That was a best April Fools day, David... On a serious note - Well Done ! ! !
We want to see more of that.
Opinion hasn't changed.
Good at stopping other teams play. But not so great setting up teams to win.
David Moyes has matched Pep Guardiola tactically.
Never thought I'd write that fecking sentence.
I think that Pep is happy with the result. He will be less happy with losing Javi and Bastian.
This has become a 'nothing' phrase, as someone writes it after each win or decent result we get. Of course he can't feck it up every time - how could he? He's actually got some decent players at his disposal, whether the ginger goblin wants to admit it or not.Fair fecks to him; he's done well tonight.
Ballsy performance. Exceeded my expectation. He still picked the wrong first 11 as Kagawa's introduction showed IMO.
Huh? Defend deep and try to nick one is a much better idea than trying to draw 2-2Yup, can have no complaints about that at all. We now have to go and score two in Germany, so his approach to that will be interesting.
Right tactics but first 11 still messed up kind of, fair fecks for him to fix it at half though. He got it spot on tonight in fairness. They only equalised because of an error from Fellaini. They created next to nothing otherwise.
Weird, I must've just assumed they'd score by default. Then yes, more of the same next time out it is.Huh? Defend deep and try to nick one is a much better idea than trying to draw 2-2
I just realized...this is the type of game Moyes is used to making tactics for. A heavy underdog who will be happy to escape with a 0-0 draw and trying to get a lucky victory. His problem this year has been the expectations, but he knows how to pull a surprise win. All his years at Everton trained him for this.
I thought Fellaini did alright second half, all told. Shocking first half though

More shots on target than they did. You don't get that against Bayern without an attacking plan.Defensively world class tactical preparation.
Attacking wise, not so much. We were left to hoof the ball up until Kagawa can on and we created some chances.
Kind of resembling the Arsenal away game.
I doubt Fergie would have done anything different. Got to give him credit today. Extra points for getting away with playing Fellaini against the best team in Europe.

I'll hold back my praise for the man until he actually delivers results and performances over a period of time. Until then I'll just assume that the players aren't shite enough to embarrass themselves against the opposing team every single time.
That's the kind of faith I have in Moyes after this travesty of a season. He's fecking shite.

This would feel really good if we didn't all know that Moyes will then go and feck it up against Newcastle at the weekend...
