Moyes So Far!

Really? Who gives a feck who wins the title this season, Liverpool more then likely won't win it anyways. Just care about ourselves, and of course we want to win every game. Especially at home against Manchester City, give us something to remember this season by at the very least, end it on a high note, send a message that if Moyes leaves and we put in a good performance, we'll come back strongly next season.

It also helps Chelsea out if anything to win the title, so there's the little bonus if you really care.

You know what scares me more than anything atm? If moyes somehows pull through with Olympiakos, fluke a jammy 1-0 win against City, bought him some time, and the man up there decided that maybe, he needs another year.... That's my biggest worry of all.

I'd rather we lost now, get rid of him, we got nothing left to play, not even pride (They beat us 6-1 and we didn't even feel any pain), i'd rather we get all the lost this year, where nothing else matters, get Moyes sacked, and get on with life.

Here's some of the article from Red Issue...If this is remotely true then we're screwed

EDIT: And more
Maybe it's a good thing, it shows that our inept performances can be put down to rather simplistic things like not training adequately, rather than deeper rooted problems...providing he won't be here for long.

I don't know which thread I should put this so as to let as many people as possible watch this ranting. Moyes has no idea the importance of our game v Liverpool surely!

And this man is right about Moyes not being man united quality

Elderly Man United fan incredible rant blasting David Moyes following Liverpool defeat [Video]

The most worrying thing about Moyes is that , he never won away against the traditional top 4 for 10 years.

It's baffling how everyone that matters overlook that damning facts. "NEVER", I can understand if it's a low winning percentages, but "NEVER WON" at all is very damning , and it's Everton, not some relegation fodder teams.

For all the talk about his tactical genious (which IMO is a crap on a stick, he gets a team playing together for years to be well organised in defence... stoke anyone?) he can't even win one flukey win away in 10 years.....

Imagine saying to a defender, who has won 6 titles, 3 carling cups, a champions league and a world club championship, "Oh Jagielka does it this way...Do it his way!!"

With the way he talks, you can totally imagine it to be true as well.

It seems pretty obvious that the problems lie with the manager and his training methods, the midfield and no further. People keep going on about some deeper problems, but all in all its a football club. Get a good manager in with good training methods, you'll play well if you have good players. Its that simple. Sure you can say we might lack some pace, our squad isn't balanced, but there's plenty of potential players and some world class players in there, and we should be in the top 4 or at least putting up a good fight for it at the very least, as well as playing some good football.

This is the beginning of the end for Moyes. United fans are a carbon copy of chelsea fans. Try to argue it, everyone else will laugh. We will be just another club, the same as the billionaires, buying the league. modern football/ fans i guess

How do you work that out? There's not an elite club in Europe would accept our current position. It's one thing to give the guy time but there comes a point when it's clear as day that he's not the man for the job and that time as already passed.

Wanting a manager out who clearly not upto the job is barely Chelsea like, they have sacked managers while sitting in second place before now.

These were tweeted by Kevin Sheedy today....Youth coach at Everton

:( Jesus wept.

Those are both pretty damning, if the first one is true. The Sheedy account looks genuine, and those are probably worse than what Red Issue are writing. Genuinely think there are a handful of people in the playing staff who would've done a better job.

There's no way he can stay on after this season. Makes you wonder how he even got the job in the first place... inb4 "Because he's Scottish."

I agree to an extent but going from Fergie to a new manager was always going to bring with it a drop in performances/points/trophies. It's trying to work out how much is down to Moyes himself, although I do believe Moyes is a massive part in what has gone wrong.

Sheedy's account is genuine...Said it months ago, it's not RVP or Rooney Moyes needed to worry about. Ryan Giggs is the last person he should have got on the wrong side of. Ryan is the club's golden boy. If Fergie will listen to anyone, it's him

yeah i guess we can pretend people didnt' want him out in october if you want

Here we go. Wanting Moyes to be sacked when we're SEVENTH in the league after winning the title by a considerable number of points last season is not the same as being Chelsea fans. If we had wanted Moyes out after he won the CL, you would have a point. But wanting him out because he's taken the reigning champions to midtable, after losing 3-0 at home to Liverpool, is more than reasonable. This time last year we were 29 points ahead of Liverpool. Now they are 14 points ahead. That's a 43 point swing from last year.

I'll admit to not wanting him the day he was appointed. It was so obvious he wasn't the man for Manchester United. There's not a top 4 team in Europe that would have appointed him.

That's not true at all. Chelsea sacked someone like AVB who was proven to be successful while they were in the top 4, and after only like 3 or 4 months. Moyes has been here for like 9 months now, results have only gotten worse, he's brought the champions down to 7th, and basically done everything else wrong. In case you didn't know, every single club sacks their managers if things aren't going well. Bayern, Barca, Madrid, Chelsea, City, Liverpool, Juventus, Milan, Inter, PSG, whoever else you want to mention. We're a top club and if a manager does what Moyes has done, of course he will be sacked.

Some of the Chelsea fans were showing up with "Benitez out" banners before he'd even managed a single game, and Benitez has a much better track record in management than fecking David Moyes.

There isn't another top club in Europe that has fans as patient as ours. None of them would have accepted this and Moyes would probably have been gone in January, if he even managed to stay on that long. Taking the reigning champions to 7th and dropping out of all competitions in mid-March is unacceptable.

We might progress in the Champions League, but we're never getting further than the quarter finals. We'll play Bayern, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Dortmund, PSG, Atletico or Chelsea/Galatasaray, and we'll get thoroughly spanked by all of those except Galatasaray if we keep playing like we have been.

Here's going to be here midweek so lets calm down and try support the team through Olympiakos at home. If you think we have no chance of progressing you have an IQ of 5. Let's push for that and hope we can progress. Other than that, moyes has another chance to impress next week. Again, he will be here tomorrow, and if he's not then he's not, nobody cares what random internet posters think

Moyes lost the dressing room months ago, that seemed clear enough to me. He should have been sacked there and then as that is a cardinal sin as a top flight manager. Unfortunately we're dragging out the inevitable execution of Moyes' career at United.

If those Giggs quotes are true he's even managed to not only lose the players but the coaching staff too.

Managers fail all the time, be that in 3 months, a year, 5 years whatever, there comes a point where common sense says "this guy isn't panning out for us and we need to do something about it" and that point was reached weeks ago. Honestly these times we are (hopefully) going to look back on in 5-10 years and just laugh at how the reigns of this juggernaught of a club were handed down to a mid-table manager with no medals, "Wait, we actually had David fecking Moyes in charge of us, how did that ever happen?".

What an amazing real fan you are. You're wasting your time here communicating with internet fans. If only there's a United forum where only matchgoers are members..

If the giggs bit is true the you'd imagine Moyes in in trouble. The former would have huge influence on the club and fergie if he's the one keeping Moyes in the job.

Somewhat interesting:

http://espnfc.com/tables/_/league/eng.1/barclays-premier-league?cc=5901

Look at where United were a year ago versus Moyes' Everton. Now look at where United are this season. A year ago, United were 24 points better off with largely the same side. Everton were in the exact same position we are in now in terms of points. He's done at United what he did at Everton with a squad that is far better. It's pathetic.

Other teams have improved, but a large part of our predicament is Moyes' inability to beat even mediocre teams. Losing to West Brom, Newcastle, Everton, Stoke, and Spurs without a manager are unacceptable for a Manchester United manager when taken together. Losing to one or two of them away from home can happen, but he's done it home and away. That ignores his embarrassing record against Chelsea, City, and Liverpool. Outplayed in each match except when Chelsea came to Old Trafford mistakenly thinking United were a threat to them under Moyes. The man has won two games against teams in the top half after 29 games. 2.

Moyes has his level and it isn't good enough for United. Not even close.

So, usually I do a list of positives and negatives regarding Moyes every 3 months...Here's my updated version

Positives:
Januzaj
Not afraid to spend big
iPads and a Bunker ( This is how desperate I am for positives)

Negatives:
7th in the league
Out of the FA cup at the first hurdle
Embarrassingly dumped out of the league cup
Possibly one of the worsts performances I've ever seen from a top team, that night in Greece
Possibly another one of the the worst performances I've seen against Liverpool
9 league defeats
18 league goals at Old Trafford
Rumours of falling outs with Hernandez, RVP, Ferdinand, Zaha
Rumours of Giggs thinking he's a clown
Players having sly digs in the media
Playing players out of position
His small club mentality
Telling Ferdinand to do things like Phil f**king Jagielka
Weird comments to the media
Telling the press the players are mentally weak...Players who have won league titles and CL's
Telling the media that United maybe worse off, but he's not.
Telling the media the trip to Dubai was the first time he's really got to know the players
Running down Danny Welbeck in the media only for Welbeck to hit back
Fellaini
Letting RVP dictate when he wants to play or not
Bending over for Wayne Rooney
Telling the world "things will get worse" after the 4-1 against City
Bottle jobs in big games with his selections
Telling the media he has to "make it harder for teams to beat us"
Saying he "doesn't know what more he can do to win"
Rubbish tactics that were exposed after 11 minutes today by Gary Neville but, were not changed.
His presence on the touchline is of a man who is terrified and it clearly transfers itself on to the players on the pitch
"We got to the by line 10 or 11 times. I don't know how we didn't score"....Nuff said
Got rid of a winning coaching staff and system and brought in unproven coaches at this level.
Phil Neville, a man who has never coached before, was handed a first team coaching role by Moyes
All season, we have heard players say openly to the media how we spend a lot of time practicing crossing. Yet we are terrible at it. Bad coaching!
Telling the media that he goes to football matches to learn new formations and tactics. Manager of Manchester United saying that is a disgrace.
Openly admitting the job is harder than he thought.
Openly admitting he set up his team against Olympiakos to sit deep, defend and to try and nick a goal
The belittling and exclusion of Kagawa
4 wins in 2014...It is April soon..It's not 5 as we lost to Sunderland on penalties
Januzaj clearly distressed and upset over missing his penalty that night as Moyes and his staff legged it down the tunnel and never went near him (I personally find that bad man management but others will call me petty for including it. Feel free to disagree)
Defeats by teams like Stoke, Spurs, Newcastle, West Brom, Swansea, Sunderland, Everton. Dropped points against teams like Cardiff, Fulham etc
His insistence on playing a formation that does not work for us
Having 2, sometimes 3 no.10's on the pitch and no idea how to use them

Not pretty really is it?!

Wow..we've scored 18 league goals at Old Trafford this season? How the feck is the mug still here?

The solution is so obvious and we're not going to do anything, its killing me.

That would the biggest thing he can probably achieve here. Would be wonderful.

Ha you not hear about that no?

He's installed a bunker in Carrington with information on transfer targets and iPads....Basically, it's a room with football manager uploaded to a few iPads

Fantastic.

To be fair, those tweets from this youth coach at Everton are a worry. If Moyes isn't going to integrate our youth into squad then I'll be quite upset. Very upset.
