Probably Michael Keane making his debut for Blackburn. A few premiership clubs are prob looking at Ings and Trippier, doubt us though.
Cheers lads, didn't realize Michael Keane was playing for them. Just saw like 3 minutes of highlights.May have been Keane who just went on loan at Blackburn?
edit - datura got there first

I'd have him over Fabregas tbh.Definitely, if we fail to get Fabregas this summer then he'd be a good backup.

Seriously?. You dont understand why coaches go to watch games live???He's really scouting just to get some time off the club. People claim he got massive things to do succeeding fergie and a that. But does he seriously have to go in person only to scout our u21 player? Seriously, we should have a complete dossier of him. Will keane? Seriously? Going there in person to watch our player play?

Considering that we will lose two CB in the summer, it makes sense for Moyes to watch Keane and determine if he is ready before he signs a CB. I also guess that this is an extra motivation for Keane. He's really scouting just to get some time off the club. People claim he got massive things to do succeeding fergie and a that. Revan said:He loves watching football and adding to his tactical arsenal.
Infuriating isn't it? Moyes could cure cancer and people will still see it as a negative.
Well Smalling and Jones seem to get injured a lot.
Moyes really shouldn't be criticised for scouting our own players on loan.
He's literally sunk our club to midtable over the season, he's made mistake after mistake, but there's no need to criticise this.
There's plenty of evidence to call for his head already, no need to make stuff up or add superfluous reasons to the list.
Inconsistent, he's been to a few Bayern games now, clearly he has a target there, be it Kroos, Dante, or whoever.
As for Keane, he's not just another U-21, he's one that's got a good shot at being in the main squad next season, and no matter how long he's been at United, he hasn't had a lot of first team football, so keeping an eye on him is not a bad move.
As for the reserves coaches, they change as much as any, Joyce has been the U-21 skipper since 2010, his assistant is Butt, since late 2012, The U-19 skipper is also Butt, and his assistant Scholes. Hard to imagine any of them have been coaching Keane "since he was a wee lad", and it still wouldn't be under first team conditions.
Want to be a proper special computer to tell Moyes about things that haven't happened yet.My oh my, I didn't know our Manchester United has been so outdated under SAF, we probably didn't even have a computer there.
There's no record of reports on our own player... no wonder it took Moyes 8months just to properly reassess everyone.
No, he shouldn't be critized, but it's fecking annoying that he spent every weeks touring Europe in the name of Scouting. I have no idea what's in his mind, but if one day he scouts Barca - Bayern, and the next he scouts Blackburn - Burnley (fecking blackburn and burnley) just to scout "OUR PLAYER" who's right under our nose all this time, surely, ffs, surely the coach that has been coaching him since he was a weenie lad knows all there is to know about him and can give him more than adequate input? and don't give me that crap about seeing it first hand and stuff. He's a manager of Manchester United, if he needs to see every U-21 in real match in order to assess them, good lord.
You don't see other Top managers goes on to watch a Championship group matches to "Watch his loaned player"
Seriously, something is wrong in that line alone. And the amount of time he spent scouting around is extremely too often, and reeks of dithering incosistency. He watches italy one day, he watches Bayern / Barca one day, and watches Burnley the next day....
Just what the feck is he trying to scout?

I now completely understand why you get so much wrong.

Your constant whining about everything gets boring, now it's reached it's 'dumbness peak'. So much bullshit in one post it's unbelievable.
Yeah, maybe I'm just sick of people lapping everything Moyes does as "the going in the right direction" including bringing half of Everton coaching staffs, and another batch of Everton Scouting teams, Complete with Fellaini, and probably Baines in the summer.
I don't know about you, but I don't see anything positives so far.
Indeed.Im no fan of moyes but its baffling he's getting criticised for this. Hes scouting Keane to evaluate if he's at a stage whereby he can be part of the first team next season. Very simple and absolutely nothing wrong with it.
I find it funny when fans presume he's going to these games just to watch a game of football.I like it when fans presume he's watching all these euro games for specific targets.
He just likes footy games, and is in the privileged position of getting in free to whatever game he likes!

I don't remember this correctly but didn't Sir Alex used to make personal checks on players. I remember him being present for the Lyon vs. Lille game to check out Hazard and others a couple of years back. Didn't he also go and watch Nick Powell? I am sure there are many other instances.
Maybe he just went to watch Michael Keane or the fact he fancied going to watch it anyway, as people do.Just saw that he was (looked like) scouting at the Blackburn/Burnley game, were there any players of real interest playing?

Can't believe this is actually a talking point, I mean it was pretty frustrating when he was doing it around the Jan transfer window but as a general point a manager going to see players is fine both in his capacity in the job and also purely as something he might be choosing to do in his spare time. Its not like he's missing training or a match to go specifically watch people, then I could see why it might be a talking point but if he wants to go see a player then fine.
