Moyes So Far!

We'll lose against Bayern. Everyone expects it but there will be outrage and people will want Moyes out but the club will back him.

No point reacting to every single game.. Not much can change now.

We'll have to see what he does in the transfer window. I'm hoping he gets it right..
Unfortunately I think the transfer market isnt the most important thing he has to deal with, he has to get us playing quality football first.

I don't think the transfer window is his problem. He needs to get the team to play well.

The haters will always hate no matter what he does, with the pathetic insults. No structured criticism, just out and out swearing. Feeding off each others praise for who can use the most ridiculous swear words to describe him. That's all this thread has become. Pathetic.

I didn't agree with the banner flying overhead, but I also don't agree with people cheering for Moyes today.

Loved the response from the fans today. Good performance, after a shaky start. Very good day for Moyes, in the end.

Here's to many more!

Is it just me or does he appear more on the touchline when things are going well. On Tuesday he spent the last 20 minutes sat on the bench with Round giving the instructions from the side of the pitch. The picture that appeared in newspapers after the Olympiacos defeat with him slumped on the bench with his legs crossed summed him up for me. When things are going wrong he simply passes the responsibility to someone else.

However when things are going well you can be guaranteed he will be stood on the sideline making sure he gets some praise. He spent the last 20 minutes today barking instructions out to Januzaj. If we had been losing at that stage you can be sure Round would be stood there doing his dirty work.

Am I the only one who feels like a lot is being made of a polite applause of Moyes when he walked out? It wasn't the rousing show of support that pundits have described it as.

Everyone can twist the world to match their agenda.

He only stands on the touchline to get some praise, this has got to be a WUM. The insults on Moyes have a reached a new low here.

Aren't you precious...

Enjoy the 90 minutes of football because nothing else matters apart from that. Everything else is a nice, lovely, tasty bonus but a bonus. Well done to Moyes and the boys for getting the result today when people/"fans" wanted otherwise. Lovely weather outside, enjoy the rest of your day.

Is there any significance in the way he didn't tuck his tie into his trousers, you think?

Despite the thrashing by City last week, I can actually see a bit of change starting to creep through.

I've analysed the tv footage in slow mo, and he clearly blinked more often with his left eye than his right. I think that says it all !

Yeah we all thought the same after the West Ham game. There's been too many false dawns. Beating Aston Villa should be the norm for United.

Changes nothing really, how can it? There is this game by game analysis of David Moyes right now and today's result will bring the apologists out in force. It's just all very reactive.

He should be judged by the season as a whole and so far it has been pathetic. At the end of this horrible campaign a 4-1 home victory over Villa may even be regarded as one of the high points. Perspective.

Plenty of evidence today that Moyes was right about the squad and Fergie would've struggled. I bet most managers would be unhappy to have rely on options like Hernandez and Januzaj from the bench...

...oh wait...

Man, I can't stand anything he does anymore. Just seeing him waving to the fans as if he's achieved something irked me. And his stupid smirk.

Objectivity has been lost.
He's the most smug person in the world.

Exactly. The only change creeping in is a dramatic lowering of our standards. People praise Moyes for what should be absolutely standard.

He just said coming to old Trafford isn't the easiest place.

Bet Bayern are shitting themselves.

There have been times when I feel he's slowly molding us into something he can work with, which combined with 3-4 world class players this summer, could result in a complete turnaround. He just has to hang on this year.

Remember he finished 17 at Everton in his first year and took them to 4th the next.

He will come out and say that he can look fans in the eye now, won't he? He will consider this massive achievement.

We were winning comfortably today yet he spent the closing stages of the game roaring at our players like the game was in the balance. He could easily have just sat on the bench and we still would have seen out the game easily. However, in countless games where we have been beaten and struggling, he just sits there on the bench doing nothing when our players need his encouragement and instructions most.

How can people still defend moyes.... Half of the caf could have managed a 4-1 win over villa???? What tactical master stroke does he bring to any table....

This has been an epic fail...... Should have known after his comical bidding on Fellaini and baines and then actually spending more on Fellaini had he not purchased him before a certain date..... After that his whole managerial campaign has belonged on the comedy channel

I agree. And to be honest, if I was in the game, no matter who's going out of the tunnel, when we have a game at our hands, I would applaud him. I'm not paying big money to go there and boo a man, or discourage my team and watch my team get destroyed. The boos would only come at the end of a game we lost.

Again he has carried himself with dignity during the post-match interview. Some of his words are getting taking way out of context but for me he carries himself very well. I really want him to succeed and I think he will.

Crikey.

You were one of the more vocal early critics of him, weren't you? Or am I thinking of someone else?
