Moyes So Far!

This one is more funny:

Kinell, I truly dislike Moyes being the manager of our club, but this guy seems really really REALLY smallminded, going at him all season long with the intensity of a psychologically wrecked ex-girlfriend still bearing a massive grudge.

It's one thing to not like the manager and critisize him, but acting like spoilt idiots during the game is just classless

Yep. His tweets can effectively be boiled down to: 'I know better than most football people, so give me the top job I deserve'.

What fans are looking for is evidence he's actually taking everything on board. Coming out after games an saying you take responsibility is only going to have an impact the first half dozen times it happens. When you keep saying it but then obviously refuse to do anything about it then it begins to wear thin.

That's what I think is missing, a sign that he understands our problems. Instead he regularly takes responsibility in the media and then the next game absolutely nothing changes. I think he could pacify a lot of the anger towards him if fans saw that he was taking steps towards addressing the issues rather than just endlessly talk about how responsible he is for them. Were he to admit his (and coaching staff's) own limitations and bring in one or two more experienced at this level faces to the backroom staff, I think that too will be received well by the fans.

Moyes has admitted several times that he didn't realise the gravity of the job until he got going. I actually think at this stage it doesn't matter what he says publically, it will be used against him. I don't think undermining his own staff publically will help anything. And anyways, people will just say it proves he doesn't know what he is doing and some will prob accuse him of passing the book!

The reason people like myself want to give him the summer to right the wrongs and mistakes he has made is because we feel its DM opportunity to show us what he is really made of. Show us why SAF put the trust in him in the first place. I can forgive a disastrous season like this under the circumstances (SAF retiring and all the other sh*t that's followed), but I believe this kind of experience will either make or break DM. He will either be stronger or weaker as a result.

DM has been constantly on the back foot all season, since he joined and the summer of transfer woes. Now he has the opportunity to work with every player and assess who he wants and who does not respond to his techniques. By backing him properly in the transfer market and giving him the opportunity to properly shape the team is giving him the right opportunity to show us if he is really capable of fulfilling his potential.

I'm wondering if we sack him, will the backroom staffs follows him out as well?

Assuming one of the likes of Van Gaal, Klopp or Hiddink come in, do you see them having Round, Lumdsen and Phil Neville in their backroom staff

Though I think the United class of 92 lot might be kept around.

Klopp in fact said on that video posted a few pages back, that his moving clubs would be contingent on being able to bring his own team with him. Likely the same for most top managers these days. Hiddink's been appointed to succeed Van Gaal with the Netherlands by the way, so another one off the list!

Maybe if he was taking over Southend or Peterborough you'd think that he needs time to assess his squad but he was taking over the biggest club in England, a side who his own side would face at least twice a season. I really don't think he needed a year to assess his players.

What if it doesn't work and we lose 100m on transfers and we don't qualify again for UCL (which would bring the total cost of Moyes experiment at around 250m (165m for transfers, around 100m for not qualifying on UCL)? It is a question that has been mentioned here several times and no-one from Moyes' supporters has come with a good answer yet. To make things worse, he may also (I think very likely) sell the likes of Kagawa and Chicharito (and a few others) who are/were/can be great players. That would make tht total cost of Moyes around 300m (I am not even mentioning the decrease of United's value which will be much more).

Here why the question is asked many times, wouldn't be better to not gamble with 300m but actually hire a manager who knows what he is doing, and has showen in the past that he knows what to do. Or should we make the most expensive gamble in the history of football just to see if David Moyes will get make or break and to give a (slight) chance for Sir Alex' dream of Moyes becoming succesful get true.

I saw a good point from someone on twitter earlier, for those who keep saying give him another transfer window and then if it's not working come xmas get rid. The point this lad made, which is another good reason to sack him as soon as possible, is the fact that the managers who we should be looking at to come in could be on the move this summer, and by the time we sack him they won't be open to coming. Klopp and van Gaal especially could both be in new jobs in the summer.

Putting off this decision could take years to recover from, someone at United should be in touch with Klopp, get a verbal agreement and tell him how much he'll have to spend if he comes, and tell him to start preparing his transfer targets so we can get them done early.

Klopp has a contract with Dortmund until 2018, and all reports indicate he is committed to the long term project at Dortmund.

He has a contract till 2018? So fecking what? We are United, we can do whatever we want. Lets wreck their fans hearts and rob them of their manager who has help build their club from the ground up and throw money at him to build our club from the ground up.

Former Everton star claims club much improved under Martinez

Moyes' previous club Everton have prospered since he left, and Campbell claims that is down to the improvements made by his replacement Roberto Martinez.

"I said earlier in the season I thought Roberto Martinez would take Everton on from where David Moyes had them and it has proved correct. They are playing with a freshness and a confidence that we haven't seen at Everton for many a year," said the former Toffees star, speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.

"Everton fans have been brought up on the team playing good football and finally it has come back.

"It is really the same players David Moyes had under his tenure, but they look different players. That attacking prowess has been upgraded and enhanced by Roberto Martinez. They are flying at the moment."

Yeah, that would be really awful. We are Manchester United. We don't stoop down to such levels. That's the reason we didn't even try to sign Robin van Persie from Arsenal! 'cause that would have left their fans with broken hearts. Good grief!

Lol, if I had a nickel for every time I heard him say similar things like that..how many time has he already said he's driven to succeed the players are hurting etc. pretty sure I hear it every few games.

Same answers as always. Reminds me of a worn answering machine.

Reasonable remarks. That bit about the the "standard of Manchester United" is the right way to put it, not that non-sense and stupid comparisons with City. We should aspire to be Manchester United.

Good comments, now time to follow with actions, and results.
