Moyes So Far!

So for you that means it's possible he'd choose United, then? Keep dreaming fella. :)
I'm sorry, I didn't realise you had rock solid inside information on Simeone. I bow to your superior knowledge and accept that he would never ever choose a sorry little club such as Manchester United.

But seriously, do you think Moyes is the highest calibre we can attract? That we shouldn't even dream about someone who's doing a great job at a club on the continent?

I hate thread like this... it's all about speculation... ifs and buts... sack the chosen one? Are you mad? Seriously? Do you want Manchester United to become like Chelsea/Livepool/City? We are different.

If you really look at Moyes with open eyes what do you see? I see the walking, talking antithesis of everything Manchester United Football Club stands for. I don't see confidence. I don't see swagger. I don't see fearlessness. I don't see the "We'll take on the entire world" mentality. All I see is a guy with empty eyes who oozes defeatism and fear. All I see is a beaten and crushed man. He needs to be removed today before he destroys the soul of this great football club.

yep....and Jose has all of that....:)

Jose always was the logical successor. The one true heir. But then Bobby Charlton got involved and fecked everything up for everybody.

Wouldn't mind a technical assistant manager or just coach being brought in to work on some of these playing issues, someone like Rene or Queiroz brought back to work underneath Moyes, let's be honest our football has been slowly regressing since Queiroz left, the problem is I think Moyes is too stubborn to relinquish even 5% control of how he wants to conduct his training.
Maybe he can't play the style he wants because the players here aren't up to it and he hasn't yet had the opportunity to bring in the players he needs in order for it to be effective. We'll know more after the Summer.

It's far from ifs and buts, not sure what you mean by that to be fair. How are we different, do we get into the Champions league if we finish 7th, do we stick with a manager who has failed miserably, looks out if his depth and has us playing terrible football, just because we don't sack our managers? Why get rid of players at the club like Anderson, he's been a flop, but we're different aren't we? Are we now a club that rewards failure?
Sick of this 'we are different' malarkey, we're not.

If we back Moyes to the hilt than we are indeed different than those aforementioned clubs. We are dumb and devoid of soul.

I think it will depends on how well we'll do i Champions League. Who knows, maybe he'll fluked his way to win it all. If we lose against Olympiakos, I'm pretty sure he'll be gone. Either immediately or in the summer

That mate is exactly how I have been feeling.Regardless of what happens this season he won't be removed. As you said, we'll know more after the summer!

Sir Bobby is the man who kept Fergie from getting fired in the late 80's and also the man who blocked Mourinho from replacing Fergie. So what we need is a mole who can convince Sir Bobby that Moyes is no good. He is clearly the most powerful man at the club and not Fergie. Fergie is just his Darth Vader.

He won't though...he really won't. He's here for this and next season, although if we are in this exact same position this time next year or worse..then perhaps the board might bump him...but it's not going to happen this summer.

I had been thinking similar prior the last few weeks, Martinez at Swansea, Wigan & now Everton was handed a far less technical squad yet managed to have them all playing football, similarly Pochettino came into Southampton and again has far lesser caliber players yet able to produce far better football than is to be expected.
Contrary to popular belief, our squad is not so poor that we should have dire need to go out and spend a hundred million on it.

....so one swipe of the sabre and Moyes is fooked....

Let us repeat the mantra of the brainwashed:

We are MUFC. We are different. We are not allowed to think for ourselves. We carry out orders. We will stand by David Moyes until the end of time. We are MUFC. We are different. So he's basically a great man who once helped build this club and is now the architect of its demise. It's actually very sad.

That's one of the most irritating posts I've ever seen on the Caf. Well done.

I really think it's simple.

You tell Moyes that he finishes top 4 or we part company. It will take something special, but if he's ever going to be a United legend, he's got to give us a glimpse!

Even the great Manchester United has sacked managers before. Why do we have to wait for years if it seems the man at the helm is the wrong one?

No football club in the world is stupid enough to back a total failure for two years. Not going to happen.

We're not stupid, but we do have issues. Our owners know nothing about football and the man with the most power at the club - Sir Alex - has in recent years criticized any club that sacked a manager, even when it was justified. He's also stubborn as hell.

Having Fergie as the power man and the Glazers letting him go on with his business was our great strength in recent years. Now it might be our worst problem.

I'm guessing a review will be held in December 2014, by which time he should have the players he wants and have had some time to work with them.

for those still in the support Moyes campaign, what positives can you see in him that means you still support him?

i can see absolutely nothing positive about the man, he has turned a bunch of winners into complete and utter tripe. he has made more mistakes in 8 months, than fergie made in 25+ years.

the stats from the stoke game are appaling, everything is just so badly wrong with us, but then he comes out and says we played well. Saturday was the top of the iceberg for me, he has been awful since day 1 for multiple reasons, he shouldnt have got the job in the first place, now we are in the worst period of results in 26 years and there appears to be no end in sight.

the fact that Rooney and RVP didnt pass the ball to each once in the entire game (apart from tip offs) is simply astonishing. he appears to be learning nothing, is too stubborn to change tactics for fear of admitting that he was wrong all along, too afriad to make positive substitutions and keeps picking players who are not good enough.

But but but we're Man United we don't sack managers when they fail, we're different, why do you go and support City.
lolz

this is exactly why I believe Moyes will be given at least a season and a half to have a punt....

PTME in talking complete bollocks shocker.

We're not brainwashed you tit, we're just not as rash as you.

"We will never die" is woven into the fabric of this great club yet a guy who looks, talks and acts like an extra from The Walking Dead is supposed to be your Chosen One? Please, for the love of Eric find yourself a new club.

Good shout, I fully expect this to last 3 years minimum, 3... long... years.

Please, for the love of United shut the fuck up. We get it, you don't want Moyes as manager. You've made your point, milked it, clutched at its straws and rammed it down everyone's throat.

I'm about as sick of your ramblings as you are at David Moyes. Have your opinion by any means but feck off trying to change mine.

for those still in the support Moyes campaign, what positives can you see in him that means you still support him?

Rooney, Januzaj and the incredible magic of being able to handle a Champions League group at his first attempt (of course, some managers won the whole thing in their first attempt...). The holy trinity that we're hearing about for two-three months now...

I'm not in the "support Moyes campaign", I'm in the "let's be sensible about this and give him the time he needs" campaign. If he's failing after that, so be it and he goes.

The fact about Rooney and RVP not passing the ball to one another is indeed astonishing. Maybe you should ask them why instead of automatically blaming Moyes for what two experienced players do on the pitch.

Because we are the most special club in the world where you stick to your manager and somehow he will improve like the greatest manager of all time and become a club legend

Ask any Liverpool fan if they should've sticked with Hodgson or any Bayern Munich fan they should've given Klinsmann more time. Even the great clubs with tradition of giving managers time have choosen the wrong one and so did we. Honestly it's February and the only 3 good games we had all season was a tired Arsenal and 2x against Leverkusen. Other than that we mostly have been dire and played like shit. Since November we talk about going on a run and that we need to improve on the pitch and not even a club record signing could help us to win against Stoke. The top4 look unlikely and we really should cut our losses. I get it that it's a hard transition but look at us. We've become from the Champions of England the laughing stock of the world. From a never die attitude to hmph another loss.
09 Feb Barclays Premier League Fulham
12 Feb Barclays Premier League Arsenal
22 Feb Barclays Premier League Crystal Palace
25 Feb UEFA Champions League Olympiacos

08 Mar Barclays Premier League West Bromwich Albion
16 Mar Barclays Premier League Liverpool

If we are not close to the top4 after Liverpool game our season is over and we should sack him. There's nothing spoilt or plastic about it. He took over a squad, with flaws, that won the League with 11pts. That's simply not good enough. Not anywhere near.

I'm about as sick of your ramblings as you are at David Moyes. Have your opinion by any means but feck off trying to change mine.

Just a thought, since you are sick of his views on Moyes maybe you should steer clear of the "David Moyes Sack Watch" thread.

I'd be lying if I didn't admit this worried me. Sir Alex is still the most powerful man at the club for my money, but his stubbornness in regards to manager sackings will see Moyes get plenty of time, justified or not. I can honestly see it coming to a head at some point, particularly when the Glazers start to feel the pinch.
