couple of seasons. That was his main stumbling block imo. After a run of games, as you say we usually see good Nani.
Fitness wise he has been excellent. Don´t forget he had a long campaign with League, Champions League, Europa League, Cup and National team games. He missed some games in December due to an injury playing in artificial turf.
I thought he had lost pace, but he is still blisteringly fast! Amazing dribbling.

He looked very sluggish in pre-season
Trying so hard not to get attached to him and his potential again, avoiding those videos.
Same, that was biggest worry but it definitely doesn't look like he lost any pace at all.

United winger Nani doesn't want to make his loan move to Sporting Lisbon permanent, according to reports in Portugal.
The 28-year-old has spent the season with the Portuguese club who he joined United from in 2007.
He told Portuguese publication O Jogo: “The fans asked me to stay, but we all know it’s hard, because I have a contract with Manchester United and my ambitions are different this time.
“I am very happy to have spent a year at Sporting. It was a great time, helping Sporting where I could and finish in the top three."
So, youtube compilation aside, there's been nothing posted in here since March. What's that all about? Injured?
That's a great highlights reel, but the problem with these highly technical fast and skilful players is that when it comes off it's amazing and when it doesn't everybody gets frustrated and and bleats on about consistency.
Giggs was booed 10 years before he retired, Nani was booed and many people think Di Maria is shit.
If you were to do a highlight reel of Di Maria for this season, we would see some incredible stuff, but you can't expect that sort of player taking that many risks for everything to come off every time.
Having Di Maria & Nani in the same team would be incredible and we would see some amazing stuff, but people would still be saying the same old crap about inconsistency.
One good example was the WC semi-final, Di Maria did nothing all game, then one piece of magic put Argentina through. If you accept that, rather than crying every time if doesn't come off, then fine, but football fans are too fickle and don't know that much about football.
For me, it says an awful lot about the character of the guy when he has endured such criticism, gone to a club where he has excelled and is loved by the fans - yet, he still longs to return to Manchester. It could be assumed that he himself feels he has a point to prove at United. Whether or not LVG is of the same opinion - remains to be seen.
Biggest thing that could actually assist Nani in a return, is the eradication of this 'Similar to Ronaldo' bullshit! He no longer has to live under that shadow.
Would he give Rooney and aneurysm - yes.
Do I want to see him doing backflips in front of LVG - yes.
