Within reason, it's the best way to be. No player improves by sitting on the bench, at all.
Kagawa seems to

Jesus Darren come on!!
An overrated right back, no midfield, wingers who are piss easy to mark and a central defence that is piss poor (Even under Fergie)
Was gonna say he's shitting himself over his position but then I remembered :/
I agree that Fletcher is talking shit and trying to protect his own place and the currant players although it is evident that a lot of players should be shipped out for others. But, overrated right back? Are you kidding me? He has had a good season for most and every single friend of mine that is a non United supporter is rating him as the best right back in the league. We have a lot of changing to do, so why start at on of our strong points? Stupid.
Strong points? You for real?
I cannot get my head around how overrated he is on here!....Is he a good player? Yes! Is he the best right back in the league? Not a chance!
If he is one of our "strong" points, then, Jesus we are in trouble!!
Maybe in a year or two he will be the best in the league, but right now? Not a chance of it!
Then it makes sense to wait that year. fecking hell man, you are having a mare.
Before January 2014 it was unequivocally accepted amongst right-minded United supporters that Rafael at right back was one of our major strengths.
a 5-0 win away to the team that at the time was 2nd in the Bundesliga and they also needed to beat us to make sure they had a good chance of progressing in the CL was more than just a good game. It doesnt make Moyes a CL genius but then i dont recall anyone ever claiming he was a CL genius. We qualified for the next round in the CL - but that's about it. We had some good games, some decent games. But nothing to suggest Moyes is a CL genius. Let's see how we do once we face a strong team
If there's a clear out and rebuild happening, Rafael is not a player we should be losing. Before January 2014 it was unequivocally accepted amongst right-minded United supporters that Rafael at right back was one of our major strengths. He's had a few iffy games of late and, as per, the fickle are out in force. He was excellent last season, added a lot on his October return from injury this one. Since the festive period he's struggled, but who hasn't?
Didn't read Rossi's post earlier in the thread, it's awful in more ways than one.

I'd agree with that. I'm a bit worried by the persistent stories that Moyes is willing to ship him, though. If there's a clear out and rebuild happening, Rafael is not a player we should be losing.
It was equivocal. The jury is still out on Rafael, and it has a lot do do with his injury record and a little to do with some of his performances. (Contrast with another young player like De Gea, for whom the jury is in.) We will have to wait and what Moyes does about right back.

Well its not utterly meaningless to me.They are still second in Germany, although in a bit of a bad run... and PSG just put four past them, also in Germany.
I don't give a damn how special that performance in Leverkusen was anyway. It's utterly meaningless when we've rarely repeated that.
So who was he watching at Arsenal's match? Kroos?

This is what I'm worried about. Everything is being viewed through the Moyes discernment. It wasn't before Moyes entered the frame. He was one of our best players last season and has exactly the kind of attitude you want to build the club around. Sadly, under Moyes, practically everything has went tits up. I dread to think what the man plans to do about our squad in the Summer.

Suddenly even our brightest talents and best players need to be sold, and everyone's happy to go along with it. It's mental.
We should actually be happy we didn't drop any points this week.Another week without a win, i don't care that we haven't played any games, not my problem.
The trouble is the majority of criticisms on here end up being recycled cliches and parroting of things someone else said rather than clear articulate and accurate criticisms. After signing Mata and watching Fabregas, Kroos and Thiago these last two nights I have to say that you can't fault moyes for the quality of the players he's after. All three of them are absolutely class. Perhaps he sees something in Fellaini that most on here are yet to appreciate?

I think it was stated somewhere in his thread earlier on that he loves watching different leagues/matches so he can learn from it etc. I suppose that it was the best chance to see Bayern live and see how coaches set their tac-

On the contrary: this has been great week for Moyes - there has been nothing for him to get wrong. It is the calm before the storm!
@Pogue
The speculation was that Thiago was a long term club target and that Moyes got cold feet because he had not seen enough of him personally. He did his 'dithering Dave' bit. Of course once Pep got involved we had little chance regardless but perhaps we should have gone all out for Thiago early on?

I think he should judged on what players he signs, not on what players he likes. No idea if there's any substance to the speculation or not. Still a bloody good player. Along with Fabregas and Kroos. You could argue that Moyes' targets are unrealistic (although Mata is reassuring in this regard) but there's no doubting their quality.

Actually Mazinho said that we were close to sign him."Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara insists he was never approached by Manchester United about a move to Old Trafford.
The 23-year-old Spaniard joined Bayern from Barcelona earlier this month, ending speculation about a possible summer switch to United.
Thiago's father and agent, Mazinho, suggested his son had been "very close" to joining the Premier League champions, but the Spain Under-21 international appeared to contradict this claim.
"The truth is that in no moment did United come to us and talk to us. It came from the press, it was always a lie," he said."
