Moyes So Far!

So the Moyes PR machine is putting the Kroos to United rumours in the tabloids every few nights to keep us all believing that he can deliver the big boys in teh summer and therefor should get more time

According to the mirror tonight Bayern have absolutely no intention of letting Kroos go and will offer him a much better deal soon.....That's gonna leave MOyes looking pretty stupid again and will maybe resort him to lining up Osman to play with fellaini in the Utd midfield for the start of next season

If he signed Osman, someone would take a contract out on him.

All them times he went to watch Munich play

Is Osman the new Modric? Misunderstood and derided for no real reason ...

Never seen Osman play, but I vividly remember how Modric mocked aplenty on here ... Only for everyone to change thier opinion when rumours started that he was on SAF's radar!!

No. Seriously he's not.

A club like United everyone is on their radar really, they start with the broadest scope each season and narrow it down as it progresses, I feel bad for Spurs though, losing Modric, Van der Vaart, Bale and Defoe, great team they had.

I do think he likes the way Munich play, but if he has let himself be strung along by another player he is a mug.

I think its good if you can analyse the best teams in europe by trips and thinking "Ok how can I take this system one step further"

It's the fact they have replace them with absolute rubbish.

He's under even more pressure now seeing as though his "targets" are staying put, one by one, it seems...

Who the hell are we going to sign then?!

I'll play for £10 a game, I'll work hard in training but I might give the ball away a bit.

They are talented players, but the thing with Talented players is, they need to play with great players to bring them up to that level, by learning from them, Spurs have no direction, same as Arsenal when they lost Henry, Vieira and their golden boys.

Is Osman the new Modric?

You might have a point here. Let's have a look at some of the background...

How they are similar
Both have two legs
Both have won 0 international trophies
Both have first names beginning with "L"
Both have played at Old Trafford in their careers

How they are different
Modric has won trophies
Modric is a good footballer

Osman's alright to be fair and not a bad footballer. Just not the sort of player we should be looking at if we're aiming to get back to where we were previously. I was about to say he's not good enough for our level, but then again at the moment he'd be making a step down.

Yeah, that's probably fair. I can't help feeling though that if we want an Osman-type player then there are younger prospects who would provide better value and longevity. Specifically Barkley and Lallana.

What'd you reckon would be the consequences of holding up a Moyes Out banner in the next few games? Ban from the stadium? Would be the worst they could do eh?

If those jackass stewards want to play that game, then I hope they will be ready for bruises and black eyes from extremely angry fans who want to express themselves inside the stadium even if it breaches the stupid party line.

Yeah, although I'd expect that in the long term, younger prospects like Barkley and Lallana will probably turn out to be much better players than someone like Osman if they fulfill their potential.

Having Osman and Barkely and Lallana in the same sentence is a bit mad. Osman is not bad for a club like Everton but he is not in the same class as the other two will be when they reach their potential

Here it comes again, that rising feeling of hope, hope beyond all common sense, I have just started with the familiar feeling we could have a chance in tomorrows big game, fed a small seed of hope after scoring 4 on Saturday and now that seed has grown into full blown hope.....FMoyesL
I have just voted us having no chance in a vain attempt to extinguish the fires of hope, it's like a disease.

There's 2 things Moyes needs to do in this job if he wants to survive........First of course is to get a top number 2. I have a feeling that he is gonna bring Queiroz back over the summer. But I was thinking if we really wanted to bring in the innovation and style we all crave then Luis Enrique could be a top guy to bring in as a number 2 if we had any way of poaching him from Celta Vigo.....I'm sure we could offer him more wages here than he is on there to be a number 2.....he may not have proven to be the best manager but he is meant to be a master when it comes to attacking formations.

Also we need to poach the psychiatrist Dr. Steve Peters from Liverpool....The bloke has been responsible for transforming the fortunes of Liverpool, Ronnie O'Sullivan and Team Sky. The man must be a phenomenon

But knowing Moyes he'll probably promote Phil Neville as his number 2 as will be gone by Christmas after blowing another 200 million

You're belittling them if you think Money is all they want, probably yes, but I don't think a genious number 2 would want to work with a manager like Moyes, he'll gonna undermine their whole idea and advice and gets the team playing his own dour football.

Unless he really trust them all the way, and hand over the playbook to his Number 2, but if he does that, we might as well sack him and get a better manager.

To be fair I said "Osman-type" rather than "Osman". By which I mean a hard-working English midfielder.

Personally I'd be delighted if we signed Lallana this summer.

As time goes on the thread title looks better if you think of it as a incomplete sentence.

Happy David Moyes Day everyone! Hope you pulled off a Moyes on your friends!

Hoping for a real show of intent from him tonight. If we are going to get beat it needs to be because Bayern are the best team in the world, not because we are woeful. Lets take the game to them and make a real fight of it.

Unfortunately, he is more likely to focus on being 'hard to beat' than ever tonight.

I think Lallana is a good player.

He's a decent English player at the peak of his career having a good season at a midtable club.

If Lallana is the sort of player you'll be happy for us to sign in the summer then Moyes has been successful in lowering your expectations.

I don't think he should be our main signing, don't get me wrong. But he has to be an improvement on Cleverley. And an ageing Carrick.

Unfortunately he may be the standard we have to go for, not what we would like. He is good. The summer will show how much damage has been done to our club, when they try to sign the big names the fans want, who either won't come here because they don't rate the manager or because of no CL football. If we do get anybody we will have to vastly overpay, then you worry if they perform or are just happy to pick up their wages.
