Yeah percentages means if you throw enough shit at a wall some of it will stick
What a great day for us all! Rejoice people... rejoice!
To commemorate this first anniversary, I'm going to try and go for lunch later on, possibly for a sandwich... but whatever food substance I get, there's no doubt I will try and make life difficult for it. I'll certainly be doing my best to finish it all.
Happy Moyes is sacked day everyone!
Betcha some journo turns this thread into an article, like so:
UNITED FANS CELEBRATE 'MOYES IS SACKED DAY'
Manchester United supporters on the popular RedCafe website forum have delivered the final insult to former manager David Moyes by openly CELEBRATING the anniversary of the Scotsman's brutal sacking etc etc. Whether this becomes an annual event remains to be seen but, even if it doesn't, we'll write a story about it anyway. Meanwhile, Mario Balotelli tweets something about the weather, and Karren Brady poses in a bikini; more news as we shamelessly scrounge through the internet's bins.
Percentage football would be playing to percentages
Example; Cross the ball into the box 90 times per game and its going to lead to 5 or 6 chances by law of percentages.
So yeah, like you say, not real plan as such. Basically no deliberation in how we play, more a case of if we excersize X so many times it will lead to result in so many Y's
Yeah percentages means if you throw enough shit at a wall some of it will stick
A decent five minute video to remind us of Moyes' year in charge.
Where is the Man Utd Forum thread discussing his sacking as it happened? Can't find it with the search

?think when he see's this...
... You're ruining Moyes is Sacked day for everyone! Think of the children...
If you can't finish it all mate don't worry, just use it as motivation to try to aspire to that level of sandwich finishing one day.

That is true, I'm sure I can go from good sandwiches to great sandwiches soon enough... though I'm wondering if I even want a sandwich now... think I might want some pasta... or maybe a salad... no, I do want a sandwich... or a burrito... feck, a jacket potato is a lunch food right? RIGHT? Help
This also gets repeated a lot. If players didn't believe in him and didn't think he was going to take us forwards plus they disagreed with his methods and were afraid that the club was heading in the wrong direction, all of which seems to have happened, then it's obviously normal for them to put less effort into games than they would have under a competent manager. As someone who has been mismanaged at work I can tell that the effort you put into your daily tasts varies depending on the quality of management.Voted "Necessary Evil". I still feel that the players had no respect for him, rightly or wrongly. I still stand by both the decisions ( to appoint and Sack).
Last year, was a reality check for the fans and the club and it was needed. Anyone coming in after Fergie, was going to be under so much pressure.

By the end of it he had become like an evil Game of Thrones character.
The worst thing was the expectations of some part of our own fanbase which got incredibly low. One of the most annoying and depressing question from those ppl related to this whenever someone questioned Moyes or Phil Neville was:
"What has Moyes/Neville done to not get a chance here? How do you know what kind of job Phil is doing? They haven't proven in the past that they are the wrong ppl ..."
I swear I never had a job interview where I was asked why I shouldn't be given a chance. Instead I always had to prove why I actually deserve a chance and when did I acchieve similar success in the past.
But at arguably the biggest club in the world some ppl and definitely Moyes seemed to think United is either an NGO or a training academy for incapable managers.
Imagine going to an interview: so Mr. United, tell us for the things you haven't done wrong so far in your life/previous jobs. The worst thing was the expectations of some part of our own fanbase which got incredibly low. Oh there were a lot of ppl asking that kind of questions.I don't think anyone has ever said "What has Moyes done to not get a chance here?"
Most of us share that opinion.Bah, I searched for 'David Moyes sacked'. The David messed it up.
